My family and I have been long time customers coming in about once a week for the past year. Always spend 30$-50$ and are super easy to deal with. Having worked in the food industry, we make our orders simple, never complain, do not have the server running all over, are very patient and always tip at least 20% no matter what....typically more. Recently due to out work schedules we have ordered carryout. Each time we get 2 orders of cheese dip....one for my husband and I to split and one for our kids to split, plus our regular meals. Each time we were only given 1 bag of chips to share and always end up running out. This afternoon I placed carryout ordered and politely asked for a bag of chips with EACH cheese dip so we had enough. I was told no, they would not do that and I would have to pay extra. This makes no sense to me...if we dine in we get unlimited chips. If I placed two separate orders...I would get a dip and bag of chips with each. The extra bag is only 2$ so its not the money, its just the point that I shouldnt have to spend 3.95$ for one dip and chips and 3.95+2.00$ for the second to include chips that SHOULD come with it. The employee had a major attitude and when I asked to speak to the manager, I was told he was at "lunch". This was at 2:45 pm...I asked when he would be back and was told they didnt know. maybe 5 or 6pm. They also stated they didnt care if I went someone else. I very rarely ever post negative reviews on a place, but the way I was treated today is unacceptable and after a year of frequent visits, I will not longer be returning nor will I recommend them to any of my friends, co workers or family. On the bright side went to flalger beach tried La Familia and loved it! Staff was very nice and no issues with my order. I found our new place to spend my money at :)

Ive been here several times and each time was very very lame, wont be going back. Food is pricey and not worth the money, the first time I ordered potato taquitos, it was literally plain mashed potatoes in a fried tortilla, no flavor no seasonings no cheese, lame. We were seated by a booth of children with no parents sitting with them (the parents were another both behind their kids) the children were running all around the restaurant and yelling the whole time, nobody said anything to these parents about their childrens behavior servers couldnt even get through the aisle, you would think this would prompt a staff member saying something, it didnt apparently they were to spineless to say something, well I did I went to the front right by where the parents were sitting and loudly told the staff (so the parents would hear as well) that this situation was unacceptable a host then quietly tells me she knows and understands. I went there for a nice relaxed place to eat good food, it was anything but. The server both times only came by one time the entire meal (over an hour of being there). The second time I ordered a vegetarian chimichanga it sucked. It was plain frozen vegetables (carrots broccoli peas) straight from a freezer bag into a tortilla with cheese, again no flavor no seasoning. I went their for Mexican food not a pot pie in a tortilla, no onions peppers tomatoes nothing, the staples of Mexican cuisine. I dont know how this place is so popular and how they have been open this long. Do yourself a favor and go to taco bell! Or if you want to overpay go to Moes across the way. When is this town going to get decent restaurants?

It was a busy Friday night. We came in and stood by the front door for about 10 minutes, no greeting of any kind. We learned from other customers that there was a sign in on a notebook at the cash register. After about 20 minutes we were seated, normal wait for a weekend, no problem. No server came to our table for another 20 minutes. After ordering it was another half hour before our food came, there were only four of us. One small bowl of salsa with chips were given to us with not a single refill in all that time. When our food finally came my food order was wrong. They brought me the same meal my husband ordered. After waiting about 10 minutes for someone to come back by our table, no one did, so I went looking for someone to have our server come to our table. When I explained that my order was wrong, he looked at me as if I had lost my mind. I ask him if he could check my order ticket so he could see my order was not even close to what I ordered, his reply was, "maybe, maybe not". I was shocked as there was no reason for this treatment. I had been polite in every way. At this point my family was done with their meal. We paid and left. Our family will never go back to this restaurant again. They are moving into a new location in the brand new addition in their plaza, but I will not support a business that cannot treat its customers with common courtesy.

We had stopped going to Salsas, after many years, about 3 months ago; we sit at the bar, hubby looks at tv, and the last few times we were in there, it was not good, the service was flippant and the drinks were bad, the food, very "EH". We had the distinct pleasure to give Salsas another try a couple weeks ago; I asked the different bartender, named Taylor, WHO is the manager here now, things are very very different! As in GOOD!; Taylor told me, his name is Memo, and he came out to meet us. We thanked him for considering our requests, for house margaritas that actually had Cuervo Tequila in it, and for great food, even substituting things for things i dont eat on my order! They care for the customers in the bar area, and care about any special needs! Just wanted to report that things have greatly improved in the bar area, since Memo is the Manager there, and Taylor is the bartender; the food was excellent, and our bill was reasonable. We asked where the other manager is, and the particularly unkind, rather unsavory barmaid (for a family friendly bar area), and interesting to find out, neither of them are there anymore, and yes, you guessed it, they had a thing going. Anyway, decided to write about the GOOD CHANGES in the Salsas Mexican Restaurant and were very glad we returned as we dont get to go out often! Thanks, Memo and Taylor!!!!

Good food, awful service We gave this place 2 chances. The first time, the only person actually working was the hostess. As a former food and beverage employee, I have a lot of patience and sympathy for servers, but the staff is lazy and rude. None of the servers helped the host answer the phone, even when they werent busy. None of the servers acknowledged customers coming in, even when standing in front of them. All the servers did was take orders and then sit in the front and talk to each other like they werent even at work. I saw one server counting his tips at the computer and talking to another server by the host stand instead of greeting new customers that were trying to figure out where to put their name down for a table. Its not hard to smile and say someone will be right with you. If I managed that place, 90% of the staff would be fired. I seriously never experienced worse customer service in a sit down restaurant. The food is good though. I would get it to go, but dont bother calling, because nobody will answer.
