Ate here during my "Staycation" 4th of July week 2014. The service was good and the food came out quickly, but honestly, there was nothing SPECIAL about the restaurant or food. I had the biscuits and sausage gravy with cheese grits, and my hubby had an omelette with ham and cheese and a side of rye toast. The biscuits and gravy was ordinary, and the portion was small. The grits were terrible and tasted as if they were instant! Hubby liked the omelette, said it was cooked and folded perfectly, but nothing special. Lots of locals were at the bar, and the place is small so fills up rather quickly. The prices are cheap and the place is clean, but Id probably have more selection at the local IHop. Eat here if you have no other choices (which is true if youre actually staying in Pass A Grille,) but if you can travel by car, go find the local IHop or Waffle House. Its really unfortunate that Pass A Grille/St. Pete Beach just doesnt have any outstanding breakfast restaurants...

I came here with some friends after going to the beach, and first thing I have to say is how CHEAP the place is good Lord. I wasnt expecting a restaurant on the beach to be so cheap. But this isnt a bad thing, because the word cheap may give the impression that the service and food match the price. But this wasnt the case at all. The portions were considerably large given the amount I paid, and the food was pretty good as well. Our server was very friendly and courteous, and generally it was an enjoyable breakfast. Nothing to fall in love with, but I really did have a positive experience.

After years and years of hearing about this place, we finally went in and tried their breakfast. The menu is rather small (no French Toast, no Eggs Benedict, no Crepes) but the classics are there (Omelettes, Eggs, Pancakes). The seating is nice and nostalgic, the view was nice and sitting by an open window was a plus. The serving size was ample and breakfast was good. The clientele was an older crowd and we saw several retired first responders. The road leading to Pass-a-Grille is still under construction, but once there, it was worth it.

Used to come here all the time and will no longer come here... they now tell you..to wait outside in the 100 degree weather when there is no one inside...and about two parties waiting outside. Horrible service and horrible food ...would never come back here again. Get new employees and new management and I may consider returning if not good luck going bankrupt....

Well, I literally live 3 blocks from this place and Ive only been there once...not my favorite spot to eat ... no real options for vegetarians and vegans. And the entire place seems to be panneled in wood... Kinda claustrophobic feel. Also, the servers were unattentive and teetering on rude. There will always be a wait to be seated too. Great location though.

This is a piece of history. Place has been around forever on St. Pete Beach. My aunt lives about a block from this place and its her favorite breakfast spot and I see why. Price is very affordable, food was great and waitress was awesome. Plus they have all kinds of stuff on the walls and tables that shows the history, good and bad.

The Seahorse is delightful, yummy, and inexpensive. The food is great, the service is good, and the location is great. We love the omelettes, the pancakes, and the prices. Although you typically have a wait, it is well worth it. Plus, you can take a stroll on the beach after breakfast to work off that french toast!

This place was a nice little vacation stop for breakfast. The decor was very unique and made it feel like a real beach restaurant. The food we had was good, but nothing to write home about. Granted I was only here for one breakfast visit, but would surely consider it again when I come back to the area.

Atmosphere is very laid back ! Cozy, Florida beach style. Breakfast was very typical of Southern cooking. Service was super fast and server very friendly. We had corn beef hash and biscuits and gravy. Cooked perfectly. Coffee was great. Very affordable. A definite return spot when here on vacation.

Been going here since I was a little fella. My dad and I would go fishing off the seawall when Id be there visiting my grandma (now my parents) and then pack up our gear in the trunk and walk down for breakfast at the Seahorse. Simple good food that hits the spot after a morning of fishing :)

I was there this past weekend with my friends. The waitress was awesome! I did not have to ask for anything. She kept my coffee cup full the whole time. She knew that it was very important to start my day. Everyone there had smiles on their faces. I will go back again and again.

Great place for breakfast. I havent been here in years, but what I remember is that the food is good and the service is good. There is a nice outdoor area for eating which is good when its not hot out. I remember the pancakes being good and delicious.

Who doesnt love blueberry pancakes coupled with a mimosa! This place has an amazing staff, and great food. My wife and I love to come here to look over the ocean, while we eat breakfast either inside or out! Its a wonderful location with great food.

I had the Cuban sandwich. It was absolutely delicious. My side was black beans and rice, also very good. Nice little place with some history, awesome waitress. My husband enjoyed his burger and my son had the grilles fish. We all enjoyed it.

You can enjoy a view of the water while sitting on benches at this wood-lined restaurant that feels nautical and homey. Breakfast and lunches are served with decent portions (try the grilled cheese), and the prices are good given the upscale area.

A local favorite for breakfast and lunch. Good food and excellent service especially at the counter where long time associate "Debbie" makes the experience special and the reason the regulars and tourists alike keep coming back.

Unimaginative cooking in a tremendous setting. The service and ambiance is solid Southern. However, the breakfast fare reflects older times as well. It is the place grandparents take their visiting family.

My favorite place for breakfast in st pete beach. There is usually a little wait on the weekends, but its worth it and you can watch the pelicans while you wait. The food and service are always great!

We are here every week. Limited menu, but what they do, they do with excellence. Their grits are the best I have ever had anywhere. The waitstaff are like family. I could not recommend it more highly.
