I rarely start a review talking about the service in an establishment, but this time I just have to. My party of 8 came in Saturday night around 7:30 and the place was packed, at least a 45 min wait, which is to be expected. Anyway, we decided to eat upstairs, the host/rood runner (pigtails and ball cap) was amazing. She was so nice and friendly even though the place was slammed. Not to mention she probably went up and down two flights of stairs, carrying food, 20 times an hour with a smile on her face EVERY time. Next our server Cameron. He was outstanding! Funny, friendly, accommodating. All the little things were remembered, he even tried to remediate the fact that the kitchen had sent the wrong sides with my husband’s special, the blackened red fish. It was supposed to come with steamed veggies and black beans & rice, but they were out of veggies so they gave him the backed potato, but sent hush puppies instead of the rice. He told us we would bring the other side, but honestly my husband preferred what was sent instead. LOL! So it really worked out well. I might have given this place 4 if based on food and price point, but the service made this place a 5. The price point was extremely high for a place that uses paper napkins and plastic utensils and plates. I’ve worked in Mitchell’s Fish Market and another seafood grill in Pittsburgh, both had linens, real plates, metal shell bowls, butter warmers at the table for crab legs and lobsters, tableside wine service, etc. Anyway the price point was similar to one of those places. Entrees (not sandwiches) were around $20 and up. The excellent red fish special my husband got was $23, I believe. The other great items ordered were, blackened mahi-mahi, ahi tuna, fried shrimp, raw oysters, and fried gator tail. All great! But pretty basic, which is not a bad thing. It let the fish stand out more. The side salads were simple either a garden (green leaf lettuce, tomatoes, and onion) or a tossed caeser, baked potatoes came with butter and sour cream. Hush puppies were good. Though I thought it was a little silly that it would be an additional dollar to switch a side, a dollar each side. So if you wanted to change both sides it would be an additional $2. I feel like sides should always be up for switching, at least among the basic ones, like corn on the cob instead of hush puppies. Overall, we had a great time. The last thing I will say is that I was VERY pleased with the beer selection. Especially the draft beer. 3 of my favorites Yuengling, Shock Top, and Leinenkugel’s Summer Shandy, and they only had maybe 5 taps!

TOURIST TRAP! Read our review on Trip Advisor. Sad little wanna be seafood shack at fine dining dinner prices!!We forgot about this place and decided to revisit. We chose to eat outside and when our food arrived so did the flies! You have to put this place in perspective, they charge fine dining prices AND DO NOT DELIVER FINE DINING! Its a seafood shack type of place. I recommend they stick to lunch. I had my heart set on Oysters, not at $15 a dozen. We ordered wings and gator tail to start, my husband said the wings we very good. And my gator tail was very CHEWY! Seared Diver Scallops were tasty, PORTION TOO SMALL for the price, 6 for $29 when you take into account the SAD SIDES they served. The Grouper was CUT in a slice fashion and way TOO THIN for an 8 oz piece (in my opinion it was less than 8oz.), I had mine grilled, a little over cooked due to how thin it was sliced. I would recommend they cut it properly so that it is a thick cut, which is they way grouper is served. This slice fashion really stuns me, I have never seen Grouper sliced thin! Were talking a $22 Dinner, not a sandwich! Someone needs to learn to cut fillets! No issue with the baked potatoes. The Hush Puppies Dry, tasteless and are nothing to brag about. The garden salad was a big disappointment, some packaged shredded cheese with a few sad tomatoes a slice of onion on a tiny bowl of greens. Blue Cheese dressing, a low end brand. All in All I feel like its a TOURIST TRAP! Definitely not where locals are dining for Dinner. 2 Appetizers, 2 Dinners and 4 Beers with tip $115 plus change!! OVER PRICED!! Shocked us! We could have spent less and ate better on china with silverware at the other end of the beach! Without the flies!! Your number one recommendation is to tell the server and send it back ! WHY CANT YOU GET IT RIGHT THE FIRST TIME? In fact I do not believe you actually served me the Grouper I ordered and paid for! Stick to what you know, lunch!

We were very excited to try this place. When we first walked in the was a very pleasant fella behind the fish market counter. We overheard him helping another customer with some cooking techniques for the fish she just bought. We wandered into the down stairs dining area and the server greeted us. We asked if upstairs had dining and she said yes and told us if it was too cold we could come back down and she would take care of us. So we went upstairs to the open air seating area. It was a little chilly but they have heaters. We sat at the bar. The bartender greeted us and I asked if they have any ipa beer in bottles or draft. He had no idea and asked another server. They did not so I just got a water. And we waited. And waited. And he never came back. But another lady did. And instead of greeting us, she said, "do you wanna order?" We do not eat dairy or meat, only fish. So we asked if their breading has any dairy (we do eat egg) and she said, "Im pretty sure it has something in it".....what?! You have no idea? You are not even going to ask? You do not care about me one bit do you? Ok. So we left. What a shame. The staff downstairs seemed so kind and courteous. Who are people upstairs? Hay management, Im a restaurant manager, your staff upstairs is running your customers off.

Relaxed, casual, delicious! Our server, Kim, greeted us instantly. We placed our drink orders and also ordered the fried pickles which came promptly out after our teas. They were the most delicious fried pickles I have ever had. Just as we finished the pickles, our baskets arrived. I ordered shrimp, he got a combo of shrimp and Gator tail. The baskets were overflowing with seasoned fries and golden fried shrimp. I have never gotten fried shrimp that were not overly breaded and these were impeccable! Golden to a crisp, but very very lightly breaded. *Drool* They were so good with the Cajun ranch but hardly needed it as they were flavorful and perfectly cooked, but that ranch was delicious. As my fiance began to get to full to finish, I decided to make a life changing choice- I tried the Gator tail. Holy wow! I loved it. Also cooked and seasoned to perfection, it changed my view forever from "eww Gator tail?" To "oooooh, Gator tail!" We hardly touched the plastic forks that are so heavily frowned upon in the other reviews on here, but I did use it for the Cole slaw, which was fresh, light, and yummy. The plastic forks withstood this test just fine. ;) Thank you Kim for a very pleasant experience this afternoon. We will definitely be back soon!
