I typically dont do 5 stars but this place has very good food, competitively priced and great customer service....Ill explain....Were from Colorado and stopped by to eat but needed to be out by the time the grocery store next door closed otherwise this wouldnt be an issue... We were asked shortly after taking our seat if we were ready and we said we needed a couple to look over the menus. We picked up our server seemed to be having some issues (we all have those days... Not sure if that was the case). After waiting long enough to wonder if wed make it to the store on time, I told my wife if we hadnt gotten drinks already and had cash, Id leave a 5 and go. Almost as soon as that came out of my mouth another server came and apologized and stated the manager was going to pay for our meals. Im not a big fan of that. I like to pay for what I get. The food was great. My wife said "the best meatloaf Ive ever had" (she spared a bite and it is delicious). We left a 20 for them to split or pay for most of our meal or whatever. When we were getting ready to leave the manager (Jennifer I believe) came by and gave us certificates for our next visit. Really above and beyond and very friendly. If we get time while were here, well definitely be back and would come back even without the certificates. Great place. Sorry for the long review, but this place is really worth visiting.

Metro Diner is certainly on my list of favorite diners around the Jacksonville Beach. It is extremely casual, so you dont have to worry about wearing fancy clothes. Also, this particular Metro Diner has an extremely nice view. The waiters and waitresses are extremely nice, and will do a lot to make your visit nicer. The food is also good too. I ordered the vortex burger and it was probably the best hamburger Ive ever had in my life. The French dip is also really good. This place often has a wait, if you go for breakfast. Dinner and lunch shouldnt be an issue. This place unfortunately does not accept reservations, but they do a call ahead system instead. Which means that you can call 30 minutes before you arrive and have your name put on the waiting list even before you get there. And, if you are a business, you might want to consider advertising on their placemats. Overall, this is an extremely nice Diner and Id highly recommend it.

Id like to start with a disclaimer, I ate here before it got too big and the quality was way better back then. Also, when its not as crowded its also better quality. My friend and I went on a Sunday at 10:30am (busiest times) and say at the breakfast bar. The breakfast bar is first come first serve and we didnt have to wait at all for the seats. I had the Moms omelette and my friend had the 1/2 order of Huevos Rancheros. My omelette was good, but not as good as normal. Typically, they have the BEST omelettes, super fluffy. I also ordered extra crispy hash browns, but the outside was crispy and the inside was raw. My friend enjoyed her meal too. The waitress was nice and attentive as well. I will definitely be back. I just wasnt as impressed as normal. The woman next to us raved about their cheeseburger, which I will most definitely be trying next time!

We LOVE Metro and go here often. Unfortunately we got food poisoning from the chicken pot pie last night and it has been rough. I called Metro this morning to let them know about what happened to us and to make sure they were aware and to toss that batch of pot pie. I left my number with the hostess and asked that the manager call me back. No call back. Pretty disappointed. I have to say, as a restaurant that sells food like every other restaurant, you can use your customer service to stand out. You failed in our minds in that respect. It would have made all the difference.

Family and friends have been raving about this place so we had to stop to see what the buzz was all about! There was about a 10 minute wait at peak breakfast/lunch time and actually sat quicker at the bar so not bad. Had classic breakfast everything exactly the way I wanted. Girlfriend had juevos rancheros which she loved. The attention to detail is fantastic. There is a guy in charge that runs a tight ship, keeps everything clean and is meticulous about every single item and plate that is served. I would highly recommend this place! Please someone build one in Tampa!

My wife and I ate here on 1/30/17. While we got seated quickly, it took almost 15 minutes for us to be acknowledged by a waitress. My wife had corned beef and hash which was most undercooked even though she ordered it crispy. I ordered meatloaf which was bland and tastless, but just smoothed in gravy. There seemed to be no one of authority present, only college aged employees standing in a huddle. There was one girl that seemed to be trying to take up the slack, and the hostess was doing her job. Otherwise, no direction and terrible food.

Went for breakfast with my husband, my breakfast was okay. He ordered the blueberry cheese cake waffles and it was terrible, the cheesecake was just a pint of cream cheese. Decided to give them another try, we went back for dinner. I ordered fish and chips and the fries were reheated fries that were cold and stale. Asked the server for fresh fries, they never came. My husband had the Philly cheesesteak and it was bland with stale bread and hardly any cheese on it. Will honestly never go back, food is sub par but servers are friendly!

My daughter and I started the 4th of July with breakfast at Metro Diner in Ponte Vedra Beach. It was fantastic. It is a beautiful restaurant with a lovely patio. The food was out-of-this-world delicious. Becky had patriotic oatmeal topped with red, white and blue fruit. I had the best sausage gravy and biscuits I have ever had. The service was perfect. Everyone who was working was extremely courteous and efficient. I am so glad this restaurant is less than a mile from where I live. I plan to go often.

Great food and service! After being refused service at the Metro Diner in Jacksonville, beach (we werent aware they close at 2:30pm - we get there at EXACTLY 2:30pm, tell them we drove quite some distance to get there, and the girl still happily refused to accept us), Metro Diner in Ponte Verda were happy to accept us, their staff was extremely attentive, and Jennifer, the manager, gave us vouchers for the inconvenience experienced at the Metro Diner in Jacksonville. So now, Ive switched my Metro Diner spots.

5 Stars for Metro Diner*****. The Mrs. had the Country Benedict (w/Sausage) and I went with the Sandi Beaches Benedict (Canadian bacon, spinach and tomato). The homemade lemony tasting hollandaise (always a good indicator) was terrif. Prices were less than most fancy breakfast places and theyve got the diner feel with some stools up close to the cooking area where you could see what and how theyre cooking if you had a mind to.

We were in town for wedding and had breakfast here. It was fresh and hot and prices were reasonable. My son who is moving nearby says he will be frequenting quite often and we will also when visiting. The only thing I will say is the tables were connected lunchroom style which was a little uncomfortable but overall I highly recommend.
