I was so excited when Chipotle finally came to Middletown, however, that excitement has sadly disappeared. There were no complaints within the first few months of them opening (I visited maybe once/twice a week). Everyone was so nice and on top of things, the food was fully stocked and everything looked clean. Within the past 2 months, I have visited only twice due to my recent poor experiences. Back in September, my husband and I came in on a Sunday (9/18) around 4ish-pm. They had NOTHING. No wraps, no chicken (that was cut up yet), no beef, no white rice, no beans.. I felt so bad for the girl just coming on her shift that was being so nice as I saw her frantically running around looking for ingredients as the other two girls stood in line and said "yeahhh thats why Im happy Im leaving in 20 min.." Not to mention, the cook in back just stood there looking dumb founded the entire time. I mean, how do you run out of tortillas when you serve burritos... I was ruined after that and said I would never go back. Today, I decided to give it another try.. "maybe that was just a fluke and management was poor"... "maybe its changed since then".. What happened today? Well they had no beans and no beef (that was ready), AND the girls in the front line were extremely rude! Not to mention they just slopped all my food onto the tray and acted like everything I asked for was an inconvenience. Also, the burritos were not labeled with what meats they were so I had to play a guessing game when I got home. I am not one to write bad reviews but my disappointment is on a whole other level with this location. I will be taking the trip to Christiana Mall when I want my Chipotle fix from now on because yeah... its that worth it to not go here...

I am a long time Chipotle lover, I will probably eat at a Chipotle once or twice every two weeks. Normally Ill go to the Newark (Main St) location just because its much closer to where I live. But on Saturday 7/16/2016 A friend and I decided to stop at the new Middletown location while out running errands. The food was good as it usually is but the quantity that was given SUCKED.... the amount of rice barely covered the bottom..i asked for extra barbacoa, in my opinion it was just a regular scoop. I had to ask 3 times for more mild salsa and was only given a little sprinkle of cheese. now at the main st location...when removing the lid to my bowl food would be falling out...and i wouldnt be able to stir it. at the middletown location it was the opposite. Ate my bowl and still was hungry and feeling ripped off. get it together mtown...not going back to this chipotle.

As many others, I was excited that chipotle came to middletown so I didnt have to drive to dover. But I was highly disappointed in what I had yesterday. I ordered burritos with rice, steak, and sour cream. The rice wasnt cooked all the way as it still was hard. The steak was way too salty (I couldnt even finish it because thats all I could taste was salt) and I had more fat in the bites I did take than steak. When I asked for extra rice and double steak, the girl got an attitude like I was taking more than I should (which shouldnt matter because you pay for the extras anyways). Then the other girl who wrapped my burritos did a horrible job. They didnt stay tucked and had ingredients falling out all over the place. My over all experience was horrible and I will not be going back. Id rather drive to dover where the food is better along the with staff and experience.

Update: Theyve stepped up their game. From 2 to 4 stars. I was in August 8th about 3:15.. The tables were dirty I counted 10 of 15 with scraps on them. As I looked into the chicken, a woman was chewing gum while mixing salsa with her hands, she did have gloves on. The chewing was a real turn off. Then a woman paying picked up a paperlined basket that fell, her bare hands was in the paper. When I got to the register I asked "What are the baskets used for?" "Chips" "You think you ought to throw that away, because that lady had her hand in it?" "Well we put wrapped burritos in them too." "Maybe you ought to throw it away for sanitary reasons?!" A smile and an "ok"... Yeah and the portion was pretty small. The rice didnt cover the bottom of the bowl.. I asked and was told they do one scoop but I could have more.

Ive been waiting a very long time for the store to open and I am disappointed the overall quality of food isnt the best. Although my food was very cold, the rice was crunchy, and my chips were wet and very salty the staff were very helpful and polite. I tried calling the store to provide them with feedback before posting my comments here; however they dont appear to have a published contact number.

There was hardly any meat in the hot table pans, that is when I should have walked out, but no I ordered and it wasnt even hot or appetizing. Will never go to a Chipolte again. I had the burrito and it should have been really big when stuffed with all the ingredients, but only half the size it should have been. I really think it is a zero star rating.

It suck tonight. Had to repeat my one burrito order 4 times. And they still messed it up. Ask for small drink cup . And they forgot to give me the cup. Had to ask for it after payong for it. There were 7 people on the line joking with each other instead of paying attention to my order.

Been twice in two months and both times have run out of ingredients... called manager and basically said there is nothing they can do if they do not have the ingredients. I am not in the food industry but is that not the point in inventory management.

I think they over salted the rice..I was shock...no salt in the rice please..my husband took it up to counter and told the..they made me another but I couldnt eat it...chicken was burned and I told then I didnt want heat...it 2as to spicy...

I typically like Chipotle. Im not sure if this franchise has changed the cooking techniques. Most of the time the food is overcooked. Ive been disappointed twice , they are a new place so Ill give them some time to get themselves together.

I love Chipotle the chain, but this particular location is my least favorite. The portions never seem to be right, the food quality is inconsistent, and freshness is lacking. Really disappointing...
