Delicious and unique food, local craft beer selection, and one-of-a-kind atmosphere. My husband and I went here for the first time tonight after reading the reviews. We were not disappointed and have decided that were going to take people here when they come to town to visit. GAS uses quality meat thats been grass fed, fresh ingredients, and fresh fish. They even have rosemary, oregano, and chives growing right in front of the restaurant. The inside decor is really neat. The owners are a husband and wife - the wife was our server and she was fantastic. They have different specials each day - today was an espresso rubbed bison flank steak with a blueberry mustard sauce and pineapple soy ginger chicken. They also have different homemade desserts on their specials board. We started with the deviled eggs (which are brought to your table in lieu of bread). Neither of us have ever really liked deviled eggs all that much, but we finished our plate because they were so delicious. Then we had ordered a cup of the tomato-basil bisque soup (a special) with a balsamic reduction on top. They brought it out in a coffee mug (a cup!) which was really cool. For our dinners, I had the meatloaf, which was a mixture of pork and beef wrapped in bacon with a homemade bbq sauce. The flavor was awesome, and sauce was really good. My husband had the burger Benedict, which was two burger patties topped with tomato, bacon, and bearnaise sauce. He said the flavor of the beef was ridiculously good and the burger was just amazing. Neither of us had gotten the steak special, but asked if we could have a small side of the blueberry mustard sauce. She brought some out to us and it was SO good! We brought it home with us so that we can eat it with our leftovers. I would highly recommend checking this place out. The wait for two was about 30 minutes on a Saturday night at 7:00, and its well worth the wait. Overall, awesome place!

As I read all these glowing reviews of this abysmal restaurant, I cant help but wonder if all of them were written by friends and family of the owners. Upon our arrival, I had to verbally battle the hostess to prevent her from seating us so close the door, we could have held it open for other patrons as they left. Then we were virtually ignored by our server [later identified as the co-owner] who was busy chatting with other patrons for long periods of time rather than tending to her tables. I was even more taken aback by her bubbly little ramble that was nothing more than mere excuses for her dreadful service. She prattled on and on like a rabid spider-monkey about this and that as she tried to justify her ignorance of our needs. We told another staff member that we did not want the co-owner to serve us, and that request was ignored as well. Every subsequent request we made to the staff was totally ignored, and that just added fuel to the fire. The food at this excuse of a restaurant is barely edible, and the menu is quite insipid. Go there if you must, and if you want to see the effects overdosing on Prozac has on food service workers.

My daughter and I had our first visit to celebrate my Birthday lunch. The restaurant was full , with a line waiting. I didnt want to stay, but my daughter felt we should. Boy, am I happy that we did! I had Jerk Chicken entree. She had Black and Blu chicken sandwich. We shared appetizer of Rueben Ribbons (?) The hostess and our waitress,Brittney, were adorable, professional and attentive. The food was excellent, fresh, well prepared and beatifully plated. We were too full to have dessert, but returned later in the day to just that. The peanut butter bomb, was The Bomb. The brownie was nicely presented but not outstanding in taste. We will be going back! Adorable place, just a little noisy. If you are looking for a quiet, romantic place - this is NOT it. But fun, great food and service in a small cafe.

I love this restaurant. Their burgers are the best. Freshly made buns, locally raised beef, fresh veggies - You can taste the difference. I read the guys review a couple of reviews before me and he must be quite the pretentious $#% hole. If youre looking for 5 star dining this is not it. But, If you like great food, that tastes different than your everyday chain restaurant, then you definitely want to give them a try. I have a new favorite burger. I like the classic cruiser, make it a double if youre hungry, with Feta Cheese. The Fried Green Tomatoes is a must. My wife loves the Peanut Butter Pie. If you go in peak time, you may have a little wait, but it makes the food taste that much better.

Found this place on Food Networks website after it was featured in an episode of The Best Thing I Ever Ate. My wife and I visited twice while we were in town. The first time I had the Jalapeño Popper Burger, which was the reason the GAS was featured on the show, it was great! The second time we returned for desserts, I had the Chocolate Almond Pie and my wife had the Peanut Butter Bomb. Both were great. The staff is friendly and the food uses locally sourced ingredients. This is not a fast food joint so there can be a wait, but it is worth it. They grind their own beef and bake their own burger buns. They also have a rotating selection of locally brewed beers to choose from.

Food was great but the prices were too high! My burger was delicious however, for $12 I expected a much larger burger. My son decided not to order off the kids menu because they charged extra for lettuce, tomato and pickle so our waitress suggested we order off the regular menu. By the time you pay extra for cheese and toppings the prices just keeps going up. I will say his burger seemed much larger than mine but that could just be from all the toppings. The dining area is very small, luckily we got sat right away before a rush if people. Our waitress was nice and the place was clean. I just wish the prices were more reasonable.

Let me start by saying the young lady serving us was terrific, the place is clean and the ambiance was cool. I dont need or want a bunch of frou-frou on my burger, so I opted for the Single Cruiser with a side of Gas Cole Slaw...The burger was good although a small patty between a whole lot of bun(the bun was fresh and tasty),the cole slaw is not something I would order again..Took my Mom along and she had the Cheesy Queesy?(grilled cheese). All in all the food was ok but after spending $31(incl.20%) on a burger and grilled cheese and two sodas I expect a little more than what I received.

Absolutely the best vegetarian burger I have ever had in my life! Their black bean burger makes this vegetarian feel like she is eating something close to the real thing! And the sweetest, friendliest people work there and own this restaurant! I just love it at Gas. Try the Ginger Beer. Sooo good. Will definitely return again and I feel everyone should know how amazing this restaurant is. Even my boyfriend said that he cannot eat a burger anywhere else now. He said every other place that serves burgers is bland and boring compared to Gas! Great service, great food, and great people!
