Cuban food is relatively simple, and Cafe Caobana doesnt try to get fancy, which is a good thing. The ham croquettes were delicious, lightly fried outside with a ham-dominant filling, not cluttered by an excess of cheese, just the right amount of creaminess. The entrees were all perfect - shredded beef with onions that had great flavor. Grilled shrimp in garlic butter that were juicy and succulent. The rice and beans and tostones were also great, and the fried plantains were probably the best wed ever had. Simple food with great flavors is what Cuban food is all about, and Cafe Caobana does it right.

Had lunch here with my wife and really liked everything. I had a Cuban Sandwich, and she had the Media Noche. Both were every bit as good as we expected. We tried the home made shakes and both were great. Unfortunately, cant remember the flavors, but they were 2 of the tropical fruit flavors (not Mango or anything, didnt recognize the names). We picked up some pastries on the way out, and they were delicious.

Stopped in for Sunday brunch. The place is gorgeous—attention to detail on every level—the bakery items looked beautiful. We were excited to order, and to food delivered looked very good. But the sandwiches we ordered were dry, the tostones and omelettes were greasy, and the cafe con leche was bitter. Pleasant waitress, we might try bakery again, but probably wont come in to eat a meal.

Love it. Everything from the decor to the food to the service is exemplary. The bakery has so many delicious offerings, I had to try almost everything. Maria, who is the greatest baker ever, is most knowledgeable on all facets of Cuban cuisine. She is such a doll. She answered so many of my questions, and was happy to do so. I cant say enough about this restaurant. 10 stars.

This place may well be the best Cuban restaurant in Orlando. Bite for bite it has the best taste for the price. The portions are plentiful, but they may leave you with room to eat one of their house made desserts. All ingredients used are fresh and top notch. The staff is very friendly and the restaurant is decorated beautifully.

Ordered from cafe caobana for dinner. Paid 15 for a dinner plate... I expect un plato de comida... Not this sad misrepresentation of cuban food, or a decent serving of congri. Their saving grace is the vaca frita was actually pretty good... The congri was dry amd not fresh.. Gave me some crusty breads on the side. Not impressed.

The food was great. We had cuban sandwiches, absolutely the best. Atmosphere is calming, romantic and comfortable. The staff was friendly, attentive and efficient. Not a lot of English spoken but us two gringos got what we needed and wanted. Can not say enough about how nice these ppl are.

The food was so good. I am Cuban and this was as authentic as it gets and the mojito sauce is fantastic so I ask for some extra to put on my salad. The bakery sweets were perfect. So good. What a special place to go and enjoy good food, great company, and friendly service.

Not the greatest Cuban place for Sandwiches that are super dry!!! If you ask for anything extra be prepared for an extra over charge, plus tax. I never have a problem paying for extra things but I think its a little out of there.

Pleasantly surprised.. I was desperate for a double colada and found this in the area I was in. Coffee was really good and the sweets display is mesmerizing. I definitely will be stopping through here more often.
