Jakes does have awesome burgers - one of my favorites. However, their service sucks especially lately. Each visit I have small dumb things that continue to happen that are building up. My worst experience was that I used a $50 gift card for the first time. The cashier (for whatever reason) cashed out the entire $50 despite the order was around $22. I didnt realize this and returned weeks later to use the rest of the gift card. It didnt have any money according to Jakes & their third party company that handled the gift card. So I lost the $28, and the cashier may have stolen it. My second annoying experience was that I placed an online order that included chili cheese fries. My friend returned with cheese fries and were billed that way on the store receipt. But my debit card was billed for the chili fries, which are an extra $2. There are plenty of other service issues that are aggravating. This includes no ice tea in the container, ketchup bottles empty at my table and all surrounding tables, not just cold but hard fries, and longer than normal wait for food on a quiet night... this was all in one night.The cashier forgets to give me drink cups or gives me a drink cup instead of bottle water as ordered. I truly enjoy Jakes food. I will patronize the other Jakes but no longer the Middletown store. Anybody going to the Middletown restaurant should keep an eye on the cashiers, what they ring up, and what they give you.

Really bad service. Placed a $150+ order, they only gave me 1/3 of it. The "manager" tried to give me coupons clipped from the paper to make up for the fact I had to wait 45 minutes past my pickup time. They didnt hustle at all to get the food out that they forgot. The "manager" gave some lame excuse about their printer malfunctioning. Jakes ruined our lunch, offered no real compensation, and the food was terrible and cold. Avoid this location at all costs. I know I will. Get a clue, Jakes.

Horrible experience.....Had purchased a voucher online from double take offers, went to the location on Fathers Day to redeem it and was turned away at the counter and told, we are not honoring that. How embarrassing to be standing there at the counter with your family and being turned away, on Fathers Day no less!...... Double Take and Jakes Wayback Burgers....Shame on you!

Ten bucks gets you a burger and fries. Idk seems a little steep to me for essentially a fast food joint burger. The dude at the counter said the meat is never frozen and the burger was pretty good and filling. Even though the meat itself was lacking flavor. All in all it wasnt bad but not completely worth 10$ lower the prices just a touch and Id be in way more often.

I came here tonight and there was a good crowd. The manager was using a portable point of sale and he was taking orders very quickly. There was a cashier who took my payment and my order arrived quickly and accurately. It was very good and I would rate this visit consistent with other times that I have been here as well. Good food.

Would of been better if the LOUD mouth girl could be quiet for more than 30 seconds. She talked non stop. If i had a couple extra dollars i would of bought her a burger to keep her mouth occupied...

A more handmade feel to a burger joint. Menu is pretty limited, but the burgers are good, they have good onion rings, and surprisingly good shakes -- banana and creamsicle flavors recommended.

Highly recommend this place. We stubbed upon this restaurant and Zach H. of Middletown, DE guided us thru menu. Lunch was excellent & the Milkshakes were the best. I go with Oreo Mint

I work here and the food is very good and the employees are very nice and friendly. The managers are always willing to talk to you if there are any problems. I would recommend.

Theyve always had great burgers and for folks that work at the airport, one of the few places to get a quick, decent lunch to go. However, they appear to have closed.
