Madruga Bakery’s service is excellent and the bakery is on the right track to being a successful bakery. I wish you much success. South Florida needs more community bakeries. Hi to Larry, who was very friendly to us during our recent visit for lunch on Friday. I came back the following day, Saturday, to specifically try out the cinnamon bun since it was not available on Friday. The cinnamon bun’s cream cheese topping was excellent and did help provide the moist, rich characteristic you look for in a good cinnamon bun. Unfortunately, the bun was on the dry side. If a dough is too ‘lean’, or the buns have been baked so far in advance, the buns will be dried out and the edges will be hard. Cinnamon buns are one of my favorite sweets and I have visited: Flour Bakery and Café (Boston, MA); Standard Baking Company (Portland, ME); and Sweet Theory Baking Company (Jacksonville, FL). The buns from all three bakeries were to die for and yes, the dough recipes were all different, but, the entire bun was moist, rich, and sweet but not overly sweet. (Note: Sweet Theory BC is a vegan bakery). Hubby had the croissants and they were excellent. I will be back.

What an amazing bakery! My husband and I came here for lunch and we loved everything we ate. We shared the egg sandwich, which came on a delicious poppyseed bun. So yummy! We also got the fennel salad - a perfect blend of greens and sunflower seeds with a delicious dressing. We also got the hazelnut chocolate croissant, which is one of the best Ive ever had. Their cafe con leche is also the real deal... Not just a latte, a legit, authentic Cuban cafe con leche. The place itself is also great. Open with lots of light and plenty of tables to settle into. We will be back soon!

One of the most spectacular bakeries Ive ever been to. Id given up on thinking I could buy anything healthy at a bakery. I was making my own bread and was not interested in the overly sweet and inferior ingredients used to make baked goods until I came to Madruga Bakery. The attention to detail is superlative. She grinds her own flour and cultivates her own sourdough starter. Everything is made with extreme care and attention to the finest details from quality to presentation. Im on my way over there right now!

Ive been coming since soft open. Love the attention to detail and every item on the menu is perfection. Try the egg sandwich for breakfast with peppermint tea; or the juicy roast beef sandwich for lunch. The sweet potato sandwich is a delicious vegetarian option. Must end with the lemon palenta mini cake. It truly is perfection.

Deliciously crafted sandwiches. We loved the BAT and sweet potato sandwich and a pair of pastries for dessert. A little pricey but totally worth it for the flavor and freshness. Excellent service and clean, pleasant facility as well.
