Ive ordered from this restaurant since 2013, not only have I ordered take out but Ive also been to the restaurant at least 25-30 times since 2013. Last night however is the LAST TIME I WILL EVER ORDER THERE. I wont go into their prices which are as others commented are steep - (plan to spend at least $100 to feed two people), I can afford this so its not the issue. The issue is the food quality and the service. As I am a creature of habit I order the same food each and every-time I go to the restaurant or order from there. Many times I go and the waiter asks me "Do you want the same you had last time". I smile and am glad at such service, but last night I went there after work, was served by a waiter Id never seen before. I ordered my usual but when I tasted the food it tasted as if the chef had poured a mountain of sugar in it! I immediately told the waiter who then tried to convince me that it wasnt spicy enough and further took my plate away and brought it back so spicy that no one could eat it. I again told him this wasnt correct, I know the way it should taste after all its what I get each time I go. The owner was near by personally serving some older Indian men, he later chimed in telling me how I was wrong and refused to take the item off my bill. All in all I paid another $115 for meal, tipped my waiter respectfully and vowed never to go back there. The person who I was with was equally shocked and didnt like the food either. I work in customer service so I know you cant please everyone all the time, but when the owner was told that my food tasted odd and its what I order each time I go, sitting there and telling me there is nothing wrong with it and almost laying the blame on me is just DISGUSTING behavior. Not good business- at the least he should say "My apologies would you to order something else from the menu?" But not him... nothing just pay up. As we left the owner with his back turned to us said good bye - terrible who does that? So if this is the type of place you want to give business to then so be it, but Im a principled person and thats not how you treat good paying regular customers. Lastly, they seem to have some issue with the bar as last night I was told they couldnt service our table with any drinks, but we could buy one near by and bring them over. Later I saw the waiter sneaking in a bag of Coronas and serviced the men table that the owner was serving with these drinks- so I dont know what was going on there. I feel they must have replaced the chef and their staff as well, maybe the quit- who knows, all I know is the Copper Chimney I used to know and love is gone and any positive reviews you read after this will likely just be the owner trying to save face. STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE, ITS TURNED INTO A MAJOR DISAPPOINTMENT.

THIS PLACE IS DISGUSTING! Went there a few weeks ago with my fiance to try Indian food for the first time. A friend who was with us had heard about the place before and was interested in giving it a try with us. My friend has had Indian food before and had no major complaints although shes had better for much cheaper. Overall I enjoyed the food, and was planing on possibly returning despite the awkward feel of the environment and the overpriced food because of its convenient location a few blocks from my place. The waiter was a bit off and for lack of a better word strange (he almost seemed afraid to speak) and the woman in charge didnt seem to have a handle on running things. As far as the food was concerned she explained the dishes and custom of sharing the food well. I was excited for the new experience. At the end of the night we had food left over to take home, including some garlic naan. Before we asked the waiter to wrap the untouched piece, I decided to snatch a bite. Long story short this guy DROPS MY NAAN ON THE FLOOR! Just to put this in perspective for you we are sitting OUTSIDE and it dropped right behind my chair. Everyone at the table sees this and we all assume hes going to bring us a new piece (because why wouldnt he?) When he comes back to the table he brings me back the same piece of naan with my bite mark on the corner. I immediately bring it to his attention and he tries to talk his way out of it, offering to bring a new piece. Needless to say I wasnt interested in ever having anything from the kitchen again and I wanted to take back the last hour and a half of my life. The woman in charge didnt seems to care, calming the waiter is new, which in her mind excused his behavior. The blatant disregard of basic human decency was unbelievable. When I told her that her answer was unacceptable, she preceded to repeat the in loud stern voice "WHAT DO YOU WANT ME TO DO?" Almost as if she was trying to intimidate me into just paying and leaving. After a lot of back and forth we convinced the woman to take off 50% of the bill which was 150$ for just three people. Honestly the food wasnt worth a cent. If thats the way staff treats the food in eye view of the costumer.. I dont want to know what they do in the back. FOOD SAFETY SHOULD BE THE NUMBER ONE PRIORITY OF ANY RESTAURANT. Avoid this place

The hostess never said "Hello", let alone "Welcome." She just wanted to know how many were in my party. Then, she asked me if I would like to sit outside. When I said I preferred to sit inside, she took me to a table that had not yet been cleaned. So, she asked me to wait at another table that had also not been cleaned. When I finally got a clean table, she threw the menu down in front of me and walked away. When the waitress arrived, I ordered a Coke, butter chicken, and naan. The waitress brought me water instead of Coke.I did not complain or even remind her that I had ordered a Coke. A few minutes later, she rushed over with the Coke and slammed it down hard on the table, without a word. The Coke was warm and had no ice in it. A few minutes later, she slammed down a tiny plate on my table but not where I was sitting. From the moment I entered the restaurant to the moment my food arrived, the time taken was 45 minutes. I noticed, during my wait, that there were no paintings on the wall or any other type of decoration but there was a crack in the wall about an inch wide and 2 feet long. The lighting was poor, too. Perhaps the owner is saving on the electricity bill. While I was eating, another waiter bumped into my table so hard he knocked over the glass of water on my table. He did not replace the tablecloth or dry the floor. He did not ask if I was OK or even if my food was OK. He simply moved the table, without asking me, WHILE I WAS EATING, so that he wouldnt bump into it again. The chicken, when it arrived, was stringy. Some of it was overcooked and some of it was undercooked. The butter naan, however, was soft, warm, and delicious. The curry was edible, unlike the chicken. Overall, this is the worst dining experience Ive ever had, in nearly 25 years, in the US. And Im including my meals at McDonalds and other fast-food restaurants, as well as microwaved meals at home. I would not go again to the Copper Chimney in Miami even if I were paid to do so.
