So my friends and i go inside, right? And were like yo sick this place looks aesthetic af, so we pop a squat at the table. The dude offered to pull up another table which was like pretty chill of him but we were like nah fam. Then we look at the menu and we were like yo what do any of these words mean and so i just got me a salad. Yo this salad straight sucked. Dry af like this isnt California we have water here. Like why im payin $15 for some bleached chicken? I mean like it was fun and all cause we were just trappin trappin trappin, but like, on some real levels i enjoyed the lemon that came with my meal more than my meal, like that aint okay. So yeah, overpriced and not good food. One of the workers heard us talkin bout how awful it was as he was givin us a pair of sunglasses that we left tho, so that was pretty lunchy. 2/5 for the lunch-ass experience.

I used Le Pain Quotidien Catering services and worked with Elizabeth Shaw, Mid-Atlantic Catering Manager and Kibret, server. From start to finish, it was a flawless experience. The food was excellent, the set up was tasteful, the price was just right, and Kibret was a wonderful server. When I first called, Elizabeth got in touch with me very quickly, discussed all possible menu options and her suggestions were very helpful. The day before the party she got in touch as promised and came on time. She helped with the set up, made sure everything was perfect. Kibret then took over and was a thoughtful and assiduous server for the next few hours. The party went very well thanks to Elizabeth and Kibret and of course Le Pain Quotidien Catering. Thanks for helping us have one of our best party experiences ever!

Id never been to a Le Pain Quotidien before, and found it to be a little [pseudo] classy for my taste. Clientele seem to have an air of sophistication about them; so I felt out of place. Latte was good, vegan blueberry muffin was good (except it stuck to the muffin paper so bad I had to cut it off). The worst part of stopping in here for a quick afternoon coffee was the guy behind the counter. We had to repeat our order twice because he wasnt listening, didnt make eye contact, and didnt bother to say "hold on a second" so he could look at us like human beings and take our order. When I went back up to ask for a napkin and a fork, he got the napkin, and forgot the fork. How difficult is such a request? He was simply too wrapped up in whatever he was doing to care. Would try a different coffee shop next time.

We came here on a Sunday for Brunch. We are big fans of the food at Le Pain Quotidien but the service is always an issue. This location is no different. Nobody seemed interested in serving our table, when they finally arrived they were disorganized. We were never given place settings until after our food arrived. The coffee my husband ordered was cold....you get the idea. The only redeeming quality of this location is the kitchen puts out tasty food. The omelets we ordered were hot and enjoyable. Unfortunately, the rest of the experience was bad enough to prevent us from returning. If you are looking for a better location in DC on a Sunday, try the Pain Quotidien on 17th Street near the White House. Quieter and much better service.

The service was ok, the waiter was very nice and courteous but due to being sparsely staffed the service suffered. The food was fantastic, we had the best French toast and omelette (ham and Gruyere). The mocha was wonderful and coffee tasted rich without being bitter. The giant chocolate chip cookie is one of the best cookies Ive ever had. This place has awesome atmosphere and fantastic food. I would recommend this place to anyone. Its a bit pricey but I would say worth it for the quality that you get. You dont get a giant pile of food you get the perfect amount for a breakfast that leaves you satisfied without feeling stuffed. Its not cheap and its not fast so if you want that dont come here.

I love Le Pain Quotidien. However the Carroll Square has some tightening to do. We ordered 2 Belgium hot chocolates and got two cups of hot milk instead (with two different spoons one of which was a soup spoon). Apparently they were out of the chocolate, so they just decided to serve us some hot milk. We returned the drinks and a very polite gentlemen apologized and offered us replacement drinks. The staff was slow, indifferent and seemed not very professional. The walls are dirty. Not really a place I would like to come again. The three stars are only due to the polite gentlemen.

First of all, I really like Le Pain Quotedien. I love their pastries and breakfast is absolutely amazing. But service is awful. I dont know why they hire such incompetent stuff which drags the whole business down. I have ordered simply a latte and batista was having a hard time to get me the latte I have requested. I said whole milk, she said almond? Ive asked 175 degrees she gave me lukewarm latte. And at the end she was giving me faces like its my fault. I am not even talking about that she didnt even smile nor was looking at me and acted like she was having a bad day.

Ended up at this restaurant as the waffle place down the street had a line out of the front door waiting to be seated. This turned out to be an excellent second choice. I felt like I was eating very healthily thanks to the salad, wild mushroom omelet, and the fresh breads. The french toast was also excellent. Service was average, they forgot part of my order, but they corrected it without any fuss. Good breakfast place, probably even better if with a regular group of people that you wanted to sit down with for awhile and talk to.

Took my family for brunch on Saturday morning before we visit the local museums. The menu is authentic euro-Belgian fare but for the service that we received and the quality of the food and beverage it is over priced. When we arrived there many empty tables that had not been cleared so we had to sit at a dirty table that was not cleared for several minutes after we arrived. We received horrible, extremely slow service. We were served luke warm & weak coffee, cold waffles and cold French toast. I cannot recommend this restaurant.

I enjoyed last time I had dinner here with good portion and ingredients for about $14. Today when I went for lunch with family. The portion of dishes we ordered were extremely small. The prices were same as when I had dinner. For example, their "open sandwich" was a thin sliced whole grain toast with slices of avocado, a thin sliced turkey meat, a pinch of arugula for around $13. Other one with smoked salmon was $14.99 Good food but definitely not worth over $10 a plate.

My husband and I are visiting fromSan Diego and had breakfast this morning. We both chose the oatmeal with banana and walnuts. Just delicious . Service was excellent. Then later tonite we went back for a light dinner.. Same great experience. Good super healthy, fresh , organic and delicious food. Our waiter Jacques was a gem. Even though he was by himself, he handled all patrons with efficiency, friendliness and an amazing energy. We will be back.
