We travel for work, so every few months, its a new town. We landed in Lake City on this one. Randomly found this little joint and boy oh boy. We were welcomed with open arms and fed well. Dont let the strip mall facade fool you, while I love me a good dive bar, this place cooks. The manager, whom is part of the family that owns the joint, has a real talent with coming up with creative food. Totally unexpected. His features are amazing. On to the to the regular menu. From the conch fritters(packed with conch) to the wings, to the humongous Lunker burger, the regular menu sings with pub grub classics. Dont get me started on the beer...ok Ill start on the beer. PC is a certified beer nerd(huge guy so dont tell him I called him a nerd) as well as a talented chef. They do some really interesting beer releases from local and niche craft breweries and they know their stuff. I typically hesitate to give a five, but this place is a hidden gem that is worth the slight jaunt off of the freeway. Go see PC and ask him about beer...if you have an hour or so.

My favourite local with four other family members on vacation from the U K along with other family living in Lake City, we dined here on several occasion as the food and service here is of a high standard. James the owner of the establishment was one of the nicest guys you could meet, he treated us like friends he had know for years, trying testing him to see if he knows how to make a great cocktail and boy he really does, he also knows a thing or three about English beers.

Phish Heads is unique because it combines the Relaxing atmosphere of a Seafood Restaurant with the Dinner Party aspects of a Sports Bar. Great Menu selection and My recommendations are the Burger, Catphish, or the Wings/Boneless Bites. The sides (Phries, O-rings, etc...) are Great. However, the only suggestion I have is that there should be a BBQ flavor the Wings/Boneless Bites. As always, the Staff is almost like Family and the Sweet Tea is Excellent.

You need to have cash only if you go to this place there credit cards I tried 5 credit cards then they didnt work and then they treated me like a prisoner wouldnt let me leave to go to an ATM to get money if you dont have cash dont come to this place there is no WiFi and there is no cell service inside the building no reception so you cant call to see whats wrong with you card and their machine doesnt work half the time

Service terrible. Bill screwed up in so many ways I cant even fit them all in here. I was charged $5 for sweet potato fries and it said it was 2.50 on menu. My soup price didnt match menu either . It was on my buddies ticket . We all just paid our bills to get out of there because it was such a hassle . Then just settled up between our selves. I would put 0 stars if that was an option.

What can one say.....Great place to eat. They have a good beer selection. (Changes out every week I think it is.) Full Bar. Service is very good. If the owner Phillip is there you might even talk him into cooking up some eggs and bacon for you. (I do miss the Sunday Brunch they had at one time.) Family owned. A little hard to find if you are not from here but well worth finding.

This is one of my favorite local places in Lake City. One of the best rotating craft beer selections in town, with something great to try for almost every taste. The food is prepared well, with great weekend specials to try before theyre gone. Even on busier nights the staff does a good job at keeping up with everything, and the management is very customer friendly.

This is the first time ever being disappointed going to Phish Heads.....The chicken wings werent fully cooked because some where bigger than others.....Alan ordered a Blondy which was cold so I said something so they took the ice cream off & put it in the microwave & brought it back after I asked for a new Blondy. I was just speechless on this period :(

Server was great. Hostess was slow, had to wait a few minutes for anyone to acknowledge that we were even waiting to be seated which was odd as they werent slammed. French Onion soup was awesome, their ranch dressing is watery and flavorless and my daughters burger was very raw. I left pretty unipressed, but I would return for the soup.

I was looking for a good local fish restaurant that was not a chain. This appeared to be it. Not worth it. Most everything is fried and the service was mediocre. Choice was limited in meals and portions were small. Go to red lobster down the road instead.

A local bar/pub serving typical bar type food with some American fare offerings. The wings and quesadilla were good, but not great, and comparable to other restaurants in the area. Their fried fish seems to be a favorite with the locals.

My crab cake was raw in the middle. I explained that to my waitress and no offer to fix it or take it off the ticket. The salad we we served had black lettuce. Was not impressed.

Ate there friday evening with friends. The conch fritters were delicious. My Philly cheese steak was also tasty. Overall, we were happy with all the entrees and appetizers.

Amazing food! The prime rib...grouben (Grouper Ruben)...sweet potato fries with this yummy dipping sauce was just amazing. The Great staff were all on it. Recommend highly!

They used to have amazing hot wings. Now they just plain suck!!! Not worth 16 bucks. The sauce is basically like salsa not hot wing sauce. And doesnt taste good.

I thought the bone in catfish was ok. My waitress brought me fries instead of cheese grits. She didnt seem to know too much about beer either.
