What a great place to visit. A friend arrived from out of town and I had read previous reviews. Some great, some not so great. We checked it out. There was a line to get in, but the place is big and the time wait just a few minutes. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Went on a Saturday morning, so they were busy. Seem short-staffed, but everyone pitched in. We ordered our food and expected a long wait as there were only 2 cooks in the kitchen we could see and a packed house. By the time the coffee arrived, we saw that 2 more cooks arrived in the kitchen. The waitress seemed a bit forgetful -- asked for lemon for the water 3x. Forgot to bring my potatoes that went with my breakfast. I was hungry. I had an omelette with rye toast and potatoes. My friend had the corned beef hash & eggs. The corned beef tasted a bit different, but she liked it. I enjoyed my omelette and ate it all. When I was almost finished, I was able to grab our waitress and ask if she remembered that I was supposed to get potatoes. She looked at my plate and said, "didnt you already eat them?" and I told her I never got them, and I was hungry. My friend concurred. She got a bowl of potatoes from the kitchen and I thoroughly enjoyed them. Great place to eat. Food is good. Just a few hiccups along the way. Well go back. And, we didnt know they serve Mimosas too.

After reading the reviews while on an overnight stop in Daytona, the family and I went over for breakfast last Sunday morning. I love diner food and was excited as we drove over to Daytona Beach Shores. The place was busy and we got the last three seats at the counter. The kitchen was busy, but our orders were simple: cereal for the child, and eggs/toast/hashbrowns/breakfast meat/juice for the adults. My bacon was very old (think dry and turning light brown), the toast was wheat not white, and my omelette was heading towards over done (at least the hashbrowns were great). The other order came with bacon instead of sausage. The only thing that was right the first time was the cereal. I credit the staff for correcting the bacon issue quickly, but the sausage wasnt corrected, and the replacement toast came only as we were ready to leave, so I passed on it. I dont know if its a wait staff issue, kitchen issue, combination, etc. After we paid the check a staff member came out the door to thank us for our business; but for that act, it was a 1-star experience. The next time Ill go to Cracker Barrel like the rest of the herd.

The breakfast here are really good. I had the house omelet, the cracked egg omelet. It was filled with sausage, ham, bacon, green peppers, onion, then they put their sausage gravy over the omelet itself. So good. I also recommend their pancakes, as they were cooked perfectly. The atmosphere was visually simple yet slightly modern but the music was oldies. I liked this unusual mix. The service was a bit lacking, but not bad. Being my first time at the restaurant it took me awhile to figure out what i wanted. But when I was ready, I had to wait a few minutes for my waiter to work her way back over to me. Maybe I am just impatient but the same thing happened when I was ready to pay the check. Overall, I love these small local food joints and will always try then over the Dennys or IHOP that are near by.

Food was good. The reason I want to give a comment is an employee that they have. The young man that busses the tables and helps seat guests has to be hands down the best worker I have ever seen!! He took so much pride in his job! He wanted everything to be perfect. It literally brought tears to my eyes! I Asked for the manager and bragged on this employee and explained to him what a gem he has with that young man and the attention he gave everyone with no expactation of anything in return. We gave him a tip and told him what an awesome job he was doing that young man was so touched and greatful. He told us that his goal was to make the customers happy everyday and do his best. If you eat here please stop for a moment and compliment this young man. Truly a gift from God!

We love going here! Even when theyre slammed it doesnt phase them - the service and food are always on point. Our order always comes out in minutes, piping hot and weve never had a bad server. They make sure everything is perfect and if anyone ever has a concern they address it immediately and make it right. I cant recall a time we went in and didnt see one of the brothers - visiting every table, welcoming everyone and genuinely thanking them for their patronage. We love that we live so close and continue to tell everyone about it. During the recent hurricane they opened their doors to the community and gave out a free hot breakfast to anyone in need. We will definitely be back!

The food looked good, but as for how it tasted, I have no idea. I waited about 15 minutes and never even got a menu. That isnt unheard of in a busy restaurant, but the fact we saw three different tables get seated and handed a menu AFTER we came in, we gave the three waitresses five more minutes before marching out amongst sympathetic looks from several customers nearby who had noticed we hadnt even been greeted by a waitress yet. We even had one waitress have to walk AROUND the high chair our son was sitting in to get to a table of people who walked in 5 minutes after we did. The other customers noticed our lack of service before the wait staff did? Really? Will not be returning.

Horrible service, cold food. Me and my wife drove 30 minutes to try this place. We started with a mimosa, with lipstick all over the glass. Thats okay, it happens. We then ordered the famous apple fritters, which you could easily tell were just plucked from under a warming lamp and not freshly made. Next we ordered egg benedicts, I had the country style and my wife had the Chesapeake style. We both received cold and super over salted dishes, that was also the last we seen of our server, no I never got a refill on my lukewarm coffee. If we also ordered hash browns which could of been kids sized. We ended up spending $40 for Dennys quality food. Not a good experience.

This place is great! Dragged my fiance to breakfast, but after we got our food he couldnt complain. This little family-run joint is completely unassuming but the steady stream of costumers lets you know youre in the right place. We tried their Country Benedict, like biscuits and gravy but with a poached egg and English muffin. The grits, sausage, and corned beef hash, too. Everything was delicious, buy I have to say the corned beef hash is The Best Thing Ever! You can taste the corned beef and cabbage and onions. You can tell its not Hormel out of a can. Its fresh and flavorful and were going back this morning.
