I will never eat at this restaurant again! My family and I were looking to grab something quick to eat tonight March 6, 2014, and decided to try Senor Tequila. The chips and dip were okay but the entrees were horrible. I had the build your own combo and chose a burrito, taco, and enchilada, which were served with yellow rice and beans. I took one bite into the enchilada and was mortified. Not only was the food anything from delicious I ended up throwing up in the bathroom before leaving. The waiter came by to ask how the food was and before I could say anything he answered his own question by saying “horrible,” and I nodded to agree with him. He then proceeded to grab the plate and threw it away, so it was my assumption, that he took the platter off the tab, which he didn’t and that was fine. But perhaps what was most devastating about the night was the fact that the owner told me in a very derogatory manner not to come back to the restaurant if I did not like the food, and walked away. The waiter returned with the card and I told him that I would like to speak to the owner because I did not appreciate the manner that he spoke to me in, he returned with the same nasty attitude and told me to leave. I had every intention on returning to the restaurant in hopes of trying something different that I might enjoy, but the way he spoke to me was unnecessary. If every restaurant owner told patrons to not return every time they criticize the food they probably would not be in business. I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone because for an owner to speak to a guest like that shows he does not appreciate the people who choose to spend their money with him.

Love this place. The menu is huge yet somehow they manage to bring whatever you order incredibly fast. The drinks are typically made well, and strong, but dont feel bad about asking them to top it off if you would like a bit more kick to your margarita, they have always been happy to do so when my wife and I go there. One thing not generally advertised is that Tuesdays are $2.99 margarita day; if you dont ask, generally you wont be told about that, and its an awesome deal. Most often we ask for servers Edgar, Carlos or Daniel when we go; all three have provided consistently great service every time.

I got the super burrito with carnitas and my wife got the enchiladas rancheras. The food wasnt bad, but it certainly wasnt very good either. We were craving some Mex food, but Senor Tequila didnt scratch that itch. So far, nothing compares to Miguels, which unfortunately is just too far south from us for a convenient weeknight meal. That said, it was 1000x better than all those casual chain restaurants (Red Lobster, Chilis, etc...) which dominate north Tampa. So, if you are trying to decide between those and the Senor, its ST hands-down.

I will give 3 stars because of the hours and the way waitress approaches you. This happened to me on a Saturday night. The hours on Friday and Saturday are 11:00 to 11:00 PM How ever we got there at 10:25 pm and waitress urged us to place our order within 10 minutes because kitchen was going to close. I asked her at what time they close and she confirmed at 11:00 pm. They cant close the kitchen before the the closing hours. It should be better for them to change the closing hours

The waiting time for this restaurant is horrible. It has taken them 30 minutes to bring us water only, the server never comes by the table, and the servers are no help at all. Plates are expensive for what they bring. If you want to go to a good Mexican restaurant, go to Chihuahua Mexican grill on MacDill in Tampa or Miguels Mexican Grill on Kennedy in Tampa. Do not waste your time coming to this place.

The food is pretty decent Mexican. And plenty of drinks. The service is decent. Pretty easy to get a table. Prices are reasonable. The biggest issue going on right now is the lighting. Whenever they run the air conditioning, the lights flicker. Its distracting, disturbing, and discomforting. Not an experience you want in a restaurant. Once they get that issue fixed, Id recommend it.

These people just dont care anymore. I waited 20 minutes to ORDER a drink, they never got around to the second one... Service here has been declining since opening. They have a margarita that cost $20! It used to be expensive at $16. Everything takes forever and is over priced. The food is of good quality, but its just not worth the crappy service and attitudes.

This place sucks dont bother going there wasting your money you will not be happy with the food I never seen a chimichanga that looks like that . this is not Mexican food shoulda went to Taco Bell instead you guys need to find cooks from Chicago they have real Mexican food out there. Im very disappointed with this place it really sucks I really mean that.

If you dont know about Mexican food please dont write about it. The only Mexican thing about the restaurant is the name señor "tequilas" the food was bland the presentation was just horrible theis burrito or if you want to call it that looks like vomit in the plate. this is a place for people that dont know food or anything about Mexican food.

Really bad service i call for made a order they put me on hold for 20 minutes and still waiting so i came to do restaurant and still the front reception didnt know how to yake my order so i had to call out a waiter my self ,and still on hold, really horrible costumer service i recommend to come and eat at the restaurant dont call to pick up

Worst service ever. Brought the wrong food. Food was cold. Never brought or ask if we needed refills on our drinks. Charge a dollar for an extra sour cream just dropped Bill on the table didnt ask if we wanted desert. Been here before and no problems. Dont know what happened to their service. Waited forever to be waited on. Sandy

Stopped to have lunch, had the Sante Fe Salad, it was delicious, chicken had a bit of kick to it but overall fantastic. Also had an opportunity to chat with the owner who is a very gracious and down to earth. They also have a great sitting area out front which gives off a very relaxed tropical feel. Highly recommended

The food here was absolutely delicious! My husband and I ordered chicken fajitas and it was perfectly seasoned and full of flavor. The beans and rice were tasty too as well as the guacamole. The customer service was excellent. We will definitely be back! Best mexican food Ive eaten since moving to Tampa!
