Weve tried this place twice now when visiting Dover, and I think it will become a regular stop. Everything we ordered was well-prepared and hot. And the service was excellent; our server this last time was Patrice and she was most attentive, checking on us several times during our meal. We can recommend the ribs, the chicken, the pulled pork, and definitely the onion loaf. The onion loaf is huge, even the half size it supposedly is to serve only one or two people. We couldnt believe our eyes, we thought they had served us the large by accident. The onion loaf is terrific, the onions or thinly sliced and lightly battered and perfectly fried throughout. Even the inside of the loaf is still crispy and lacey, not gummy or soft. The Dover food scene is lucky to have Where Pigs Fly!

Pleasant atmosphere, Wait staff was nice, if but a bit inattentive. Do yourself a favor, dont expect much from the BBQ Sauce, it was very bland, and a bit tart. My wifes Baked Potato was dark brown on the inside, the Beef brisket was tough and chewy, and had the appearance of being steamed to death. Still waiting for the Hickory taste to kick in! Coleslaw was better then average, as well as the Mac & Cheese. But Ill Have to say the Onion Loaf was excellent. Its much like a Tumbleweed Onion, dipped in batter and deep fried. Although we did not try the "PIG", but if it was any indication of what we had, I cant see it as being any better then the tomato sauce and vinegar BBQ sauce we had. Too bad, I was really hoping it was going to be good =(

I visited here with a friend from a foreign country that had never been in the US before. I had been treated (and fed) very well in his country and thought taking him to eat some good ol USofA BBQ would be a great thing. It may well have been a good idea, but it just shouldnt have been at this place. The brisket I had was mushy, like it had been boiled rather than smoked. I cant even remember much about the sides of note other than the beans were the best part of the meal and the corn bread wasnt overly dry. My friend had nothing to compare it to, but I could see from the look on his face that he was disappointed. I hope some day to take him somewhere to eat REAL BBQ!

It was different. The corn bread was delicious. The flounder dish I received was over cooked. However, my beans and fries were good. My husband said he liked his baby back ribs. My daughter didnt like their mac and cheese and I cant blame her. It didnt look very pleasing to the eye. The people their seem nice however, once you get your food. Thats it. No refills unless we asked and no seeing if we needed anything else such as a box or any desserts. Just slap the checked down and kept walking. But seem in a rush to get their money. We will most likely not be returning. The food was a hit and miss and the serves wasnt great.

Best BBQ in the Dover DE area. Let me start by saying get the buffalo wings if you want an app. The cornbread was so fluffy and moist that the extra slab of butter on top was just icing on the cake. I had the brisket an onion loaf sandwich which was nice cuts of juicy beef brisket in their bbq sauce with a huge fried onion ring. The fries were good but no the best Ive had. My Fiancee had the pulled pork platter with cinnamon apples and Mac and cheese. The portions are great and the price is super cheap. While the decor needs some sprucing up, the service was lacking as well.

Ordered the Cream of Crab Soup, Ribs, and Pulled Pork Sandwich. I was not impressed with the soup, but it was not at all bad- just a little bland. The pulled pork was great, and I highly recommend getting Hot Cinnamon Apples as a side to whatever you get. They are delicious. The service was nice, refilled glasses promptly and was very polite. WARNING. That vending machine will only yield sadness. Not plushies will be won from there! I would come back, and I recommend anyone to visit for a calm atmosphere and good food.

The burgers are ok but the BBQ is horrible. The pork was wet like it had been boiled instead of smoked. When I asked about it, they said that its wet because of how they store the meat. The sauce is a weak sweet sauce. They have am option for a sweeter sauce that must be pure sugar, but nothing spicy. One of my kids ordered a hot ham sandwich, part of the meat was hot, part was still cold. Not a BBQ place that I will return to. I will say that the server was polite.

So the ribs were way overcooked and stuck to the bone my pulled pork sandwich came out cold TWICE so I said screw it n just ate it...the cornbread tastes like cheap cake and was overly dry... the decor is ancient and needs a remodel....the only good things that came out were the fries the sweet baked potato and the jalapeño poppers (hot bites they are called n tasted like they were precooked) Id rate this place a 2 out of 5...would not recommend this place..

I have had both good and bad experiences here. The food is so-so and I have heard that if you go, you have to go before 3pm or you get sloppy dishes and poor service....I guess the management leaves and then it is party time. The one time I went for dinner we waited 35 minutes for our meal, when I asked for a refill on my sweet tea, instead of having sugar, someone had put salt in it. About 4 other tables around me had the same thing happen.

Not anywhere close to the bbq Im used to. The only thing I enjoyed from eating here is that they served our drinks in mason jars. The food was not good, neither my husband or I finished our food. With all the hype about this place we had high hopes...were from around the Kansas city area so we were really hoping for a new bbq place that we would be anywhere close to home.

This was a fantastic place to eat. My family and I are from Chicago and visiting my sister in law, that lived in Dover. We picked this place because I wanted ribs for dinner. The experience was nothing less than awesome. We were a party of 9 last night, our waitress was fantastic, and the food was great. I would definatey recommend this place to anyone.

I stop there whenever Im in Dover. The pulled pork is excellent. I went there for lunch today. They were slammed, but they got me a table very quickly. I was served before I fired off my first email. Both the pulled pork and Memphis fries were very good. The host was very friendly. Like another reviewer said, one of the few local places in town.

I have had better experiences here in the past. The broccoli salad is still my favorite. Unfortunately my wifes salad had browning lettuce and her fries were chewy from sitting to long. We were supposed to get a bread loaf before the main entre but it didnt come until we were done eating. There were only three other tables with guests.
