TACO PUPPIES!!!!! BEST TACOS EVER!!! Great prices too... in fact, I think they should charge much more. Seriously folks, this is the real deal. I have spoken to the two brothers :) themselves and heard the authentic stories which define the essence of their humble beginnings. These recipes they say have been passed down generations and were composed of the exact ingredients they grew up eating themselves. When you do visit watch them make your food. You see and taste the love and passion they take in folding every single burrito perfectly. The nickname "Taco Puppies" was first used when I was driving east on 595 one evening and there it was... I didnt have to think anything up... There were 2 big, brightly lit signs one reading Tacos and the other Puppies. The truth is they are 2 separate stores with the one saying "Tacos" belonging to Agave Azul and the "Puppies" belonging to the pet store next door. I have never had a corn tortilla "con todos" or even knew what that meant a year ago but know I do know that the burrito here is the only thing that could ever get between my wife and I. No sour cream? What did you say... Goat milk?? WHATEVER! GIMMIE MORE!!! My favorite is the steak taco on a corn tortilla with everything on it. The ingredients are all homemade and full of mouth watering authentic Mexican flavor. If I were a millionaire and had the money to do so I would give them everything I could to open more stores across the nation. After that I would shown them what a real taco "con todos" is all about and open one on every corner of Mexico.

I live a few blocks away from the restaurant and I used to always take my girlfriend there. My girlfriend being the girl she is finds anything called Mexican food to be delicious but me as a Mexican American find it very hard to find authentic and delicious Mexican food unless my mom is cooking. Although El Agave Azul changed that for me. I fell in love with the little family friendly place and even more in love with their tacos. Unfortunately though, recently they have not been as good as they were before. Im not sure if they changed the cook or recipe but I have noticed that when I am finished the high amount of fat that they use to cook the food is no longer at the bottom of the tray. Maybe they are trying to be healthier by not using lard to cook their food (i think they used lard, im not sure) but never the less, the taste in my opinion has downgraded from 100% the best of South Florida to I would rather eat at home. I might actually consider revisiting and asking the manager what happened. Oh and I noticed a post bashing the manager, in response to that I have to say that I have never seen or hear him act that way. He is usually very nice to me and so is one specific employee. Over all if this was a year ago i would give it a 5 out of 5 stars, but now El Agave Azul, I am disappointed and regretful but must give you 3 out of 5 stars.

After living in Los Angeles for two years, Ive learned what real Mexican food taste like, and that which rains supreme is the taco :) One of the things I miss most about LA is the food. I was downtrodden to think Id never have another taco like that again except when I visited LA. Then a colleague recommended El Agave Azul, and after having a conversation with one of the proprietors, learned that they were from Mexico! My hope had been restored, and ultimately fulfilled. I highly recommend getting the carne asada taco (or anything else carne asada!) and make sure you use that salsa verde they have too! This is very likely the BEST authentic taco (and most flavorful) that you will find unless you are in LA, (Or Andrew Zimmern doing a bit on the taco carts in Mexico).

I went here on a weekday to have lunch. This is a cafeteria style ordering place where you can see them assembling your food right in front of you. The food is a bit more authentic than the other popular quick Mexican food joints. This is reflected in the price as well, which is not expensive but just a little more than you will spend at Chipotle for instance. I ordered a quesadilla with chips(authentic made) and queso and the food was delicious. The only reason I am giving this place 4 stars instead of 5 is because of the location. The shopping center becomes a little questionable at night time, therefore, I would only visit this place for lunch or during daylight.

I have no idea what the ANONYMOUS "A Google User" is talking about (but I have to wonder about any review that is posted anonymously). This place does not smell bad. the food has always been very good and Im always impressed by what a clean line they keep. You can SEE this with your own eyes unlike most places that hide their filth behind closed doors. Could there have been a roach in their food? Its entirely possible, it is south florida after all. I have never seen one. I *seriously* doubt that they could have gotten the proper permits and passed inspections w/out doing the appropriate cleaning and potentially exterminating after the puppies were gone.

I found this place about a year ago. I was a bit skeptic about it because being raised in California i know my mex food. But I said what the hex I'll try it. I ordered a carne asada burrito and i was saying to myself this is Damm good.. the following weekend i took my wife who also loves mex food. Then i had the menudo soup which is a bit on the fatty side but very very good. So over all its a great place to go. Staff is very friendly and the restrooms are clean. When you see a line of people waiting to order on Friday night you know the food has to be good.

If you haven eat Original Mexican food here then you have Never ate Authentic Mexican food! I watched this local mom n pop Restaurant grow from just a take out counter into three Amazing restaurants. The food is amazing n the staff knows how to help u understand their dishes. I love this place and my picky eater daughter begs me to bring her here every other day for her favorite cheese qesadilla and the home made Oreos pikolo ice cream bars!

Whizz right past the nearby McDonalds and go straight here! You will not be disappointed! Amazing, fresh, authentic food made by people who actually care about what they do. Its not just the best tacos I have ever had in my life... The people in charge are some of the nicest Ive ever had the pleasure of doing business with and genuinely seem passionate about this food that theyre making. Its really impressive.

Terrible customer service....the woman that helped me was extremely rude and sarcastic and acted as if I owed her something. The portions are very small and to make matters worse, I had a hair in my food. Wasnt even worth my time to make a trio back there to complain. I will never again visit this establishment and will never recommend it to anyone.
