This place deserves its own holiday. Or a star on the Hollywood walk of fame. Or some kind of collectible action figure. To sum up: this place is awesome. First thing to know is that the food is amazing. Big portions and it tastes great! Everything is fresh. Despite the large portions youre going to want to put in the effort to finish it because it tastes so good! And the people working there are incredibly friendly and chill. The owner walks around and talks and jokes with the patrons and you get a real down home feel. And lets not forget the decor. Frogs everywhere! Not real ones but every kind of frog memorabilia you could imagine. I think I even saw a frog alarm clock. In any case if you are in St. Petes beach and need a place for breakfast or lunch jump into The Frog Pond. (I apologize for the terrible pun.) Edit: After finishing the pumpkin waffle my entire worldview has changed. Existence has taken on new meaning. I think I can see colors Ive never seen before. That was amazing, a pumpkin-y kick to the cortex that will transport you to a New England pumpkin patch of autumnal splendor. In other words, if you like waffles, if you like pumpkin, if you like happiness then order the pumpkin waffles whenever they are available.

This was definitely a great find during our stay in the St. Pete area. When we arrived we were a little thrown off by having to write our name down at the host station, but it seemed as if the waiters were playing host and serving their guests. After we sat we were immediately served coffee. My husbands coffee (I dont drink it) was never empty! They had someone coming around solely filling up coffee and drinks. My water was missed at first but was given a couple of glasses to make up for it. No big deal. The food was AMAZING! I had biscuits and gravy w/breakfast potatoes and my husband had the lox eggs Benedict. We also shared a pumpkin waffle. The portions were awesome, both my husband and I had some left over and felt VERY satisfied. In fact, it kept us full just about the entire day. We are sad that we didnt find this place at the beginning of our stay. Thankfully we dont live too far away from the area that we will be back in the future. This place seems popular among the locals, which is a plus and a sure sign of a great establishment! We WILL be back!

Awesome place for breakfast or lunch! I wish I could post pictures because omg sooo good! My boyfriend got corn beef and hash with a side of bacon and I got this cream cheesey crepe with biscuits and gravy on the side. My boyfriends plate was LOADED, he definitely didnt need the side of bacon but we were both super glad he got it anyway because it was probably the best bacon Ive ever had! My plate was absolutely packed to the rim with delicious fresh fruit sprinkled with cinnamon and just plain perfect! I was stuck between wanting to eat all the fruit so it wouldnt go and saving the crepe or just eating both crepes first because they were so delicious! Then my side of biscuits and gravy were also wonderful however I only took a bite of these bc I had to save room for everything else! However they did make great leftovers for breakfast the next day! Yummmmm will definitely go back!

Staff is very friendly and extremely fast filling up my coffee faster than I can drink it. The food here is absolutely amazing and the breakfasts here are easily some of the best breakfast dishes that I have ever eaten. I reccomend any of their omelettes. In particular I usually get either the Lox eggs and onions which is packed with smoked salmon or the Jacques Cousteau which has surimi tomatoes cheese mushrooms. The amount of toppings that they put into these omelettes is huge in fact the amount of toppings easily equals or exceeds the amount of eggs in the omelette. If you do go though make sure to park in the back and enter through the back it is much less crowded there and easier to get in and out of the parking lot that way as well.

The food was excellent... but I was personally MUCH more impressed with the owner who was taking names and having servers seat diners, actually came around a couple of times to say hello and make sure we were taken care of... then finally was bussing tables and using a manual sweeper to quickly get up some crumbs off the floor. That truly impresses me and they now have our future business! :-) ***07/16/2016 UPDATE*** Once again, the owner was wiping down tables between taking guests names and having people seated. Hes one hard working guy! The servers here are always quick, attentive & kind. We just LOVE eating here and the good is, as always, SO dang delicious!!!!

By far, The Best breakfast place Period. The service is amazing. We were greeted as soon as you walk threw the door, sat immediately. Coffee or your choice in seconds. Extremely friendly staff. The food portions are huge. Im a very big eater and could not finish. Very fresh cooked to order. I went there 2 days in a row. I would have gone more if I was there longer. I highly recommend it. It takes a lot for a place to get me to write about it and the Frog pond is well above that. I wish there was a franchise around the country, "idea" Thanks, Ian

A local gem! I ordered the sausage frittata. Huge portions! Loaded with sausage, potatoes, onions and fresh tomatoes on a bed of egg, covered with melted cheese. Their homemade Strawberry jam was to die for! Superb service! The staff was very attentive and kind. The owner was very nice, visiting each table to chat and make sure everyone was enjoying their meal, paying special attention to the children with their families. I highly recommend The Frog Pond!

I defy you to find a better place in St Pete Beach or even Tampa! Sausage links are big and the most tender you will ever have. The American Fries are wonderful sliced potatoes and lightly seasoned. Omelettes are gigantic. The fruit plate is a monster. We shared the small fruit plate with four of us and still took some home. The service is by far the best! I dont get this good of service at a five star $$$+ restaurant.

Weve been there several times making the long drive down from near Safety Harbor. Usually I rate them a 5 because everything is top notch. We went on 26 DEC and food was not up to their normal standards. One in my party ordered Eggs Benedict and the yokes were hard. My roast beef omelet wasnt to die for like it usually is. Hopefully this was just a one time experience because for the price, I expect excellence every time I visit.

The food is excellent and the portions are huge. The place is a big hit with the locals so you know its good. They have a giyguy going around all the time just filling up coffee. The staff is attentive and the owner is a wonderful and hard working guy who works his tail off assisting his staff to get patrons seated and fed quickly. It is our favorite place in town. We always come in when we visit the area. Sheila and Randy
