I just want to start off by saying that I go here almost every moring after getting off from work. I went there this morning and patiently waited to order a single ham and cheese empanada. The dark hair women, not the one with the glasses because she walked away to helped someone in the dinning area, the other lady with the fuller face took 2 people before me. Okay, fine. When she finally gets my order I tell her that I would like 1, one, hc empanada and she puts it in the bag and cashes me out. I look at the tray and there is only 73cents on it, Im missing a whole dollar. I normally tip, so it doesnt really bother me. I go to my car, noticing that I have two I head back to return it and calmly explain that I only wanted one. The lady doesnt even give me her full attention to resolve the issues, she just says "you get two", which is true, but TODAY I just wanted ONE. She then begins talking to someone else in Spanish so I left. I left the empanada, my change, everything. Going forth I will not spend any more of my money here. I normally spend anywhere from $5 and up here DAILY but I wont anymore. As a non Spanish speaker its already one thing to feel intimidated when ordering here, but for them to prioritize Spanish speakers is another. May your business continue to grow and prosper.

I told my sweet sister that when I come to Miami I wanted some Cuban food. Well I got what I asked for and then some. I visited thos place Mothers Day Weekend. The inside seating was full so we opted to eat on the covered patio. They had fans blowing from the ceiling which added to the breeze that was already present. Ever so often a nice mist of hydrating water would rain down on us. It didnt wet us which was cool. We ordered our food which was a little challenging because the menu is in Spanish and English secondary. The server is also Spanish so we were able to tell her what we wanted. I ordered some kind skirt steak with garlic, black beans and rice and plantains. My sis ordered a traditional Cuban sandwich and my niece had a burger. That burger was the real deal and huge. I asked for some type of fruit juice because I didnt want soda or water. The server suggested Watermelon juice. Now Im thinking this is some kind of mix. Nope it was pure juice from the watermelon nothing added to it. As if they put it in a juicer. No mam I cant drink that. I asked for water instead. I really enjoyed sitting and people watching here. Love different cultures.

My first time in Miami and also my first time trying a Cuban cuisine. My unfamiliarity with the food made it a bit difficult to choose which dish to pick. However, the menu was quite helpful as it has the ingredients listed and recommendations from the server. I picked their lechon asado along with the sweet plantain and vegetables. I must say I enjoyed the plantain and it reminds me of some of our dishes. Lechon was pretty tasty but the bigger chunks were a bit dry. The preparation were quite similar to my native dish and i know my wife would enjoy this. I think my experience would be a lot better if I had someone more familiar with the food so I can appreciate it more. Service were good and I really appreciated the warm bread as a starter. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for a Latin cuisine in the Miami area. Last time I was here in FL I wanted to try Cuban food but didnt get to, now I can say I did and I enjoyed it. Too bad they dont offer Cuban cigars for after meal chill.

We stayed across the street at the Crowne Plaza for one night and were looking for a good place to eat. After looking at some of the reviews, we were mildly interested in visiting the Latin Cafe 2000. The food reviews were great but the service, according to some was questionable.. Boy were we pleasantly surprised! From the moment we arrived, we received all kinds of attention... In particular, we want to commend our very kind and friendly waitress, Sara Urey. She could not have been more helpful in guiding us to the best choices on the menu. The food was terrific and we could not have been more pleased...

The staff was extremely unprofessional when we came for dinner Saturday evening. They were inattentive and we did not get any drinks until 10 min after we were seated. The wait was slow and when our food finally came one of the orders was wrong. None of the staff came to check up on us during our visit. On the plus side, the food portions were pretty big and worth the money. The rice and beans side was super tasty and flavorful, as was everything else. We sat outside on the patio, so maybe our experience could have differed if we sat inside.

This place was so delicious! We were heading to another restaurant but we saw this one on the side of the road so we decided to check it out .You get for what you pay for and I mean! Its a lot. The service was awesome. Our waitress name was Nancy! She was sooooo sweet. I really liked her :) . We had so much food left over that we have practically an extra meal to take home. I go by reviews alot and this was the best restaurant I have ever been to in Miami. The atmosphere feels awesome was very cozy! I Highly recommended!

As far as Cuban places go, this is my favorite one. Great service always. Clean tables. It has an outdoor terrace with fans. Ambiance: perfect Cuban restaurant, light music and good environment. Cleanliness: everything looks clean. Bathroom couldve cleaner. Food: all around great my favorite dish is the Vaca frita de pollo (fried cow chicken). I have yet to see it at other Latin Cafe restaurants or at any other Cuban spots. Simply delicious. Also a great selection of natural juices. And a tasty Cuban breakfast.
