I have never written a review before for anything no less a place to eat. This is because everyone has an off day. However I felt compelled to do so today after the most bizarre and frustrating experience. I found this place on line when looking for a good hamburger place that was not fast food related. It looked terrific and I was eager to try it. I offered to take two of my coworkers for lunch as a small reward after a great job they have been doing. We got there at 2 after the lunch rush. There were people at 3 tables and nobody else was there except for a waitress. After sitting for 15 minutes we were given menus and we placed a drink order. For some reason it took 20 minutes to get 2 cans of coke and a club soda, which came with a lemon after asking for a lime. We placed our order from the menu, nothing special or out of the ordinary, no changes and no substitutions. After waiting an additional 45 minutes we still were not served our food. I spoke with the waitress and advised we had to get back to work, how much longer. She said she would check and let us know. She came back 10 minutes later and told us it would be another 5 minutes, Keep in mind there was just us and 3 other tables with no more than 3 people at each of them. When I asked what was taking so long the waitress said she wished she knew. After another 10 minutes went by, we still were not served our food. We politely told the waitress we could not wait anymore and left. We offered to pay for the 2 cans of soda and club soda but the waitress apologized and would not accept payment. It is uncanny how a "burger Joint" cannot make a chicken sandwich and burger within an hour and half. After close to an hour and half and nothing served and already late to get back to work we left without lunch. There are bad days and then there are disasters. This was the latter. The only reason I gave it one star is because I don’t think I could leave less than that.

I wanted to eat here again before posting my review. I ordered the Truffle burger without a bun (over salad) and it was very good. My boys had the kids burger and the cheese sandwich and loved it. They were happy to come back. When it arrived I was surprised there werent any french fries. The truffle fries were the best part of my last visit and I was looking forward to them again. If you get your burger without the bun, you are also giving up your fries as well. Luckily I had my kids to steal from! The beer selection changes often and I was very happy to see three - five dark beers on tap. Two weeks ago, there were none or the waitress didnt know what the draft beer selection was? This time there was a draft beer menu. I was even happier to see there was a $2 credit on my beer for happy hour. The problem is that I didnt know it was happy hour. I would have ordered a 2nd if I did! So after the 2nd trip I would defiantly feel better about recommending this place to friends and family. My sons and I were the only ones in the restaurant so 25 minutes to get our three burgers seems long, but I am not in in the business. I dont know how long this restaurant has been in business, but they are still shaking the bugs out. My first visit two weeks ago on a Saturday was a disaster. There was a table of 12 burgers ahead of us. It took 30 minutes to get out an appetizer of 3 varieties of french fries. It was over 60 minutes before we got our 4 burgers. The food is creative and delicious, the wait time and the service kills all the joy of dining here. You cant have a high end burger bar with college dive bar service. The food is good enough to bring me back, but only when Im in the area. And no wifi... :(

2ND time here. Ordered the buffalo chicken sliders with sweet potato fries (they come with whipped cream(not my fav.. ) ) nonetheless, the sliders are delicious and so are the fries. Last time we ordered the 109 signature burger (shared with my significant other) sooooo good. Love the food. But the service is aight. If youre gonna have a bite to eat make sure no one has made a huge order to go and that there arent more than 7 tables taken. once the food comes out I promise youll be in heaven ( oh and theres this pizza dip that is extremely loaded with cream cheese, wayyyy to much cream cheese. The only thing Ive eaten that wasnt good at all) [great selection of beer]

The burgers here werent the best burgers Ive tried, but they were pretty delicious and at a decent price. I would come back here again, except for one vital factor - the wait time. As a student of FIU, I wanted to go to a good place that was nearby so that I could return to FIU quickly. This place did not provide quick service at all. I waited about half an hour just to order, and then about an hour more for the food to get served to my table. It wouldve been more reasonable if the place was busy, but my table was the only one there! All in all, the food is not worth the excessive wait time.

Food takes forever to come out and they dont know how to make rare burgers and over cooks the well done. Wings arent good either. Too overpriced for subpar food. Went here 3 times to see if food would change, bad all 3 times. Update: just came for a 4th time cuz its the only food joint close to 109tower. Asked the waiter 3 times in 30 minutes for Lemon for my water. Service still sucks. The big tenders and fries I ordered (to try something different) fries were cold, breading on chicken tenders were over seasoned and flavorless. Just spoke with the manager about this place.

Ive been there enough times to be able to try almost all of the menu. Never disapointed. All of the burgers are fantastic, desserts are out of the chain and the beer selection is great. Always a pleasant experience. Try the MacAddict, the Double OO or the new Colombian one....well, try all of them. For me is always a big trouble to decide which one to eat, all are GREAT. Service is nice always and Chef Blanco takes time to pass by and say hello. Highly recomended.

I had an excellent custom burger on March 4. The beef was tasty and fresh, the chefs ketchup had the tang of BBQ sauce, and the hand-cut french fries were crisp. There are many good toppings; I had spring mix lettuce, Nico cheese and the chefs pink sauce on my burger. Portions are large, especially the mac-and-cheese burger.

I had the signature burger and it really didnt impress me at all. Its too big, flavorless and you cant eat it like a burger, you have to eat it in layers. The Mac and cheese patty (flavorless). If you want Mac and cheese go to "sweet dogs". And last but not least, you cant build your own burger. Really????
