This could just be one bad experience, but last night, my parents visited Villa Verde Cafe for the first time. They wanted me to come with them, but I wasnt feeling well, so I asked them to bring me home a Chicken Parm dinner. My parents said "we ordered the special" and they enjoyed what they got. When they came home, they gave me my chicken parm and I opened the take home container. First off, the chicken portion was SMALL, but second... There was almost NO SAUCE on ANYTHING. When I started eating it, the chicken was ok tasting - despite how dry it was, but the pasta was all clumped together and was so dry, I really couldnt eat much of it at all. To me... It shouldnt matter if youre take out or dine in. You should get the same QUALITY, either way. Its almost as if they said to the kitchen - "just throw some old chicken and pasta in a to go container for him." I wouldve given them a 1, but like I said, my parents said they liked what they ate.

My husband and I love this place! We have never had such delicious Italian food anywhere. Their bruchetta has officially ruined bruchetta for me, because I will never order it anywhere else. Because Im pregnant, I even find myself waking in the middle of the night wishing I had a plate of it. It is absolutely the best bruchetta anywhere. For dinners weve had the lasagna, canellonis, and agnolloti villa verde. Everything weve ever had is amazing, and my favorite is the agnolloti villa verde. Also, tonight we took home a napoleon. Ive tried napoleons before and Ive never been overly thrilled by them. This napoleon is not just the best napoleon, but its the best dessert Ive ever had. Weve been to the dessert room at Berns Steakhouse, and none of those desserts had anything on this napoleon. I will absolutely order it again in the future, and we will definitely be back.

Took my husband and parents to dinner here, hoping it would be a great restaurant. The service was terrible. It took forever to get our drinks and getting refills was nearly impossible. I had to ask twice. Our calamari was overcooked and chewy. 2 of the 4 entrees we ordered were not available so we had to pick different things. 2 tables that were seated after us (a table of 2 and a family of 5) got their food before us, even though we ordered well before them. I ordered the mushroom & cheese ravioli in an aurora sauce (which wasnt available) so I was told the chef could make me cheese ravioli in in a mushroom sauce. The mushrooms were not even cooked. The sauce was not aurora, it was a heavy cream sauce that made me sick. Overall I do not recommend this restaurant and will not go back.

Really wanted to like this place, but the lack of service, mediocre food at best, and most importantly the owners themselves made it impossible to do so. The service was abhorrent. No silverware at the table, little to no interaction with our very distracted waitress, (who we later found out was the owner), calamari tasted more like breaded rubber bands fried in french fry oil, red sauce was tasteless. The few patrons that were in the very cramped dining area felt as we did...When we tried to respectfully urge them to work on their service and their entrees, the cook/owner came from the back and argued with us for 15 minutes. The place is very out of the way, which is probably a good thing since we urge everyone to not try finding it.

My wife and I arrived at 4:50 PM. There was one other couple already seated and by the time we had finished our meal, at 6:15 PM, there were 16 total patrons in the dining room. My wife and I are both good cooks and neither of us could replicate the dinners we were served. To start we had Calamari, the best we have had in Florida. My wife had the Eggplant Parmesan and I had Saltimbacca Napoli. Both of these dishes were sliced super thin and spiced to perfection. We were still experiencing levels of separate tastes four hours later. The Sangria was fruity and tasty and the tiramisu was way better than the one sold at the bakery from Publix. Good work.

BEWARE::: Salads arent included in the meal. However, I did ask how much a "side salad" was. Both my husband and I thought she said $1.95 (which would be reasonable) Bill came and it was $4.95 each. Very small salad, some mixed green with 2 grape tomatoes and nothing special. The "Side salad" is almost half the price of the dinner entree. After questioning the price the owner wasnt willing to do anything about it. Very poor customer service for this 1st and last time customer. Too bad because the waitress was real nice and attentive. Too many other good Italian restaurants in the area to spend my money and not feel valued.

I gave it 2 stars because the first time we came here it was great. Tonight, we were asked if we had a reservation. We said no. The waitress/hostess said give her a minute, she had to do something and would be right back. We could see 2 open tables. She passed us several times in the next 10 min and said nothing to us. Nor did anyone else. If those tables were reserved, I understand. Let us know that. Maybe we could have come back in 45 min. But they just left us hanging.

IF you are looking for a place to eat and from the minute you sit down your feeling rushed. If you are looking for food that was previously frozen and out of a box. THAN THIS PLACE IS NOT FOR YOU!! NOW! If you are looking for a down to earth family own business that greets and remembers you every time you enter the restaurant. If you are looking for Delicious Home made Italian Food, Sauces and Deserts. This is the place for you. we HIGHLY RECOMEND IT.

Great authentic Italian food!!! Do not expect fast service, def a place to enjoy good company and drinks while everything is prepared fresh upon order. Raviolis are great; but probably not as an entree, portion size is 6 pieces. However, all other dishes are in generous portions. Owner is from Napoli (Naples) and brings all of Italys flavors to the rural area of Pasco county. Def a great find outside of Tampa!!!

Loved it. We had a lovely early dinner, great service (although we were the only people there). But pasta was perfect and worth every penny. And to who complained about the salads...everywhere you go a salad costs that much and the BF ordered the special which came with salad, so i wouldnt hold it to them, all other prices were reasonable for the quality. Will go again!

This place has some of the greatest homemade Italian food you can buy. Its a great locals secret. I get the chicken Marsala every time and my wife always gets the Fettuccini Alfredo. Their home made pasta is to die for. You would never know this place unless someone told you about it. So heres me telling you about it. This is not your mommas cooking...this is better.
