Spiros Needs to close their dirty doors. About 1 1/2 years ago my friend and I wnt for lunch at Sprios. I ordered 2 calzones. One to eat the and one to go.We had a german roach crawl across the table. We said " Yuck "but, we know we live in Fl and although roaches can be controlled in a restraunt it can happen that you see one. No biggie. After eating my friend and I were chating then the waitess came by & commented" Here is your to go order as she placed it on the table next to us. After a few mntues I glanced over at the to go box and noticed a roach crawling on the table where the box was. So I went over and opened the box and my Calzone was covered in German roaches and they were running all over the box .There had to be at least 20. The waitress came back and I showed her she said "Do you want to reorder" I said NO. She took that to go Calzone off my bill. We were disgusted and swore we would never go back. Then today 1 1/2 years later My friend and I went back to give Spiros CLermont another chance. When we walked up I noticed the widows were nasty.I made a comment to my friend but we went in and thought its not so bad inside. We sat & Ordered. After 15 min the waitress came to inform us our food was just about ready and she placed 2 plates on our table. The top plate was filthy and nasty as well as greasy. I was in shock. I told the waitress " I cannot belive you just gave me this plate . Would you eat from this plate"? The plate look like it had been outside in a nasty back yard for a couple of months and you could feel grease on it. She looked at it and acted like it was normal and nothing was wrong with it. I asked her for another plate. Now she either came back with the same nasty plate or they have many plates that are as nasty. Again I said I cannot belive this. I demanded to speak to the manager. After a few mintues of waiiting I looked over and saw Ann Dupree( She writes for South Lake Press Newspaper here in Clermont) So I stood up and walked over to her a placed the nasty plate on her table.I said " I was just given this plate to eat off of" Can you see its Filthy. Now write that in your Newspaper.I then stood and loudly spoke to customers about our last Roach experience there at Spiros. I then told my friend "Jan lets go". Spiros should be ashamed.Clermont Customers deserve Clean Plates and Roach Free food.If the front of restraunt is nasty you can only imagine how nasty the back in the kitchen is.Where custoers cant see.I am so disgusted.I plan to tell as many people as will listen.

Decided to try this restaurant again; not good luck the past two times of dining in at this Italian Restaurant over the past year. This time a pick-up of a large simple thin crust pizza and 3 desserts. The desserts were fine, but once again the pizza was not. It had a funny very strong smell when we got in the car, (smelled like a beef roast?) and once home and people started eating the thoughts were, where was the extra cheese on this extra cheese and pepperoni thin crust pizza that also had as a topping some onions. There also was a lack(barren) of pepperonis on about 2" of the outer diameter and was it lacking of pizza sauce as well. The one thing the pizza did have was an overwhelming taste of onions which I would hope was not that dominating due to asking that it have some onions as one of the toppings? Maybe simply too strong of onions to be using or old, dont really know? I sincerely thought it would be appropriate to simply credit for the pizza cost which was close to $20 of the $42 pick-up order. I also sent photos of the pizza showing the overall lack of extra cheese and pepperonis on the outer diameter. At any rate called and talked to an owner who listened, took our phone number, and said would get back in touch; have not heard back from him as of yet?

Spiros is an unusual charm of the area; it is popular, food is good, prices are right, beer is cold. Their offerings are respected as you would expect from a well established local restaurant; however, there is a new addition that raises the bar in regards to customer service. His name is Hezekiah. Hezekiah is a young man who anticipates your needs, make good suggestions, and was on top of our beverage refills. He politely spoke to us when we wanted to know more about him and we identified he is a great young man at his core. If you have had poor service here in the past (name a restaurant where that hasnt happened anywhere), come back and retry it again. Hezekiah will make you welcome and you cannot ask for more than that.

Last original standing restaurant in Clermont . Spiros has been there since 1984 and has been a big contribution to the community and is always a helping hand by donating food to family who have lost loved ones , work directly with the First Baptist Church and other local restaurants during the holidays to cook over 100 turkeys along with side dishes and opens their doors for anyone who is in need during Thanksgiving and Christmas. Prides their restaurant on their big portions , incredible homemade sauces, delightful homemade fresh pizza dough and delectable desserts . Everything is made fresh to order, definitely worth the stop at this mom and pops family restaurant.

So my family and I went into spiros and had dinner. We had a big group and they were more than willing to accomodate us. It was a Friday night and they were packed. We had to wait awhile but once we were sat it was well worth the wait. Our waitress was great and the food was awesome!!!!!!! Our burger took about 25 minutes but I could see why! It was thick. We were told that all burgers are hand pattied to order which accounted for some time. but it was also worth the wait. I would recommend this restaurant. Warning if you have to wait it is worth it!

I have lived in Clermont 21 years. I found Spiros the first week end I lived here and have been a regular from that time on. I travel on business. I have seen Spiros change owners from the family to friends who cooked for them. The food is incredible, has always been and consistent. By far the best Pizza, Calzone, Gyros, Burgers and in the area. The entire menu is great. Many guests have been there with me and rave about it. Dont miss this one, you will be pleased with all aspects of Spiros.

Food was amazingly good. Prices are decent for the amount of food you get. Atmosphere is very nice as well family-friendly. The only issue that I had was while we were eating dinner there was an argument between a manager and a wait staff of the cash drawer being short and the two of them arguing about whose fault it was. Other than that I would recommend this restaurant anyone. If we are in the area again I would probably go back as well.
