The Hellenic Cuisine in 2009... An Informal and cozy ambiance for any occasion... From the Mediterraneo to Miami and the beaches, is hard to find a Good Estiatorio(Restaurant for the Greek) "The Greek Place" at Bal Harbour is a great Greek restaurant for all ages. They have some really excellent dishes that bring me back to my ancestors cuisine in the Mediterraneo. All the dishes are ALWAYS Fresh. Among them a Crispy Spanakopita, Tiropita, Organic Style Horiatiki and of course the "Grilled Catch of the day" is really, amazingly fresh food. Service is always fantastic when Jenny and her Greek Crew is in charge of your table. Missing dishes on the menu: The "BRIAM" with Potatoes, Eggplant, Zucchini, Garlic and Onions and artichokes according to my great- grandmother as well as the famous Greek Dessert: Galaktoboureko. A Family Greek Restaurant within 0.1 to the Best Beaches in Town...

Restaurant was empty when we came but we still had to wait 30 minutes for some souvlaki. Food was mediocre. We chose a table outside - small sticky table, had to ask the waitress for salt, pepper as none of them were placed on the table. They served our sodas in plastic glasses.Extremely poor quality. A sad remineder of why you should not make any decision on an empty stomach.

Way overpriced with food between bad and mediocre. Lamb chops are tasteless like reheated, rice straight from the cooker, again, very mediocre food and way overpriced for what it is. This is a shame to what Greek food should be. Hope they fix their food and improve, this is bad. I do not get how they have so many positive reviews. I doubt they ate there.

It was my first time eating at The Greek Place and I was extremely impressed. As a Gyro enthusiast I have tried so many different Greek restaurants. Absolutely delicious! Both the service and scenery was wonderful as well and I am going to have to become a regular.

Delicious Greek food! Service is a bit hit or miss but generally pretty good. Prices are fair as well though their system of lunch and dinner menus that are pretty much identical except the dinner menu being more expensive is a bit weird.

Simple and good food. Nothing out of the world but very healthy, fresh and clean. Service not too nice. My waitress never come back to ask how was everything. I hate that, more when I was the only one in the restaurant.

Great spot for Greek food. I love the take out option for a quiet dinner at home, but their spot in the quaint Surfside neighborhood is very nice for eat-in also.
