My wife and I frequent the Lake City store on average, every other week. Last night August 30th, we walked into a pig sty. I understand they cant keep help but this was disgusting. After 15 minutes, the waitress came to ask if she could get us something and I told her that she could start by cleaning our table. She left and totally ignored us. The cook came after another 15 minutes and asked what she could get us to drink. While waiting for our drinks, a customer in a filthy white tank top undershirt and filthy blue jean shorts was cleaning tables and pocketing the tips. He was going in the kitchen area and serving himself drinks. Seriously? What kind of restaurant allows this? After more than an hour. Our meals came out and when I dug in for my first bite, I had a fork full of food and part of a napkin. God knows what else could have been in it. My wife having ordered the same as me, lost her appetite as did I. The supervisor felt it was appropriate to charge us for my wifes meal. I said, I dont think so. I paid for the drinks in which we consumed I did not pay for what we didnt consume. After over one year of going there, we will never return. Truckers who said that they pass by there on a regular basis, actually walked out because they were tired of having to wait so long for their meals and paid for their beverages as well. Originally I gave a one star rating. Who wouldnt after the experience? But since thst post and after six months of not going here, we chose to give them another chance. OUTSTANDING!! My wife Possum and I go here after midnight one to two nights a week. Its a 30 mile trip. We could go to Stake but then we wouldnt have the pleasure of having Harold as our cook. We call in advance to make sure that Harold is cooking. He has a very positive personality and attitude which flows over to his cooking ability. He is in my opinion, the best cook Huddle House has had yet and should consider doing whatever it takes to keep him if a situation were to arise in the future that would make him want to quit. Harold wont only prepare a wonderful meal, he actually serves it to your table. Everybody come visit. Thanks Harold and keep up the good work. So after going back for a while, a waitress named Naomi that appeared to be methed up, did absolutely nothing while the waitress Ashlyn did all of the work in a full house. Naomis husband Steve came in and cleaned the entire restaurant. He doesnt work there.I reported this to the general manager and provided video. They since have terminated Harold and kept Naomi the alleged recovering meth addict. Casey is now the cook and there was so much oil in the bottom of our fried food. The jalapeno poppers and mozzarella sticks or so overcooked that the cheese disintegrated. We actually got sick. We decided to try one more time. Casey again overcooked our jalapeno poppers and mozzarella sticks and the cheese once again was disintegrated. It took the waitress Brittany to cook it right. That is sad. We can no longer subject ourselves to this goodbyes are forever.

Well, the food was OK, The unprofessional atmosphere of the employees is the reason for the two dtars. The waitress and the cook were yelling a conversation across the dining room, something about a missing box of beef patties. Heard "those bastards", and other inappropriate language coming from the kitchen. NOT a peaceful atmosphere at all to have a meal in. I finished my burger, throughout the rukus, never saw the waitress again, then had to get up and ask for more tea, got it quickly and when fished with the tea, had to ask for the check. My waitress was showing pictures to s friend while I checked out. Needless to say, I will avoid this Huddle House.

Well prepared meal, served fast. Reasonable prices. Friendly staff. Except for tonight... what a disaster ! Both our meals came piece by piece The hashbrowns came first, followed a few minutes later by undercooked eggs, then a few minutes later came the bacon, then the grits, and finally as we were almost done eating... the toast finally arrived !! One meal was missing an egg, but it sure showed up on the bill ! It wasnt busy tonight, the waitress said it was this cooks first night... it should be her last !! My 5 star rating is going down to 2... very poor meal, prepared poorly, with very poor service and even poorer excuses !!

I was hesitant to go after I started reading one review but when I got to the end, I decided to give it a try. It was a little after 10:00 pm. I went because of what the review said about that cook named Harold. Im glad I did go. The Restaurant was spotless. Background music wasnt loud. The place was a little busy but while a young waitress named Brittany was waiting on so many customers, Harold took my order and started cooking it. Brittany came and wrote what I had a little later. Harold and Brittany are a team that other restaurants only dream of having. The food and atmosphere was very enjoyable.

Its changed alot from my last visit, fresh oil for the fries, the food is great and doesnt all taste the same, the floors are clean along with the air vents in the ceiling, even under the tables have been clean including in the corners. Service was excellent! If you left because of the bad food and dirt restaurant I hope you give this place another try. They have really cleaned it up. Ill be back for sure! Keep up the good work.

Terrible service. Waited an hour for 2 kids waffles and 2 omelets. Only 2 people working, 1 cook and 1 server. The cook was taking orders in his dirty apron as well as bringing out food. Never had a refill on drinks (after waiting ten minutes to get them in the first place). One of the worst dining experiences in my life. I wish I could give them 0 stars. Will not be going back there again.

My friends and I visited lake City for the Itchetucknee springs recently and this place was one of the most pleasant experiences from the trip. We received lovely service from an older woman whos name escapes me. She was very friendly and genuinely good fun and wonderful energy that we did not expect arriving at maybe four in the morning.

The service was lame and so was the food! My food was cold when I received it. The cook (male) and the waitress would go outside for a smoke break (as they were the only two working) and would come back inside and not even wash their hands. Was absolutely disgusted! You can do a lot better than this place.

Delicious food! Everyone received exactly what they wanted the way they wanted it! Our waitress was spectacular, very attentive and nice! It may seem like a hole in the wall type of the place but dont let looks fool you its one of this areas hidden gems!

I always enjoy eating in huddle house. This one was clean and service was good. The food was hot, we both had hamburger steak. I had mashed potatoes and okra and my husband had it with fries and salad. It was really nice portions. Well worth stopping at.
