I came in with family, it was 11:35 am... as soon as we walked through the door we asked a server where we should sit and he Rudely said...breakfast is over if you want breakfast you better sit down and tell me your order right now...Um like okay jerk... we have never been here and do not even know the menu...so we sat down and decided...well since this guy seems aggravated at us already we will just order lunch. So then he came and asked us what we wanted...we said oh well were going to have lunch can we see a menu...and he said...again so rude...ugh well lunch starts at noon so you are going to have to wait. He said there was going to be a 20 min turnover from breakfast to lunch...First of all...I work in the food and beverage industry and there is no reason there should even be that long of a turnover or for it to be even remotely executed so poorly that you have to tell the customers. Anyways...if that was the case he could have said "oh I am sorry there will be a bit of a wait because we have a lunch turnover that starts at noon, if that will be okay." Not the way he said it so he was basically insinuating that he did not want to deal with us. We were kind of taken off by how rude this guy was, so we just left. Oh not to mention, a couple came in after us and the exact same thing happened with them. He told them breakfast was over...very rudely...NONE of this would have mattered if he handled it the right way and was polite...there was no sign anywhere of the times...and it was Sunday at 11:30am a lot of places would still be serving breakfast...so how would we know. This server ( could have been a manager I do not know), turned away 5 potential customers from 2 separate parties in less then 5 minutes by how impolite and bad mannered he was. We did not even eat there and I felt the need to write a review of the terrible hospitality that this restaurant had. I do not recommend this place to anyone, unless they are trying to be rudely greeted the second they walk through the door because they came at an "inconvenient" time for your server.

I stayed in this hotel in September 2009. The reason we booked the hotel was because of its location and affordability. The bad experience started the minute that we opened the door to our dirty hotel room! The phone didn’t work, the shower sprayed water on the ceiling and looked like it was about to collapse from the constant water damage, and the beds were hard as rocks!! When we woke up the next morning there were cockroaches crawling out of the beds. We went down and asked for a different room and the next room that we went in to had a dead roach on the floor. We decided to switch hotels and asked to be refunded do to our disturbing experience. The front desk clerk was very smug and thought the whole thing was amusing and the general manager was completely unsympathetic, they had the maintenance people hide the roach in the second room and try to say that it wasn’t there!!!!! This place shouldn’t be a two star hotel, more like a one star at the most. I understand that you get what you pay for but there are other hotels around for less money that are like the Ritz Carlton compared to this dump! BEWARE AND DON’T WASTE YOUR MONEY!!!

Well I had been here once around 11pm to get a mahi mahi sandwhich which wasnt too shabby. So I decided to go back tonight. This place says open til 12 am and I go by just after 11pm Tuesday July 11th and its all closed down already very disappointed. I then told my girlfriend I went there and it was closed at 11 , she was shocked I was going there anyways and told me its a drug hole. I wont be back there again. I would not of ever known or wrote this if the hours didnt say 12 am but closed at 11 no lights anywhere on at bar nobody to be found. Disappointed former customer Bruce.

I just moved 1 block away and heard about going to the deck from local friends. I was here once before and the burger I had was decent. I was met by a rude older blonde woman with short hair and a sense of entitlement that greeted me with "the kitchen is closed". Its quite clear my service is not wanted here. Too bad... its the closest place for a freshly relocated food critic from Oregon to frequent. Im told their food is decent - the back of house needs a fresh new staff for their ratings to improve and the Atlantic ocean to do its job.

Its the perfect atmosphere with an excellent view however the food is NOT good and the service is even worse... I always read reviews and never leave them but after walking away with a 75$ bill and disgusted with the food and service I HAD to make sure I warned everyone else SMH... Im extremely dissatisfied and complained several times about the issues with the food only to get a bad attitude from the server.. I RATHER EAT AT THE DOLLAR STORE THEN EVER ALLOW THEM TO ROB ME THE WAY THEY DID TONIGHT AGAIN

Having been on the road, traveling through Florida for two months, we had quite a few restaurant meals, but Id have to put my dinner here as the #2 meal if the entire trip! Hard to imagine - even our server, Joel, found that amusing, but my grilled chicken was prepared perfectly. The side vegetables were super tasty, as was the salad. Service was spot on and the view of the beach, along with the entertaining streem of passers-by make The Deck a must do whenever we return to Fort Lauderdale.

We love this place. Ate here 50 times during our yearly visits. Excellent Chicken Parm. Cant beat the 2 egg, home-fries and sausage breakfast at twice the price elsewhere. Great ocean view too. Best place to spend a rainy afternoon, outside under the canopy watching the waves crack, with a bucket of 5 domestic beers for $13; they even mix and match. Friendly staff - great service. -- Philly guy (ask for scrapple-- lol)

Great view, service is kind of slow, but the burgers are fantastic! By the far the best burger Ive ever had. I live in Michigan and I still talk about the burger I had here two years ago. The fries are also very good. I ordered the burger down there about three times, its awesome! Havent tried anything else though. Everything is priced crazy in fort lauderdale so $10 for a burger and fries isnt half bad.

fish and chips taste like the Gordons fish sticks, the burger meat taste like gas station burger meat. fries are excellent. BLT is good. on tap beer is good but not cold enough when you are sitting outside. brought my Miami vice drink out as a completely mixed together drink that tasted only like strawberry daquiri, bar tender said he only had 1 blender

We had good service and good food: burger with fries, salad and dessert. This restaurant is attached to The Sea Club Hotel. It is right across the street from the ocean and elevated so you can see the beach. Paid meter parking. The prices were high enough that we probably wont return, it is in the heart of tourist-orama so I shouldnt have been suprised :)
