TERRIBLE SERVICE - They YELL at their customers I have a severe food allergy, and fortunately I didnt eat all of the food they served me or I would be in the hospital writing this. I got horribly sick after eating something that wasnt listed on the menu. After being reassured that my takeout order could be refunded on the phone, I returned with all the food I didnt eat expecting a refund. Instead, I was greeted by the store owner who began to yell at me and berate me for "eating half of the food." I documented (via pictures) exactly how much food I have left. Check Trip Advisor for photos. She was very defensive when I approached her calmly, and she even had her chef come out to yell at me for 5 minutes because I have a food allergy. I have never had this treatment anywhere at any other Thai places in South Florida. One of the reasons I love Thai is because they are so accommodating to special diets. This was a first and a last for me. Please do yourself a favor and go elsewhere. Also, my hubbys chicken pad thai was mediocre, and they use HALF AND HALF instead of coconut milk like an authentic Thai restaurant. The owner is Chinese and will rip you off if you have a food allergy like I did. AVOID BANGKOK CAFE LIKE THE PLAGUE!!

Ive been coming to this delicious Bangkok cafe for 25 years. I am a Thai food connoisseur and from South, to central no North FL, their menu is the best! It may have changed ownership over the years, but the curries remain delicious! creamy with peanuts if massaman, red if curry ( I only choose 1 star for spice), their new grob appetizer has several shrimp and white of chicken with real, sweet, tamarind sauce. Ive tried everything on the menu, but, I dont love noodles although their sauteed meals are savory..yumm!! So, prices are affordable and one can share easily..portions require a hearty appetite. The portions are NOT small..I always take to go, if not sharing. Very important: restrooms are clean. Boxes of Thai products on way to the restroom give this place an authentic feel. Try it, you will like if not LOVE it.

I dont mind this place. Its not the best Thai food Ive had nor is it the worst. I also dont come here frequently. Ive probably been here 3 times in the past two years. I recommend getting a dish with the panang curry. The one time I tried seafood cooked in the red curry, the dish was ridiculously bland. So Ive decided to stick with the panang whenever I come here. The service is decent. I havent experienced any rudeness or any upsetting behavior from the waitresses. Theyve been cordial and attentive the few times Ive come here.

This little restaurant is amazing! The ladies that run the place are so friendly and nice. The service is speedy and the food is to die for! The portions are huge and the prices are fair. You must order the Pad Thai Noodles with chicken and shrimp & an order of the Sweet and Sour Chicken. If you like spicy-- they do it big here! They have a rating scale of 1 to 5 stars, but I cant handle more than 1 star. This place is amazing -- the best of South Florida. 5 star quality!!!!!

Dont let the quiet atmosphere and friendly staff fool you, the best part about the restaurant actually is the food! Dont stop in without trying the Chicken and Shrimp Pad Thai! The entire menu is unreal, order without fear. Oh, I almost forgot, so make sure you dont forget, the Thai Tea and/or Thai Coffee to finish your experience. (Or if you want have it before the meal LOL, thats always fun too.)

Super nice staff. Ordered the pad thai and won ton soup due to the good reviews online. Was excited to try it but it was not what i was expecting taste wise, cant really put my finger on it. I prefer Ho Tois pad thai whcih is on griffin and pine island. Probably wont be returning. Wonton soup had chicken in it, not beef. Overall, it was okay, but probably wont return

I love this place, the food is great love their spicy fried rice, i will admit the service many times is not the greatest. But last time i orderd pick up i got into an accident on the way and they actually waited about an hour for me to pick up the food with no complains so i guess service is really not bad. Shoot me myself would have closed down and gone home haha.

Only Thai restaurant in the area that will actually make food actually spicy. I usually ask for 15 star, try at your own risk. The fried rice and spicy fried rice are both very good, the curry is also good. Prices are reasonable and food is always ready when i order take out. Sometimes they are a little on the slow side during a busy lunch.

The food is really good but as for the service, its not the best. It took a while for them to come back and refill my water. Also, we did not get napkins. We had to flag a server down. But I guess the food and the price of the food is worth it. My Mom loves this place, so thats why we keep coming back.

Extremely disappointed... Thai food is so delicious, and my favorite type of asian cuisine. Its sad when you order pad see ew, fried rice, and egg rolls that are bland and cooked with commercialized seasonings. Not authentic at all! If you are hungry for asian food, Id suggest you go Chinese.

i mistakenly ordered my veggie pad thai from another restaraunt (bangkok cafe is tried and true) on my way home today because i was starving, but i will remember to order thai only from this restaraunt because it is the best. the others are disappointments in comparison.

Bangkok Cafe is the best place for Thai food in Fort Lauderdale. Very good atmosphere, authentic Thai food, and friendly&professional staff. I am Thai and I always go this place when I crave for Thai food. I would recommend this place if you are in Fort Lauderdale.

Look no further, the bangkok cafe simply had the BEST Thai food around. The staff is friendly and the food is cooked to perfection. Ive been to many other Thai restaurants in the area and no one has a better tasting Pad Thai.

I ordered the chicken pad thai and was completely disgusted. The smell alone was rancid. The was smoothing spoiled about it because it tasted rancid. I am absolutely disappointed.

Best ginger salad dressing Ive ever had. Lunch is a pretty good deal- entree under $10 that comes with a salad, a soup and a small eggroll. I strongly recommend this place.

Good food, but dont expect authenticity. Getting corn chips with your meal, while enjoyable, was a bit odd. Also, they really need to start delivering to the NSU campus.
