I dont end up at Zona Fresca very often, there arent too many around. There is this location on Federal Hwy and another one in Coral Springs on University. I was in the area at lunch time and decided to pay a visit today. My favorite menu item is the Cali-Wrap: chicken, melted jack and cheddar cheese, avocado, tomato, onion cilantro and lettuce in their lemony dressing all stuffed into a burrito for $7.95. You can get steak for a buck more. In addition to burritos they have street tacos, regular tacos, quesadillas, nachos, and salads. You can pick vegetarian bean, shrimp, pork, steak, and chicken for your protein. For a fast food place they have a have decent sized menu. After you order your food you can slide on up to the salsa bar and pick from pico de gallo, pickled vegetables, salsa, lime wedges, and my favorite tomatillo. You get a little bag of chips with the burrito so I like to pack up the salsa to go while waiting for my food. The restaurant is decorated very nicely for this price point of food. There are colorful posters on the wall in the dining room and pretty glass pendant lamps over the tables. This seemed like a popular location for this chain with many people coming and going during my visit. Even so my food was delivered quickly. It was a nice change up from my usual lunch of a sandwich or leftovers.

Zona Fresca was one of the place that gave you a lot for your money! Now they DONT give you chips with your order, you have to pay for it. The EMPLOYEES SUCK...They roll their eyes when you telling them what you want When you ask for ADDITIONAL toppings they dont give it to you! They fix you what they WANT. When you tell them you will pay for it. Dont order rice because its hard! The food gave my 4 of my coworkers the runs. They dont care anymore they just care about the money. Dont eat here then catch your flight. You will be very disappointed and so will the people on the plane. STAY AWAY EAT SOMEWHERE ELSE!!!

Zona Fresca has become my go-to-place for good Mexican food. The food is always fresh, hot and scrumptious. The staff is super friendly. If youre a regular like me, they will remember your order (plain cheese quesadilla and chips) and first name right away. I appreciate that the cooks make my order upon first seeing me walk in the door. I hear them saying "Yonnys here!" By the time Im ready to pay, my food is already served. I enjoy chatting with Raul, Francisco, Amjad, Ibrahim and others. They make a customer feel at home. I look forward to sitting in a corner to eat and read the paper while Juanes and Shakira play overhead on the speakers.

I was pleasantly surprised with zona fresca menu. Had never been and I thought it would be very texmex but it is mid point. They have a good salsa bar and many things on the extensive menu are not so texmex. I did like it a lot. I thought their prices were good too. This is a place that might be better by far than chipotle if you have a group of people that want more than the frw items chipotle offers. I love chipotle but zona fresca has way more variety for similar prices. Refill soda too. Clean place friendly staff. Good portion size. Great value.

The original location and in my opinion still the best. Great healthy fresh Mexican inspired fare made to order and served with warm tortilla chips. Salsa bar is fantastic and well maintained. Favorite of locals. Very hip crowd. Staff is friendly and they bust their behinds to get orders out quickly with excellent consistency and flavor. Dine in or take out. Great for healthy lunch or dinner, after the gym, meeting up with friends & my out of town guests love Zona Fresca as much as I do.

This is my go to mex-american restaurant. They have the best salsa I have ever had. I have actually purchased some to go so I could allow others to enjoy it. The food is fresh and delicious. This place is almost always packed around lunch and dinner hours and parking can be hard to come by. I am Ok with lack of parking because I love this place so much that I am willing to park further off site to eat there.

I am explaining my experience being a Mexican person who grew up with the best Mexican cooking from my grandmother to mother and then myself; the food was just ok. I had tacos, which were flavorless and dry. The salsas were not very good either. The worst part of experiece was the service, not very friendly and got the feeling that male cashier was not very interested in taking my order.

I have been a fan of Zona for Years!! Everytime we have an out of town guest we take them out to Zona Fresca. Inexpensive but exceptional quality!!! Never have I had anything that was not Excellent, Great service too, try the ceviche on FRI and Sat and the salsa is addictive as well, I never liked ceviche until I had it at Zona! I cannot give this a stronger recommendation ! Jeff R

We both order the 2 Taco Combo plates with steak and it was very disappointing. It was expensive and what little steak they served, it was tasteless.. The beans and rice were ok and we were not offered any chips or salsa to go with the meal.. With 2 drinks the check was a little over $19, a very disappointing lunch !! We will not be going back !!

We are from Germany and we know what fresh natural tastes like (to us France, Italy etc. is around the corner) You guys make excellent self service food!!! We are Triathletes and long distance swimmers, and never felt bloated...as from other places using unnatural staff that tastes like nothing! KEEP ON!!! We will be back!!!! Nos vemos, los alemanes....

Zona Fresca is a great place that the locals love. In a market being crowded by the likes of the Chipotle and Lime franchises, Zona has been a standout for being exceptionally tasty, having a nice environment and lacking the pretentiousness (looking in your direction Chipotle) and needlessly high prices (your turn Lime) of the others.

“Good night out!” Chef Jean Pierre knows how to entertain - and of course he knows how to cook! The classroom is done very well and the store is a local treasure. You get to watch your food be cooked, learn how its cooked and get the recipes to take home. Ive not had a bad dish yet. Bad jokes from chef maybe!...

The original location and still one of my favorite places to eat light delicious baja style mexican food. If you like traditional Mexican but wish it werent so heavy this is exactly what you need in your life. Fresh, delicious food that leaves you feeling full and happy, not queasy and crappy.

I love this place! I come here with my coworkers. They know the owner and he is very nice. They place is orderly, clean and staff is friendly. Very rare in fast food. When I eat here I never feel lazy after I eat, which is rare too. All you SFL people go and check out this cool place!!

I love this place. Best fresh mexican I have every eaten. If ur thinking moes, la bamaba, or even tacos bell, save some time and money (in taco bells case its the same price) and eat some of the best mexican in fort lauderdale. Cervesas are a little pricey but that is my only gripe.
