GHOST ANT ISSUES! I came to this restaurant once before and it was okay.. It could have used a little improvement. At the time I ordered a club sandwich and onion rings. It was decent. The lunch meat didnt seem that great of quality but not bad. I wanted to bring my husband here and give it a SHOT again. We ordered our food and the only thing that I was able to try before asking for a refund were the home fries.. NOT impressed! They tasted as if they were cooked the night before and thrown in the microwave before being served to me. Parts were mush while another part of the potato were hard. The seasoning needs improvement as well. They were not served even close to warm. I was reaching for the ketchup when I noticed the ketchup bottle was unclean and had a large fruit fly on it. I shooed it away then noticed two more fruit flies flying around me.. Not even 2 seconds later I noticed little bugs crawling all over the table.. I started to look more when I noticed literally hundreds of ghost ants trailing along the wooden wall panels horizontally down to the front door and going back down towards the end of the restaurant (didnt follow them further than that) I instantly lost my appetite and so did my husband. He didnt even have a chance to take one bite. I informed my server of the issue and she instantly drew the conclusion that we were not from Florida. She stated that they are only sugar ants and they mean no harm. She reassured me that my food would be fine and the ants were not in my food. I informed the server we would not be eating our food. She brought the issue up to the owner. The owner was sitting in the restaurant literally 4 steps away and she didnt even make an effort to stop by our table and talk to us. (please note that there were only 2 other tables being occupied at this time) I just wanted to say I understand that Florida has issues with ants but this is a restaurant and not a home. You have to ensure health and safety of the community when you have a restaurant. If you have a pest issue, then call pest control! You have to do everything possible to keep your business clean and sanitary!

First, Id like to mention that I had no idea this place was so popular. We had a brief wait before being seated. It wasnt an issue at all. I didnt mind waiting the 5 or 10 minutes and the food and service were well worth the wait. Once you get inside there is a lot of bright, playful art everywhere. Its just a very quaint, tiny breakfast place. For me, its hard to draw the line between tiny or quaint, which is tiny and charming. So, this place is definitely quaint. I had Eggs benedict with Salmon and home fries - delicious. I was worried that it wouldnt be enough, I also had some french toast. The french toast was completely unnecessary, I was full after the Eggs Benedict and home fries, the french toast was decadent though. My girlfriend had Eggs Benedict classically and she loved it as well. Our friend Jordan had the Greek Scrambler with rye toast and a fruit cup, she was also pleased. Besides the food being excellent, our server was sweet and all about her job, but was still able to give me a great recommendation when I asked for her advice. The only thing I wish was that the Scrambled Egg Cafe had more seating, but I also understand the practicality of a small breakfast and brunch place. So all in all, if youre looking for a quaint, well serviced, colorful, and happy breakfast spot - The Scrambled Egg Café is definitely for you. Delightful, delicious, delectable, and undeniably charming. Also, its right by A1A which is near the beach! So if youre on the beach after watching a sunrise, get some coffee and a hot breakfast here!

To start, this place is small. Yes, it could be called cozy, but one waits outside to be seated. Thankfully it was overcast and windy, or wed have been seated after becoming a sweaty mess. They have no iced coffee. Just hot coffee poured over ice. With the commonness of iced coffee now, even cold brewed coffee, they should not look at you like you asked for something unheard of when you dont want just diluted hot coffee. I opted for the hot coffee. Both people with me felt it was just so so - it was weak and tasted burnt. I got iced tea. It was weak. The menu looks good. And the food was good. I ordered a scramble, The Works, but without cheese. The artichoke Scramble got high marks. The hash browns were done well. The grits were quite good and came already buttered. My scramble was good, but it was full of cheese. As it was all in the center, I had not realised it immediately. As the cheese spilled out, I called the waitress over. She had written down no cheese, and apologised. She asked me if I wanted it redone or wanted anything else, but by the time it was replaced, the rest of us would be done eating. So I asked for just a scrambled egg and hash browns. They were out quickly and were ok. It was nice, and proper, that my meal was deducted from the bill. However, it was not the experience, not the meal, I was hoping for.

Really good mom n pop place with great food and a nice, uplifting, Christian vibe. They dont push scripture on you in conversation luckily but it is featured on the menu and walls. I was glad to see a place willing to stand up for their values in a social climate that doesnt always treat people of strong faith very nicely. My parents in law really loved the place too, and its very convenient walking distance across the parking lot from Lowes which was my actual destination that day. Mother in law was impressed with how good her burger was, and she is really critical of restaurants because she also owns one- she had not one single complaint that day. Everyone else had breakfast foods. Very fresh and tasty and cooked perfect.

On vacation with two hungry children and always on a budget...Scrambled Eggs Cafe is absolutely amazing and very accomodating. Able to make adjustments for dietary needs with no question. Quick service with a smile. And the food...very fresh and hot when it hit the table. The kids couldnt even finished the abundance delivered, I cleared my plate fully satisfied yet wanting more because it is that good. Will definitely return next time in town.

Good food but the waitress was trying to rush us out. I was still eating, toast in hand, and she asked me if I was still working on my meal. Omelettes were very fluffy and puffed out with the texture of a sponge, not quite how I enjoy an omlet. Kind of fast food style, not real home cooked breakfast. Very loud and the tables were way too close. Ive been there 3 times and this time was not the best.

Nice people. Quick service, but terrible coffee. Food was OK. I had the single stack which is 1 egg, 1 pancake or 1 slice of french toast and 1 bacon strip or sausage link. Cost = $5.95 coffee not included. My girlfriend got the coffee and she couldnt even drink half of it. He food wasnt that bad. Home fries were over seasoned and overcooked. All in all it was OK. Wouldnt go back though.
