This place has HORRIBLE customer service!! Dont believe me call and place the same concern listed below and see for yourself how it is handled. *Last night I went there to take my children to eat ice cream at 9:30 PM and the dinning area/inside was closed. There were signs that clearly stated that the inside closes at 10:00 PM. There was a sign stating to use the drive through service. My children were extremely disappointed as they wanted to sit inside and enjoy their ice cream. The sign clearly stated that the dining room closes at 10:00pm. It was bothersome to find the doors locked. When going to the drive through I brought it to the attention of the young lady attending the window and she went on to explain that they close the dinning area/inside at a quarter to 10 which at that point it still was not a 1/4 to 10. I suggested they change the signs as this is inaccurate information. I received multiple blank stares from her and expressed the feeling of disappointment and I also pointed out what the sign stated. So as a responsible consumer I called the store today and ask to speak to a manager. The staff member went on to say that the manager was not available and she insisted I speak to her. She then said she handles the calls and that the store owner does not call anyone back. I expressed what happened the night and I suggested the signs be changed. This womans attitude was just down right nasty and rude! She went on to say that they will not change the signs and thats that! she explained the same that they close the dinning room earlier then 10 pm so I went on to express again that the sign states otherwise. This woman was down right rude and unprofessional. I was the one trying to keep the peace during the conversation as she was extremely hostile. At one point I stated "No darling your not understanding" and her reply was "Did you just call me Darling? Yeah well I will give the owner your message" I asked her if it offended her that I called her darling as it is a term of endearment and she repeated she will give the owner my message I then asked her to add that I did not appreciate the way she treated me and to please add that to my message as well. I have never received a call back from an owner. It is extremely sad to know that this business that operates in my community can treat their customers so horribly. I have gone into much detail as I hope to raise awareness to other consumers that intend to visit this establishment after 9:30 PM I recommend you go else where. Save your money and go to the supper market and have an ice cream buffet for the money you will spend there. Best wishes and blessings to all.

We have been going to this Deland icescream shop for a couple years, and we love it. However, the employees are not properly trained to handle cash. When receiving money from a customer, a professional, trained employee places the money on the cashier first then gives the change. However, in this establishment, their policy is to take your money, put it in their lockbox and then give you the change they decid to give you. We gave the employee a $20 bill and this employee claimed we only gave a $10. This employee was unable to check the numbers against the register and the drop box because this employee didnt have access to the lockbox (needed a key). Owner was then called, insisting that our family was scamming the establishment, and that we were on camera, and this employee has been working for them for 4 years and they never would steal. We informed the owner several times on the phone, this was not the case, it was clearly a mistake of handling the money improperly. And the owner then told me to shut up and never come in her shop again. Working in customer service for many, many years, I advise the owner to change their way on how they receive their money from the customers, then they wouldnt keep having this misundestanding as the owner explained to me that this has happen before. I insisted that I leave my name and number, but the owner refused to take it. In the end, I finally got my correct change, our 2 sundae ($8) and a new place to eat it!

Ive lived in Deltona for 24 years and have been a patron of Deltona Ice Cream (nee Rodeo Whip) since I was a small child. Weve always gone there for the ice cream, not the service, but tonight was just too much. I ordered a chocolate soft-serve mix-in with "peanut butter cups." The lemon-faced woman at the counter began to make my ice cream, and when I saw her put a scoop of some peanut butter-like substance from a big plastic tub, I said "Excuse me, maam, I asked for peanut butter cups." "You asked for chocolate and peanut butter, thats what Im making." "No, I asked for peanut butter CUPS." "You SAID peanut butter. Do you want this one or do you want your money back?" The bottom line is that it doesnt matter what I initially asked for. Even if she was totally convinced that was what I said and failed to repeat my order back to me, the appropriate response is to sell me what I thought I ordered. I would have taken the ice cream she was already preparing if she had just added some Reeses like I wanted and been done with it. They wont be receiving my business again.

The teenagers whom work in the place are so rude and only there so they can be in the work program at school. I used to take my daughter once a week. But they can not keep employees for very long causing the serice to have gone down hill in the past 14 yrs. Today we went back because my daughter asked. We paid nearly $2 for a kiddie cone which should have included sprinkles and not even. A third of the ice cream had sprinkles, but you must pay an additionAL fee to have sprinkles. Same as my cone. I asked why was I being charged if there were practically no sprinkles and the girl rudely said well they just dont stick and there is nothing we can do. I told my daughter Id rather take the extra drive and pay a few more dollars to a company who treats their customers with respect and offers abetter product. Deltona ice cream has officially lost yet another customer. Also its about time they upgrade their boards and get a real menu, not computer print outs or rude hand written notes

This is not the 1st or 2nd but its the 3rd time i visited this place only to get attitude from the employees working. On this visit i simply asked for the lady to put the fudge on the bottom of my brownie sundae just to make the brownie warm as i didnt want the fudge ontop of my icecream . After repeating it three times i watched her carry my icecream to the back and start pouring fudge ontop and after repeating it again she rudely replied this is how we make it. So basically i have to take fugde ontop??? This is not how you treat paying guest as i am a manager of a dunkinaskin and stiil decided to come here . I will be calling to speak to the manager as the girl working this evening has no customer skills at all.
