I had an excellent experience here! I am allergic to shellfish so I usually dont go looking for seafood places but we were at CityWalk with family visiting from out of town and they truly wanted to eat here. From the outside host we got directed to the host stand by following the happy faces and we got sat within minutes. For a Monday night, they were steady. After we were assigned a table, we realized the server might have been double to triple seated since he was greeting multiple tables around us at the same time... nevertheless, when he approached our table he took the time to describe the menu and recommend drinks and apps, which we definitely took. His name was Bryan... he was on top of his game bringing waters, then our drinks! While the appetizers were cooking we gave him our order and we never saw him write anything down.... Yet everything came as requested. After all orders from his section were in, he came back for a movie trivia! Weve been to Bubba Gumps before and we never experienced such a fun trivia... we were all involved and trying to get it right... he was literally just missing a price for the winner behind curtain #2! We had ordered the onion strings and the shrimp bucket as appetizers, and the family loved it .... they were all over those shrimps. Again the server came to clear the table and minutes later we were getting our entrées! We order anything and everything from Scampi, lobster and fish, the shrimpers platter....and I ordered the fish and chips. Everything tasted amazing and the portions are decent! We were loving everything about our experience...but we definitely agreed that the service was way better than the food .... so BIG KUDDOS TO BRYAN! He was simply friendly, pleasant, joyful, and on the very top of his game. After our meal, he offered desserts but we were all full so he brought the check and told us to keep it so that we could get our souvenir cups at the gift shop! We honestly couldnt ask for more.... I was so pleased we gave him $10 over the 20% gratuity! He deserved it! Hes definitely a keeper.... go ask for him when you visit the Universal Orlando location!!!

Underwhelmed by the food and experience to be honest, its a shame... I feel as though I really wanted to enjoy it... But it just didnt deliver or live up to my expectations. I will start with the server. She was not as enthusiastic as a few of the others around us (who were engaging in conversation and giving trivia about forest gump etc), she just seemed like she didnt want to be there, took our order, asked if it was ok when we were practically done eating and then thanked us when we handed her money. It is fairly obviously all about fast turnover here - to a point where we didnt even feel welcomed, even though we paid for the overpriced / average food. Its more of a novelty than a good place to eat. The staff seemed rushed, another girl carrying a tray of drinks actually rushed past our table and dropped a full drink right on our table which drenched the seat I was on and just about got me too. We had a laugh with her about it, I feel a free drink or something would have been a kind gesture though (preferably not thrown over me). We had a shrimp bucket to start, the garlic ones just tasted bland with a hint of salt, the Cajun ones were ok. Had the Jambalaya main - very average meal that lacked flavour. I think the chefs need to be introduced to salt and pepper. I can honestly say I have had better microwaveable Jambalayas for a fraction of the price. My wife had the coconut shrimps, they were actually quite nice and went well with the marmalade dip. Very much doubt we would go again, overpriced, over rated. As a foreigner who has spent a lot of time working as a chef, including high volume and fast turnover restaurants - Im well aware that the location of this place means that that they need to charge more, Im sure the rent for the unit is very high... but give us something good for our $100.

My mom and uncle are visiting from Chicago. As Florida residents ourselves, we ended our Universal day at Gumps. My mother ordered shrimp scampi, with half the shrimp in the dish to be fried. Our server said ok. Server brings out all fried shrimp and no scampi shrimp. We told him we wanted 1/2 scampi, 1/2 fried. After 3 attempts of misunderstanding, plates of shrimp that we did not want, a manager came over. The manager, agreeing with server about our request, tells us we cannot order a dish that way and that what we asked for is so odd in which how can a restaurant honor such a request? The server also walked off to snicker about what a pain our table was being. After my husband, the third person to explain to the manager what it is we wanted, the manager had an aha moment and und r stood our request. Manager orders us the actual scampi shrimp and comes over to tell us how we should order the food next time and removed the item from the bill. We explained maybe your server shouldnt honor such a request, but we were the ones who didnt get it. As a business owner myself, my husband and entire family were in awe over the cold and arrogant behavior by these two men. A little kindness goes so far, but these two were anything but in making us feel understood. We spent over $200 with a party of seven and not a single apology was laid out. I will be writing corporate.

The best sea foof Orlando ! Estive hospedado no Hotel Holiday of Across é perto para caminhar. Outra dica se quiser jantar ao sair dos parques Universal ou Island, faça uma reserva antes a demora pir lugares e certamente o grupo estará cansados do dia dos parques.

We missed Bubba Gump Shrimp last time we were here, due to a jam packed schedule but as a massive Forrest Gump fan, I wasnt missing out again. We went on a Friday and it was relatively busy, waited around 20 minutes for a table which flew by looking at the merchandise in the souvenir shop. Our waitress was lovely and very funny, though I feel bad for not remembering her name. We were exhausted from travelling over from the UK that day and she looked after us very well. The atmosphere is great, they have FG memorabilia all over the walls and the movie is on a constant loop on TVs around the restaurant. The food was fantastic, I had Lt. Dans Surf & Turf which was ribs and shrimp and the portion was huge, my wife had a mac and cheese starter as her main and couldnt finish, it was that big. Price was very reasonable for what we got, had to get a cab back to the hotel we were that full. I do have one minor complaint, there was some confusion about it being my birthday and even though I protested that it wasnt I still had to shake my rump to the full birthday song stood up in the middle of a packed Friday night crowd. I am of course joking about the complaint, my wife found it very funny and so did I once the blood left my bright red face.
