My family and I love this place and usually never have any problems. But on a recent visit, about 10 minutes into sitting down with our plates, the power went out. It was clear that the staff really had no idea how to handle this, but they did try their best to bring light into the building (lighting candles, opening blinds, etc.) They hung a few lanterns by the actual buffet so that patrons could continue to serve themselves, but the area was still generally pretty dark. When it appeared that the power wasnt coming back on any time soon, a lot of the patrons started to leave. Having been their with an elderly parent and a small child, trying to guide them and help them with their plates in the dark was not something that I wanted to do. I assumed (naively, perhaps) that the owners would at least take something off of our bill, seeing as how we only made one trip to the buffet. I was disappointed however, to see that we were charged full price. Perhaps if we would have complained instead of assuring them that it wasnt their fault, they would have appeased us. But that wasnt the case. We will probably return because we do enjoy the food. I was however, HIGHLY unhappy with having to pay full price for being in the place for about 15-20 minutes.

There was nothing there to recommend except perhaps the cleanliness, the white rice, the (American) string beans. (Whatever happened to Chinese string beans?) I took small portions of most things,to see which were worth taking more of. None were worth it.. Meat dishes felt as if they were made with gristle and scraps. Everything got overcooked in the steam tables, Very few dishes had much variety of vegetables. For example: no snow peas, no bok choy, no scallions. Something called "baked scallops" actually featured corn kernals in white sauce. .The "almond pudding" was some kind of white jello doused in almond extract. And the surly waitress allegedly responsible for my table didnt clear my plates, covered with rejects. The hostess asked me how everything was. My reply: "unforgettable."

So my wife and I come here every other weekend, They have Crab Legs on the Buffet Line. The food is usually pretty good. There has been a few times the meat was uncooked and turned my stomach. But today topped it off. Before my wife and I could even be seated they came over to us saying the crab Legs are no longer for a open buffet. But we watched multiple people come in and go get crabs. This happened just to my wife and I only dude to us usually each having 2 plates. Were usually never here longer than an hr to top it off. Terrible buisness and not customer friendly.

I remember food like this from my childhood: Thick noodle wonton soup in an unnatural yellow broth, Egg Foo Yung, Chow Mein and Chop Suey. The owners must have been living in a cave for the past few decades, for theres nothing like contemporary Szechuan, Hunan, or even Cantonese on the menu, only those awful "Chinese American" foods that we hoped would go away. On a more positive note, it was clean enough, the staff were competent, and the price is low. But frankly since I care about the quality of my food, even if it were free, I wouldnt go back.

I have been to this restaurant at least 10 times, the service has always been top notch, the workers are very friendly and also very clean. The food was very tasteful and if I found some thing that was out of place they jump to fix what ever is needed to make me happy. This is a nice place to take your friends and family, as for the guy on the bike, he is my friend Claud, and he was stuck with the bill the last time we were there and he has a bad taste of alligator arms when he had to pick up the bill.

We went with our 14 month old baby to this place on a weekend and our baby spilled some rice. We were suprised when the waitress came and demanded that we should say sorry (which we were about to say anyway). Did not even have the courtesy to convey this in a decent manner. Shocked with that kind of hospitality. Food is important but treating guests is what should of top priority. Have decided never ever to visit that place. Horrible, horrible, horrible.

I got food poisoning when I went here. DO NOT GO HERE. You may not regret it when you look at the place, but once you taste the food (oh Lord, have mercy on your soul), you will know that you would rather eat dirt (I am going to go eat dirt to get the taste of this food out of my mouth). After about an hour, my insides came out BOTH ENDS in truckloads. They proceeded to charge me $27.30!! God Bless America!! :)

Awfulness! Thats this Buffet in a Nutshell.. The only authentic Chinese food on the buffet is General Tsos chicken o and egg rolls.. It was horrible I will never eat here ever again. There was pizza yes pizza but no steamed white rice or brown rice. This place should be called Chinese owned Country Kitchen Buffet. Because remove the egg rolls and General Tsos... Thats what it is.

We used to go about every two weeks. The staff have been very friendly, recognize us and interact with our grandchildren. But some things have recently changed. I dont know if the owners changed but there is a different hostess. Some of the food is not replenished or kept as fresh as before. The past 2 times the crab legs ran out without replacement. Sadly, we wont be back.

My fiance and I go there as much as we can especially on Sat for their lunch special. It was like 6.99 but its like 7.50 now which you really cant find any where. I love pretty much everything there from the General Tsos, to the wings, to the doughnuts if they are fresh. I want to take everyone I know there. You really cant beat it for the price.
