This review is based on UberEats. My office wanted to go with Tex-Mex for our meeting and decided to go with Alero. WRONG CHOICE!!! Most people ordered quesadillas, some wanted sour cream, others did not, some wanted extra guac, and others just wanted them how they are normally served. Two ordered wanted to add spinach to their quesadillas. Well one ordered didnt come with any spinach and the other came with raw spinach on the side. WHAT!?!?!?! What logical sense would have you put raw spinach on the side when spinach quesadillas is an actual menu item?!?! Then that order requested no sour cream or pico, but add extra guac. Instead it came with sour cream and nothing else??? There was a salad ordered and we asked for extra dressing on the side, instead the salad came with NO dressing. My co-workers also said the sour cream tasted like ranch dressing??? I contacted the restaurant to speak with them about the mistakes with our order, they were unapologetic and tried to make it seem like they couldnt see the special requests. However, they contradicted themselves by saying they saw that we requested no dressing. They also got some of the orders correct with the sides so how is it you cant see the special requests? LIES!!!! Instead of them correcting the issue, they made effort in taking responsibility for the mistakes. Where is the customer service?!?! A good restaurant would offer to send the correct food, at least attempt to rectify the problem. Nope, not Alero! Since they were no help, I contacted Uber and explained the situation. Well Ubers solution was to give us a $5 credit. No offer to contact Alero on our behalf, no offer to maybe offer a larger credit/refund on a $115 order. Just a $5 credit and a sorry. Well I have given them my feedback via the Uber app and am writing this review. If you want you food done correctly or great customer service, dont order from here. Dont do it!!!

I went with a group of 12 people to this restaurant . We had a waiter named Oscar . He was the worst waiter I have ever had in my life . He messed up half our meals and never apologized.he would contradict us and tell us that we were wrong . When we told him he messed up our Orders he would smirke and laugh . When our receipt was giving to us , we noticed that he overcharged us , he didnt take out the orders that he messed up on so the bill came up really high . He didnt even check to see if the receipt was correct . I felt very disrespected and it was the worst customer service . I used to be a waitress , so I know how to treat customers . When I got out to a restaurant and I am wrong , I admitted . But in this case, he was wrong and basically laughed at the whole situation . I will not be returning here again and neither will my other friends .

Would not consider this an authentic Mexican spot, the food is overpriced and not even taste like Mexican, starting when you walk in I wasnt even greeted the waitress named Laura she just gave us the eye and I had to basically tell her myself we were a party of 2 and needed a table, then the whole time she was just rude, when we wanted to get half pitcher of Pina colada I asked if it had good liquor in it she went like just order Margaritas but we still ordered what we wanted the Pina coladas. The entire dinner felt kinda she has this funny face looking at customers we wanted to take home my friends leftovers a d she made this I cant believe it face as if we couldnt do what we want with out food we are paying for. ALERO restaurant NOT WORTH YOUR MONEY.

Love this place. We went to a different location for my bachelorette party and have come here for the last two years running for our annual holiday team outing for work. The staff are friendly and attentive, the margaritas are superb, the guacamole is delicious--and thats coming from someone who doesnt usually like guac--and the fajitas are really something. They come with plenty of fillings and the cheese is included, which is always a plus for me! The table chips are crunchy and yummy, but the chips that come with the guacamole are worth writing home about. Seriously, so good. I do wish the salsa was served warm, but thats my only complaint. Definitely worth a visit.

Went to this location with a girlfriend after a Flywheel class. So it was midday on a Sunday. Pretty empty. We were quite hungry, and were having a reunion of sorts, so we were very happy with the beverages and the brunch items (I may have ordered off the lunch menu). The food was well-done - perhaps nothing to write home about, but hit the spot. Service was good. It was a slow day and a slow time for them, so it was largely just us in the restaurant, but we were happy with it.

Dont waste your money in this place. Service terrible, when I asked what kind of vegetables the chicken soup has, he said cucumber and beets, waiter didnt know the ingredients of the food. They dont accommodate people, when we asked for separate checks since the beginning, the waiter said no. Like if he didnt have F computer and its easy to do nowadays. In general, the food is mediocre, go to the Thai Chef restaurant on the same block, much better food.

Fried Ice Cream (4/5 NOMs) Lets get frycream. Exploring some fried desserts from Mexican restaurant in Dupont Circle, DC. Oh yea now thats the way to serve up ice cream. Nice big ball of fried ice cream goodness, crunchy on the outside and softly cold on the inside. Served on top of a sweet crunchy tortilla with honey all over for that extra sweetness. Its no small scoop so make sure to share with a friend or you just might have diabetic shock.

The food was OK, but nothing spectacular ... the service left a lot to be desired as well. We had to ask for refills on water and tortilla chips. It was sort of as if once the waiter realized we were not having drinks, we were forgotten? The atmosphere was festive and the place is a bit noisy ... definitely not the place to bring someone youre attempting to impress, but OK to get your Mexican Food fix.

Great! Customer service. My family had a long day at the hospital and were looking for something to eat and go. We came across Alero after the first restaraunt on the corner was close. We went in exhausted from a long day. Just ready to eat and go but the customer service to so good we decided to stay. Long story short... Come and get your life in. Thanks Alero....

This small restaurant is great. The atmosphere is happy, the staff are attentive, and the food is good. We had a table of four, but larger groups were also seated. The bathrooms were reasonable. The diners were a mixed crowd, from families with small kids to a table of frat brothers. Overall, this was a good experience and we will recommend Alero to others.

Wir haben das Restaurant eher zufällig gefunden. Das Essen war super lecker. Das Lokal scheint wirklich sehr im Trend zu liegen. Wir waren hoch zufrieden!!!!

The food and margaritas were good, but the service was awful. Our waiter only visited our table a couple times, and we ended up waiting for a long time to order food. The food came out promptly, but then when we were trying to leave we couldnt find our waiter to pay our bill. It wasnt busy so the bad service was inexcusable.
