Where do I begin. I should have started by not entering this restaurant...again. Our family of seven was seated immediately. The hostess barely said 2 words as we were seated. Our waiter Omar did not speak much at all. He appeared to be disinterested in is as customers and in his job. 2 of our meals were wrong and had to be sent back. Staff could be heard yelling in the kitchen over the repeatedly wrong orders. I asked for a margarita and never received it. We waited 30 minutes for refills that never appeared. When we asked about them he said," Ill get back to you." When our waiter realized we were leaving he ran and tried to slide 3 drinks on the table and then followed us up front to make sure we paid. That was the most action we saw of him all evening. None of the staff seemed to care. At one point we raised our hands (yes ...like little children in class) to get attention and service. Its obvious that not only was the food overpriced but that the staff cares only about revenue and Not customer service. It was a very lousy experience.

Where do I begin..this has to be the worst experience I have had at one of the la tonalteca establishments. I usually love the food. But this particular locations food was subpar, rice was hard, carnitas were mostly fat, with no seasoning. My husband ordered a side of rice with his meal and it never came. When we asked the waitress to bring it she said okay and still never brought it. She spent most of her time at the front talking with another staff member. The service was awful, usually Im understanding if the place is really busy and the waitress forgets something, but that was not the case, the place was practically empty and the waitress showed no interest in doing her job. My advice, dont go to this location it has poor service and the food is not good either.

Went with group of 11 on may 5 and food was okay but service was non existant, food came in groups of 2 ND 3 with 2 people not getting thiers until the rest of us were done. 1 person didnt get his until we were ready to go, and then they brought out in a Togo box and of course he wanted to eat there. So once again he waited for it. Then came time for the checks, by this time our waiter of one day experience left out the front door. Manager prepared check and screwed that up. 3 hours for on hour meal. Never again. As a warning at one point they set down wrong order 3 plates and when we told them they were not ours they picked them up and delivered them to the correct table. They where on our table for a few minutes.

Taking 2 stars away for the complete language barrier when calling the take out order in. Multiple times I had to ask the employee to repeat what she said, and even had to re tell my order as she kept mistaking what I said for something completely different. Made a 2 minute call turn into 5+. Timing of food prep was moderate, for 830 on a Saturday night. Quality of food was good, and normally always is, and quite consistent. Will continue going back.

Went on a Sunday for lunch, party of 6... Main course was cold, never offered a refill - on water. Food was average according to me and my friends. First impression at Mexican restaurants other than the atmosphere is the chips and salsa... Salsa was more like a tomato paste Id expect for pasta than a dip for tortilla chips. Decoration, however, was vibrant and lively. I did enjoy that. Not bad overall, but I will not be going back.

My first and last time here. I visited this restaurant last night and was given a dish that I didnt like. I was told by the manager that I could get something else but I will still have to pay for the first order. I refused to pay, they told me that was their policy. I will never go back, If a customer orders something and is not to their liking, it should be returned. Will be checking with Better Business Bureau. Horrible service

I ordered a Texas Fajita, unfortunately I couldnt find the fajita taste anywhere . I asked the waitress to do something about it. She was pleasant but later came to my table a man known as Victor who argued with me as if I was pretending I did not like the dish. Im really unhappy with the cooking in this place. I should have pay more attention to their 3 star rating. Thank goodness Iwas not charged for the meal.

The food here is GREAT. But unfortunately, our server was completely incompetent. He might have been 14 at the oldest and had no idea what he was doing. He clearly has had no restaurant training and was all over the place. We could barely understand him and he obviously could not understand what we were saying. Very unfortunate because the food is really worth the drive for us!

Always an enjoyment coming here. Sometimes the service could be a bit better, but the food is always good. Great atmosphere. During peak times it can be a bit busy, but if you dont mind eating an hour or two away from normal eating times then most of the time it is quite and can be intimate. Great Mexican Restaurant!

This place has a great atmosphere, but the things it lacks in are taste and service. The food in general was the definition of "...meh..." Our server didnt speak English or understand the menu. Our drinks were not refilled one time, and we never received our queso. Alright place, but dont waste your money here.

The food here is good, with a large variety in the menu. The fajitas are very good and several varieties are available. The service the last two visits has been slow without the crowd to justify a wait. The waitstaff seems disinterested. It has not been enough to say we wont go back, but disappointing.

Growing up in the south west Im a huge fan of Mexican and tex-mex... This was terrible I would not recommend this to anyone I know. If youve never had Mexican food you might enjoy this. The service was okay, nothing to stand out good or bad; just very low quality of food.

Took a long time for our server to show up once we were seated and there only a few other customers in the restaurant. We almost left. When the server showed up my wife told him of our displeasure. After that service was very good and the food was good.

Really cute ambiance. Friendly staff, but it would be better if they could understand me. Waitress couldnt answer simple questions I had pertaining to the menu. Large menu, many things to pick from. Restaurant always smells like cleaning products.

Best authentic mexican food . Atmosphere and decor are a ten! Fast service and reasonable prices . Always recommend this place. Grateful to have them in Delaware! Decor is awesome. Place is pretty big. Highly recommend. Enjoy!
