My wife and I were staying at Ocean Manor for a small getaway and the first night here we came to the Bamboo Beach Tiki Bar & Café for dinner. It had been a ling day traveling, we were hungry and wanted to have a few drinks while we planned out our night. The downfall is that it was sunday, and the bar was packed full of local regulars for the football games and outside the tiki bar area the tables were pretty full. We found a table and had a seat, after almost 30 minutes of severs looking at us and walking by like we didnt exist, we were getting up to leave when a gentleman named Dan walked through. I asked him what does someone have to do to get service, he looked around, shook his head and walked off. He came back literally seconds later with 2 menus, and took our drink order and told us he would be right back, he just needed to clock in for work and would be right back to us with our drinks. This guy came into work early and ended up jumping in to take care of us because the rest of the staff didnt care. At first I thought he was mad at us but in reality was irritated at the rest of the staff for not stepping up. We had dinner, the Burgers btw are amazing, and the Ahi Tuna was even better than the burger. A little pricey, but we didnt care because we were on vacation. We went out for a little bit and returned around 930-1000 time frame and decided to go to the bar for a few drinks. The service was much better however they were not that busy anymore either. We went back a few days later and received the best customer service from our server Kevin D. and the bartender Alyssa. These two people should be running the place because in all honestly they know what real customer service is compared to the rest that were running around there. I give this place 3 stars because customer service leave something to be desired. It also seems that there is no assigned seating areas for the servers and they just bounce all over the place to serve tables and are totally getting it wrong. I saw this place aired on Bar Rescue and figured it would be an amazing bar, however I think Mr. Taffer would be upset at the way things are going today. I would go back here only if Alyssa and Kevin D. are my bartender and server once again.

I feel like Jon Taffer needs to return to this place. The place has an awesome layout with very good concept, but the staff at the Tiki Bar is killing it. They have plenty of staff on hand just have no drive. You would think they where on vacation. The guys working security, and the night manager at the bar is a complete dick. They act like they are doing you favor by being open. Maybe the owner Franks needs employees not friends. You need Jon Taffer to show you once again how to be successful cause it is falling apart. One positive thing about the whole place was the food. I wouldnt return, and spend another dime with any business who acts like you owe them. Wrong way to do business you have it backwards. The people who reviewed your place hit it right on the head.

I wish I could give zero stars. My friends and I sat down and watched as several servers walked back and forth, completely ignoring us for nearly an hour. One of us went to the server station to ask for menus, and then had to stop a server 20 minutes after that to have our order taken. During this time, we watched as the servers took other orders and served people after we had gotten here. Then, a server came and joked about giving us free drinks to make up for the service but he brought us shots of water... Im just glad we could warn other groups that tried to sit down around us that we had been here for as long as we have (we are currently waiting on food).

My dad stays here every year...and every year makes a minimum on 1 trip to the tiki bar...no offense but the service every year is horrible. Honestly I dont know who does the hiring but this place is just awful. Frank whats up?!? The food and drinks are ok even though your typical price range for on the beach is high but not worth a dime when you factor in the service. Sadly we expect this every time we venture here. Maybe one day it will get better. PS: after todays experience we will never be back.

Totally depends on which staff you get. We went Saturday when we arrived in town... the food was yummy the staff was attentive the music was rocking. However the next evening -Sunday night sucked.. the music sucked...our waitress had to be flagged down for a drink even though they were not busy. But at least the food was still good. Very nice Ambience on the beach with ocean view and reasonable prices to reflect it. Typical Tiki Bar at a resort.

We ate here various meals and times over 4 days. and stayed at this hotel Food was fine Service was awful. Watch your bill. on a table of 5 they added a 20% tip not all the time and it was not posted anywhere. The workers did not seem happy at all. I have never had a 20% added to a bill with a table of 5! So watch your bill. Breakfast was good, Happy hour fine too. Probably would book another hotel due to this tiki bar.

The food is pretty amazing. I heard they recently got a new chef and revamped the menu. We stayed for a week and I ate almost every meal there. Breakfast was awesome, lunch was too. I had the chicken Caesar wrap at least 5 times. My only complaint was that the drinks were expensive. I had margaritas on the rocks and they were $9 in a little plastic cup. In short, go there for the food, not to drink!

This is one of my favorite places in Fort Lauderdale. Our waitress Kathy made our experience even better!!! We were disappointed with many of the other servers that work there because of their attitudes. Kathy was ALWAYS attentive and SUPER nice!!! We will be going back just to hang out with her! Make sure you request her if you sit at a table!

While the atmosphere is great & Im having an awesome time with friends..the unfortunate part is that (the waitresses)They are constantly quoting different prices on their drinks which is extremely annoying and not good customer service. Also we were here for ladies night and they charged my girls full price. They do not honor their menu prices

Depends what you want to order really...came from the UK and on holiday toFlorida and after seeing "Bar Rescue" was intrigued to experience the turnaround as such. Food was great, drinks were fine and service was very good. But I have been to a number of beach bars, particularly in the Caribbean and this does stand out...albeit Florida!

Nice outside area with tiki bar and good drinks. Food was good too. Valet parking is a pain and 5 bucks last time i was there. Pool is for hotel guests only but I managed to sneak in a few times. Wish they would just add a fee for visitors to use the pool, and validate parking for those of us that spend 50 bucks on lunch and drinks.
