Always hit or miss when ordering here. The special fried rice is lacking in everything but yellowed rice so I pay extra for more shrimp and ham. Today, I paid extra but there was no evidence they added anything more than the usual 2 or 3 shrimp and meager sampling of ham. The steamed dumplings were good but they didnt close the sauce cup so it spilled in the bag on the drive home. The crab rangoon was sent out without the sweet, red sauce. And finally, no soy or duck sauce was put in the bag. This was my first order at China Yan in well over six months. I think Im done with them now.

Ordered from here 2x now and the first time was terrible not real chinese food by a long shot and this time it took over an hour for delivary and they forgot half the order the driver spoke NO english so had to call the restraunt and was told i had to wait till the driver got back. The driver said he brought all of the order (flat out lie) and when the owner asked if we wanted the driver to come back out we could hear the driver in the back ground calling us crazy and just slandering us in general (nothing was said or done to him for blatent disrespect) this place deserves a -5 stars

Where do i start?? The food DISGUSTING. the special fried rice was yellow rice !! Taste nothing like chinese food. The orange chicken was filled with fat and bone. I had to spit out like 4 pieces. Never again. And not to mention.... The girl answering phones? OMG horrible service. She said 3 words to me. I basically spoke the whole time. She sounded annoyed and bored. I never write reviews. But i had to warn you!!

We always order carry out, the actual place is small. There are only a few tables to eat at (3-4 tables, 4 chairs each table (estimated)). The staff at the counter speaks Spanish so it is not as hard to understand. The food is good, I really like the taste of the food. The price is fair and the portions are fair as well. Overall I like this place because of the taste of the food.

This place was horrible not real Chinese food at all! No soy or duck sauce for egg rolls and the sweet and sour chicken was absolutely horrible the beef and broccoli was tough and so bad, fried rice with pork, the pork was so tough you could not even eat it. Do not eat or order anything from here!!! We wasted our money and will not be going back!!!

To Be honest I have been to many Chinese restaurants and my Grandfather owned one in New York. This restaurant is not the best in Miami but you do get your moneys worth. Certain things that i love on this menu are the fried pork dumplings, House Special Fried Rice, the Lo mien , and the Orange Beef (Order it Extra Spicy).

We order all the time, and never had a problem. Tonight the girl taking our order messed up and we waited 30 mins to get only half out order, when I called she argued with me saying I was wrong. Absolute crap customer service. Well never again so dont waste your time here

So I buy $50 worth of food and end up finding a freaking bug in my food and all the restaurant wants to return me is $10 ??. After 30 mins of arguing with the owner she finally agrees to give me a full refund. Such a nasty place with a horrible customer service.

At one point i used to enjoy their food until there was a partial screw in my egg roll. When i called about my take out order there was only an offer for a new egg roll . No apology just "Do you want another one?" Bad experience suffice it to say.

First time I tried this place yesterday(4/9/16) and its NOT authentic Chinese food!! Its so disgusting that half into the quart of special fried rice, I found a roach in the box!!! NEVER AGAIN!!!

Never a problem here. I dont prefer their fried rice, which is a shame, but the General Tsos chicken and domain are fantastic. Egg rolls hit or miss, sweet and sour chicken is spongy.
