Iama Critic Rating - Hiroki Japanese Buffet - 4 stars 2460 PGA Blvd, Palm Beach Gardens, FL. Overall: Some of the best sushi we ever had! But a few items are not so stellar, avoid them! But, ouch, the price is painful! The $18.95 Buffet: The quality of buffet items range wildly from fantastic to sad, with the sushi being the true highlight. The Hibachi was rather limited. All in all this buffet is a cant miss. The Sushi: Hirokis selection is extensive and fresh. They serve all sorts of textures, and colors, but one thing is missing and that is spice. So expect your sushi ah natural! And if you like caviar, Hiroki serves it in every color imaginable. Various Buffet Items: (ratings vary per item) 5 stars - baby octopus, best we ever had 5 stars - deep fried shrimp, the thin long straight ones 4 stars - fried spring rolls 4 stars - grilled veggies 2 stars - snow crab legs, were old and salty 2 stars - veggy tempura, simply aweful 4 stars - lemon meringue pie 4 stars - spanish mussels 3 stars - spare ribs To see 5 Star Restaurant Reviews entire pictorial review on Facebook. So, where to start, I typically frequent "Shinju" Japanese buffet in Boca Raton FL, but I decided to give Hiroki a shot tonight. We arrived around 8:30 ish, which is an hour prior to closing, there was barely any food left if any at all. The sushi and sashimi looked terrible, they had a rubbery texture like theyve been sitting out for days, the waitress was also very rude. The chefs were done cooking and cleaning up the kitchen with an hour left... The food selection was horrible, I decided to not get my hopes down and try the cooked food, also a let down. I feel like I wasnt welcome , they were just dragging along because it was close to closing time. I am only giving Hiroki one star because its impossible to give a rating of 0. If I had known before I wouldve never considered this place. Worst $40.00 Ive spent in a couple of years. I didnt want to make the drive to Shinjus in Boca, but now I learned and Ill gladly drive 40 minutes away just because they blow this place out of the water with overall selection, more variety of sushi/sashimi, cleaner, more welcoming, waitresses make you feel like youre a friend. If you get to read this DONT GO HERE, even if youre an hour away from Boca Raton youd be better off making that drive.

I was not comfortable eating the sushi sitting out on the buffet. Not knowing how long it was there made me hesitate. The Tuna was a pink color as opposed to red. I ate a couple pieces with no fish and they were less than average. The hot food was just okay. The pieces of chicken and pork were so small the meal was less than satisfying. I tried the hibachi. I requested meat and shrimp. He put on the grill. I told him i wanted the meat medium rare, he removed the piece of meat and put back with the raw meat then back on the grill 3 minutes later. When served, everything was overcooked. The place was pretty busy so perhaps i am too picky. This is only my opinion. The price is $16.95 for all you can eat. Kids under 10 are $8.95

Worst food ever....Do not know when the other 9 reviewing customers eat at this place but they were not there when I went there early afternoon. The Grill was closed down. The all you can eat crab legs is only available on weekends but you dont find that out till you get there. The food of the buffet was dried out and if it had any taste it was the taste of burned food.... The only good thing was the Sushi which is what my Husband eat so it was not a complete loss but if you dont like Sushi as I dont do not waste your time or money going to this excuse for a place to eat

Mediocre food. Not hot. Server greeted me 15 minutes into eating and asked if I wanted a drink. My water came 5 minutes later. Waited another 20 minutes for him to come back around for a refill of water. He dropped my check 15 minutes later after I had been sitting waiting since before he came for my refill. I put my card in and 20 minutes later he didnt show up so I brought it to the front. I told the guy up front what happened and explained how I was not happy with the service and his only response was swiping my card and giving me the receipt to sign. Ill never go back.

Great value. Nice selection of sushi and Japanese entrees as well as a few more typically Chinese dishes (crab Rangoon, sesame chicken which was very close to general Gaus chicken, etc), four soup selections. Deserts including 5-6 hand packed ice cream selections. Food is good...not great, but only $12 for lunch buffet which includes sushi is pretty great. My only concern is that the sushi was not cold enough for a raw product, but Im a bit of a sushi phobe.

This is the best value I know of when it comes to buffets with sushi. If youve ever been to Todais, this is at least as good for half the price. There is a respectable selection of maki-sushi, nigiri-sushi, plus salmon and tuna sashimi. Plus, theres plenty more for those of you who dont eat sushi. The buffet also includes ice cream for no additional fee.

When I first started coming here the food was made fresh...after the years the sushi is not made well and sometimes it becomes to tender and unveils its sushi form. The Asian gentlemen who cooks the Hibachi could be more friendlier with customers while receiving orders. Other than that the hibachi is the best there is to this place as well as the waiters.

I love sushi and Im very picky. BEST SUSHI for a buffet Im amazed. Excellent. Fresh, cold, flavorful. Not one thing I would not eat again. I tried one of everything. Spare ribs excellent. Soups excellent. Wasabi which is usually weak at best so good just a dab was more than enough but the sushi was so good it didnt need it.

I eat sushi often and can always find something on the menu at any place especially sushi but this place is gross. It smells for starters, and rule number one in sushi.. DONT eat stinky fish! I read reviews about how bad it was but didnt listen. Its also very expensive so take my advice dont waste your time.

Food was great. Sushi was nice and fresh and the restaurant is clean. I dont even like sushi like that, but I easily ate 12 pieces because of the quality. Great lunch spot. They could do a little better with the hibachi, but still great overall experience. Service was wonderful and attentive.

Sakura Sushi Buffet in Stuart, FL is much better IMO I think a lot of people also agree. The sushi lacked creativity, and taste. The hot bars werent worth the money, because they also lacked taste. The only thing that is exceptional is their service, very nice people.
