Not friendly to service dogs. My request of restaurant owners/managers/workers: observe before accosting a potential customer and creating a scene. When a person has a service dog due to experiencing extreme trauma, the LAST thing we want is confrontation. Thats why I tend to stay home. Often owners/managers/staff of restaurants pretend that they know The Federal Disabilities Act that is fully backed up by the U.S. Justice System, but they dont. Yes, you can get sued and lose. The rules and fines are clear. If you arent following them, then you are at risk. Also: service dogs do not have to act like dogs that are seeing eye dogs. They should be well-behaved, but they get excited like "regular" dogs, too. And SERVICE DOGS, BY LAW, DO NOT HAVE TO WEAR A VEST OR ANY IDENTIFYING SIGNAGE. The Disabilities Act spells it out very clearly. But, you have to bother to read and adhere to it prior to further traumatizing a person who usually stays home because people are often confrontational instead of being kind, concerned and knowledgeable. If that was the owner who came out from behind the counter to confront me, you should be ashamed. Use Google. Learn something.

I like to comment on the service dog ESA review you received and responded to on your page... Danielle you very disrespectful to persons with disabilities and breaking the law also! These people deserve your benefit of your Doubt. You are not the law and can not place judgement on a disabled person because you believe that some people have service dogs that are not really service dogs. Thats not for you to determine..... my husband is severely disabled and has an ESA dog we plan to visit there with our dog and believe me I will sue if he is treated like an out cast like this poor women that was just trying to come to your establishment because she believed it to be friendly! Im sick and tired of businesses like yours excluding and singling out people that have disabilities these people have a hard enough time dealing with every single minute of the day with rude buisness owners like yourself that make them feel in wanted!! Your in buisness because we keep you in buisness remember that we pay taxes and Live in this town!!!

I have been to Sweet Pea Cafe multiple times but when an employee was talking bad about how I was disciplining my two year old who was acting up and being awful is not ok. It is not ok for them to talk bad about a customer. I felt awful having to discipline my child but I cant let her act out and I was very disappointed for a place that is suppose to be kid friendly to treat someone like that is wrong. I dont think I will ever go back to this place if thats how they treat parents who are trying to teach their children the difference between right and wrong. That is the worst my two year old has ever behaved and I had a right to discipline her and to have a server say did you see what she just did to her daughter is wrong on so many levels. I will no longer recommend this restaurant to my friends and family or come here again.

Ive been here twice and I really like it. Its a great place for kids or not. Kids are allowed to run around outside in a fenced in area. Ive had the Lemon Lime chicken salad sandwich, it was delicious. So was the lemonade Mimosa. Today I had strawberry pancakes and bacon. I also had the cold brew coffee which was quite yummy. They have a large selection of teas, coffees (organic/fair trade), smoothies. They have a lot of yummy foods, they use fresh ingredients usually organic, they also have really good gluten free choices. I had gluten free pancakes with fresh strawberries baked in, delicious. The prices are a bit higher, but I feel the money goes to ingredients and to make this a fun place for kids. I not to mention, the food is very good. I would have taken pictures of the food, but I ate it

For a place that has worked hard to welcome families and kids, its a shame that it fell short. Fresh, high quality food, but the portions are too small, especially for what theyre charging, which already seemed about $2 too expensive for everything across the board. Theyre nice enough to give a free drink refill with purchase of a meal--why not just offer free refills? The sandbox and lovely shady outdoor setting should make a it a perfect afternoon spot for families. Sadly it felt so stingy and overpriced that we probably wont be back.

Beautiful concept and comfortable feel of this old home turned restaurant. Cozy furniture, wonderfully landscaped, delicious healthy menu options with nice portions , and very very friendly staff. Wonderful with small children due to play areas inside as well as outside in the yard (with play house, sandbox, and bubble machine). We were walking past it from our vacation rental while exploring downtown Dunedin, and the gorgeous flowers and butterflies drew us in. SO happy that we went in!

There was truly nothing I didnt like about it, it was a fabulous dining experience starting with Katie ( hope I am spelling it correctly ) and continuing through breakfast until finally meeting the manager, sorry did not get her name. Clean excellent food and great service for a very affordable price, I will definitely be returning.

Sweet Peas Cafe is a COMPLETE gem!! Even better if you have kids - because theres ample room for them to run around and play, while you get served awesome home made food as you relax in a chair beside the sandbox. Highly recommended. You should go.

Cute little spot in Downtown Dunedin. They offer a variety of menu items for those looking for organic and wholesome ingredients. Its a nice spot for Moms to eat while the kids play outside on the property.

We had the bacon, egg and cheese sandwich and it was delicious. The fresh squeezed oj tasted just like an orange. They source all of their food locally and organic. Would recommend Sweet Pea for breakfast.
