This is my very favorite restaurant on Sanibel Island! Everything is always delicious and the portions are HUGE! Today I had the eggs Benedict with their special grilled Parmesan tomatoes, but I most often order the fruit and yogurt parfait, which I can barely finish on my own! I love that all toast and muffins come with their AMAZING homemade raspberry jam! Ugh, sooo good. I also really love that I always feel taken care of, and that the servers are attentive and happy to help, no matter how full the place is. Its such a cozy little spot! And I cant forget to mention their AWESOME tables filled with sea shell fossils! They are so unique! I highly, highly recommend the Sanibel Cafe!

They need to rethink their pancake batter. Not very sweet, no vanilla or anything. Just tasted like burned flour. Not very tasty at all. Coffee was really, really bad. Eggs and bacon were cooked well. Waitress didnt check on us at all after food came. The bill was higher than expected but the kids were getting restless so we decided to pay the bill and split. Coming from a small town, this place looks like it was once successfully run, but then sold off to new mgmt a couple times. Should have gone somewhere else. The tables are cool looking, but the whole joint needs be cleaned.

MISERABLE. OVERPRICED. COFFEE BAD Tasted like water. Waitress was nasty and the only one waiting on the entire restaurant. My apples were crunchy. My biscuit was black on the bottom and dots of black on top and tasted stale. My omelette was ok. My husband and i each got cheese omelet and ONE cup of coffee and she never bothered to refill it (even tho it was bad) and our bill was 30.00. A CROCK AND A WASTE OF MONEY.

We went July 3rd and the seating and service went smoothly. The meals were timely and portions were large. I thought the value was good. My daughter had the Rusty Pelican turkey sandwich with Harvarti cheese and thought it was a nice combination of ingredients. I had the Snooty Fox and traded the mayo for barbecue sauce, which was a better match, plus I could use it with the fries.

Das Frühstück war in Ordnung, aber nichts Besonderes. Der Bacon war fast kalt, habe ich nicht verstanden, weil das Lokal nicht überfüllt war. Die Bedienung war sehr freundlich..

Very friendly staff. Portions were a good size and prices were fair. We had breakfast, and while the seasoning was light for my taste, it was still good and easily remedied with some Cholula or salt and pepper. The salsa was a bit heavy on chili seasoning, and thats about the only thing we could have done without. Homemade jam on the toast was a nice touch.

This restaurant was described as Sanibels hidden gem. Well, its hidden because Im sure that no one recommends it. I ordered shrimp expecting fresh shrimp but it looked like imported frozen shrimp. My husbands fish sandwich was pretty good. The decor is old, dirty, and dated. Our server was also slow and inattentive. I rate this as average at best.

Bonnie was our service. Me and 4 kids on the table, she was amazing!!! Just her made a beautiful experience! She was super busy, but still have time to explain the plates to my kids and make changes to the order for them!!! Ill be back in Sanibel next year and back to Sanibel Cafe just for her outstanding service!!! 5 stars!!!

An outstanding little cafe for breakfast or lunch. Well usually stop in following Sunday mass at Saint Isabel. Their breakfast is fantastic (I like the Islander Breakfast-sauteed gator, eggs, hash browns and toast...delicious). Prices are extremely reasonable, and they truly make you feel like family there.

A very nice local restaurant. The theme as one might expect is sea shells......and plenty of them. Order your breakfast or lunch and then sit back to enjoy the surroundings. Friendly staff and delicious food....you cant go wrong.

In the many years Ive vacationed on Sanibel, I didnt go here until the last couple visits. It was great both times I stopped for lunch. Im not much of a shopper but it is a good location to look around if you have time.

Delicious food! Very large portions for the price. Great service. Would recommend arriving earlier than later for breakfast. We were seated at 10:00 without delay, but was filling up toward 10:30.

skip it, the food is pretty bad. I never knew someone can mess up bacon. Burt it so bad I thought it was fire wood. hash browns were raw. and the coffee tasted like water with food coloring.

Fun place to stop for breakfast! The drinking water is "ocean" tasting, making the coffee a bit off. The food was great! Service was friendly and attentive.
