To begin with the pros... I love pollo tropical. Never really had a bad experience at any of my visits to pollo tropical anywhere else. My first time to this one. Im not a picky ...picky eater for one... Ive eaten out doors and indoors and dont mine the occasional fly buzzing around or bug crawling on the floor... So here I go... props to the manager leading from behind the prep line trying to get everyone in order and doing something. Butthe staff was disorganized. Multi meal ordered were not coming out in the same sequence. Then I noticed the serving trays were wet, like drink spilled in those with , what I think dissolved bread or crackers... (I hope) these needed to be wiped off before taking plates our to customers... aaaa nd, they werent. One of the staff members handling other than food items, kept her gloves on them grabbed a pics of already cooked chicken breast with her gloves hand, and placed on the grill to reheat , I said something but she didnt hear me , I suppose., then I mentioned to another staff member and she just looked at me and didnt say anything. Sooo... I was like eel glad it isnt mine. Lol. THEN , my sandwich (order left out) was being made..i looked and was going to say something when I saw who was making it, that same time...i notices her using the the bottom of her gloves hand and squashing something and then rubbing off whatever she squashed on the edge of the food prep counter. She looked up and I shook my head know and asked what did she squish and thats you dont do that... she asked.."what?" I repeated ..then she spomebti the manager...who was prepping meals as well...they spoke , manager looked at me then told her to prep me another sandwich and to throw the sandwich and fries away. Anyway, I got another sandwich after she changed gloves, chipotle chicken... btw , the staff member apologised. There was also utensils missing from sauces . They were taking turns prepping food and serving...and cleaning the dining area. Like I said not picky or or would have asked for my $ back. Others would have made big scene, me no... but i think the staff needs to treat the business as if they or their famimies were being served and / or as if it were their business. Sandwich was good btw.

I have always had trouble with this location getting me the proper food the first time when I place an order, but I have learned to tolerate it, primarily by double checking my food at the window and making sure they give me a receipt. Annoying, but manageable. However, last night, my girlfriend was sick, and wanted their chicken. We drove over at 10:45 PM, 15 minutes before the drive thru closed. However, no one responded to me at the speaker. I pulled up to the window. For five minutes, I couldnt even see anyone inside. However, finally a gentleman came from the back, and began sweeping the kitchen in front of me. I yelled and banged on the window to try to attract his attention so I could place my order, considering that they were still open for 10 more minutes at this point, but there was no response. I witnessed two other employees go along their cleaning duties, and not once did anyone noticed that I was watching them through the drive thru window that was suppose to be open. At 11:00 PM, after having tried in vain to gain their attention for 15 minutes, I finally threw in the towel and left, considering that I had a sick person to feed, and didnt want to waste time on people who didnt want to help. I doubt I will ever be back to this location again, even though I do like their food.

I love eating at Pollo Tropical however, the store closest to me is a huge disappointment. They used to have a very good manager. She ran this location flawlessly. I have no idea who the manager is now but it is getting to the point were I refuse to go back there. The employees there seemed to have no direction or clue whatsoever. My last visit there I arrived at around 5 oclock and they were slow. The employees had no sense of urgency to get the orders out. The order before mine was left sitting on the counter waiting for a server for over 3 minutes. When my order was done I just got up from my seat and went and got it myself. I hope someone of authority reads this and makes changes at this location because I would like to start going there again.

My experience was horrible!!! I waited over 20 minutes for food (this is a fast food place). All of the food is ready and all they have to do is put it on a plate. With six people behind the counter cooking, this task should have been complete much faster. My food was cold and I also found a piece of hair on my plate, which was not mine. When I went to the counter to tell them, the 2 girls both said "its not mine". I didnt care whos it was, I was not going eat the food. So I stood at the counter and the 1st girl, was like "do you want another quesadilla". Duh, I waited for 20 minutes to get it the 1st time. I will NEVER eat there again and I will NEVER recommend this place to anyone.

I had FANTASTIC customer service here last week. We were going out of town the next day, wanted an easy but delicious meal so I didnt have to cook. I went online and attempted to order our meal while also using a coupon code. The online order wouldnt subtract the amount for the coupon, so I called the store directly. Sam, who I later found out was a GM, took my order on the phone and it was ready for us when I arrived. My mother had never had it and loved everything we ordered! She is now a new fan and a new customer because of the great experience we had. It was such a hectic night, and this was such a blessing to receive when they did not have to do that for us.

Cashier at drive-thru tells me my card chip is not working, I suggested she swipe instead, she said its not working that way either, but theres an ATM at walgreens I really didnt want to have to go to walgreens so I decided to go inside. Surprise my chip was working fine. So the order was wrong, I paid for a regular sized tropichop and got a small, guy behind counter switches the small portion to a large sized container and added some lettuce on the rest of the empty container, puts it back in my bag. Not the best experience, and it seems to happen every time I go.

The portions of steak are extremely small and sometimes the chicken too. Today the steak was cold, extra thin and flavorless. The yucca was delicious and the bread. The staff at the register was friendly and knowledgeable about the menu. The chimichurry was too sour and the color more yellow than green. Update: went with the family today, Carlos was helpful and have us better options for our order. The chicken was fresh and juicy (refer to the pics). The place was clean and plenty of sitting space.

I love the food there but the manager is the worst! I called to place an order and I was told to go online, I did but the website was down so I called back and he said they were too busy to take the order. I asked to speak to the manager but to my surprise he was the manager. He was totally rude! My co worker went there to order the food and he was told they were too backed up to place a large order (we just wanted two family meals). You just lost a regular customer.
