Looking for a nice Friday night meal, my wife, daughter and myself tried Cibo. Service was poor and slow throughout from our waitress, Indy. Food was actually quite good. Upon delivering the check, Indy (who was handling dishes haphazardly all night) dropped four full wine glasses drenching us in wine and shattering glass on my family and me. Fortunately for the restaurant, I had already given my credit card, and the Manager came back with the bill fully charged. He offered a $50 discount for future visits, of which there will not be one. I might have objected further, but my primary goal was getting my family home to clean up. When we left, to add insult to injury the valet lost my car keys in the lot, and apparently drove over them, smashing the remote keyless device. This meal cost me $115.54 for the food, and likely about the same for a new keyless remote for my car. I am completely disappointed with every aspect of the evening. Problems will happen at times, but that way people handle those issues tell the story of quality establishments versus amateurs. ** NOTE ** The restaurant manager called me back the next day and agreed to tear up the dinner receipt and pay all costs. The offer is appreciated.

Not a place we would ever recommend. We love everything Italian and thought this would be a nice, new neighborhood place. Definitely disappointed. Went early on Saturday night for a birthday dinner. Sat at the bar & ordered a martini and glass of wine. The bar tender spilled a bunch of the martini when serving it and the olives feel out of glass and bottom olive hit the bar. She pulled bottom olive off, put the other two back in the glass and presented it. No offer to bring the third olive or refresh the substantial amount that was spilled. At $14 a martini...wow! Bad service. By the time we had finished our dinner the bar tender had spilled our drink, knocked something else big off the bar and broke a wine glass. Dinner meat & cheese platter ok...nothing special. Appetizer of fried artichokes & zucchini a bit soggy. Octopus was terrible. Almost tasted fake. The flesh had an odd color. It was grilled but the texture was really bad. It was placed on top of a salad...again, nothing special. There are other places in the Fort Lauderdale area that we feel have much better food and a much nicer atmosphere.

Meh. Overall. Atmosphere is noisy, very noisy. There is nothing to adsorb the sound, so at a booth we had to almost yell to hear each other. It was cool to watch them make the pizzas. It was very unique to have the "wine angel" get wine from the wall. Service was average to just below average. They have a huge wait staff, but service was slow. Ordered appetizer, 15 minutes later it arrives. The main course over 40 minutes later. When trying to get attention of our waiter for the check...first time ignored...second time did not even look...third time finally looked at us and we asked for the check. Food was bland. Chicken Parmigiana was not bad...but noting special or flavorful. Pasta was under cooked, when asked the waiter, the excuse was they are fresh made so it will taste different...they still had some crunch to them. White sauce was bland...was missing just one thing that would have made it a 10, maybe some extra spices or mushrooms... Overall I will not be going back. Place was crowded...so maybe just had bad luck on the timing.

My wife and i stopped in for a late lunch. The services was excellent and so was the food.It started with some warm fresh bread, brushed with olive oil and rosemary and a small side of Kalamata olives we proceed to order: Crusty trout with zucchini, yellow squash and fava beans, I had a panini with prosciutto . brie and baby arugula and a small mixed greens salad. And with all that great food i had an icycold draft Peroni beer. We look forward in coming back with some of our friends.

Came to Cibo for girls night with a friend before her wedding, and the bride, the mother of the bride, and myself all left with food poisoning and our entire evening was ruined before the wedding. I called to speak with a manager, and I was told that the manager was not in that day, but I will be called tomorrow. After waiting two days for a call, I heard nothing back, and I decided to call again, only to have my calls screened. Awful service and even worse result. Avoid at all costs.

I really hope this place sticks it out and amps up their marketing because they really do have potential and Id be sad to see them go however every time I theres lots of empty seats :( Great food, great drinks, great service, really awesome sexy hip vibe. Again, get that marketing up and also meals are a bit on the pricey side, especially for random us1 vs las olas or a1a.

the food and service was quite good. everyone was very attentive. the menu has a little of everything. the rating was 4 stars rather than 5 due to the noise. we went on a saturday night. it was almost impossible to hear a conversation across the table. i mentioned this to the manager.

Food is fabulous! The pasta is fresh, home-made and cooked perfectly (al dente), Even a simple salad was amazing - all ingredients were fresh. The house dressing was a very light vinegarette which allowed the freshness of the veggies to be enjoyed. You wont be disappointed.

For starters, the food is not Italian, just Italian style. The bar is nice if you sit at the bar. The tables are not great in bar. Did not get a warm feeling it is so dark. It is very attractive inside and a lot of thought and money went into it but something is lacking.

Upbeat atmosphere. Service was Great !!!... as were the Polenta Fries. However, the bread which was described as being "fresh" made daily, was a bit stale. The rice balls were savory and unique. Will definitely come back.

Tonight was our first time going to Cibo. Outstanding all the way around. Great happy Hour, and super friendly bartenders. Large portions at great prices, and cozy atmosphere. We just found our new spot!
