My wife and I were visiting from California. If not for the online reviews, we would never have walked into this place, and if we accidentally stumbles into it we probably would have walked out after seeing the almost lunch counter decor. Glad we read about it first, because it was amazing! The owner stopped to tell us about every item that interested us, and unable to decide, we ordered a fantastic (and meal sized) empanada ($3), the conch fritters, jerked tofu and rastaman soup. The first two came on a bed of amazing spicy slaw. The latter came with either rice and peas or polenta. He scooped a little sample of the fantastic polenta onto our plate (made with cocunut milk!) but on a recommendation we went with the rice and peas, which made a great combination. All in all it was a great meal at a great price.

Amazing food! As a family we had the goat, fried pork, oxtail, empanadas, festivals, spicy wings and the potatoe pudding. It was all fantastic. We had the polenta, rice and beans and the plantains and this was all fantastic. Best festivals I have ever had and the goat was so succulent. I grew up around Jamaican food and this was hands down the best ever. The Haitian Jamaican flavours are truly spectacular. I should also mention JP is an amazing host who takes his time to make you feel at home and goes trough the menu with you to answer any questions you may have. You must check this out!

My husband and my youngest went there with me for lunch last Monday, we like to explore and try new places, this was an amazing finding. Its a litter place, but the food is outstanding and the service is great, You should try the chicken soup, the Jamaican Curry Goat, the jerk chicken and the maracuya key lime pie. Nothing fancy, nothing expensive and all we try really test great. The owner is very friendly and you clearly can tell he love what he does.

Just ordered from here for the first time, spent 47$ on good tasting food but I ordered 2 curry chicken and 1 curry goat. The meat they gave us was not chicken at all. Face it we all know what a chicken bone looks like. Extremely disappointed and will Never eat here again!!! No better then serving cats, dogs, or rats if you cant count on the product your eating. Health department needs a call!!!!

There wasnt anything I didnt like about this place. Oh okay, maybe except that I wasnt sure where to park. JP took the time to go over the menu, ingredients, and how things were made. I picked conch fritters and beef legume because of his recommendation. Exquisite. Relaxing chill music makes you feel like you just might be on the island. Will come back.

We stopped in here on our way from Key Largo to Miami. Hands down the best food weve had on this trip. Great vegetarian selection. We got the veggie empanadas and the jerk tofu with rice and beans. Both were so delicious! Dont let the simple look of this restaurant deceive you. The food is outstanding and the service is friendly and personal.

I went in after reading wonderful reviews however when I got there it took a while for a lady hiding behind boxes of beverages to greet me. She didnt even get up from where she was tucked away, I had to walk over to the corner to speak with her to avoid yelling across the room at her to give my order. Their customer service needs major work.

This place is like walking into a restaurant in the island. All the workers are nice and greet you as soon as you walk in. And the food is beyond delicious the rice and the jerk chicken to die for. The curry tofu and jerk tofu is great they have excellent vegan options here.

My wife and I had dinner here on a whim while visiting the area - best culinary decision I have made in Florida. The owner was exceptionally nice and the food, classic Caribbean style, was excellent. Do yourself a favor and try the place out.

Had the yucca plantain napolean and fresh made juice, YUM! Being a new vegan, they had quite a few options to choose from! I was full from my "appetizer" so I took my curried lentils and polenta along for dinner tonight! Ill be back!

Awesome place with great eats. Large portions. Had too much food but it was worth it. JP was a great host and will point you in the right direction on what is fresh and hot. Most locals stopped by and took 3 or more plates to go.
