Gf and I walked by and upon hearing the Fresh Prince of Bel Air theme song blasting through the speakers, decided we had to give this place a try. We asked for a menu which wasnt available, so we opted to taking a picture of the menu posted on the wall instead. I decided on the beef brisket on brioche with a side of kimchi potatos, fries, and a brew. While she had the BBQ chicken sandwich with a side of brussel sprouts and strawberry lemonade. Once we placed our order which amounted to roughly $41.87, a young man whom Id assume was the cook only because I saw him manning the grill earlier came up to the counter, pointed at my shirt which had an emblem of a certain game Im fond of and said, "You like that? Get the f*** out!" My gf later informed me of what he had said. If I would have known at the time I would have requested my money back and promptly, "gotten the f*** out of there." We sit at the table and wait the 15ish minutes for the food to arrive. Im going to cut to the chase. The beef brisket looked and tasted as if it was half chewed, and then regurgitated onto the bed of Cole slaw on my brioche. It was lukewarm and had absolutely no flavor whatsoever. The potato salad was unsalted and lacking flavor as well. The only good part of the meal was the french fries, and the brew. Her BBQ chicken was actually quite tasteful, cept the menu didnt indicated in any way whatsoever that it would be served on a bed of Cole slaw (which contains ingredients that an expecting woman shouldnt eat). The brussel sprouts were in her words, "amazing," & the lemonade was actually quite delicious. Normally I wouldnt take the time to leave a review of such distaste, but the cook had poor manners and should have not spoken to a new customer formulating his first opinions of their establishment like that. And the food wasnt to die for.

This place was on my way back to my office and Im all about trying new food spots. Found this place on google. I havent tried the Smoked Meats or Platters so this review doesnt pertain to them. The sandwich (Swine & Slaw) tasted great (rate it at 8/10) but was about the size of a McChicken if not smaller. It was supposed to come with a side of Corn Bread but I was disappointed to find that they had forgotten to put it in my bag before I picked up the food (had already gone back to my office). I called to notify them and they did offer me a refund but I did not think it was fair to get a refund just for a side. Plus it would require me to go back to the place since I payed cash. The appetizer (Duck Gravy Poutine) was a reasonable size and tasted OK but wasnt anything special (rate it at 6/10). Overall I was a little disappointed with the service. Besides them forgetting my side, it took me about 6 attempts to finally reach the place about the missing side. They dont have a system set up for the line to receive multiple calls. Im just going to assume this isnt norm for this place with all the good reviews but i guess **** happens.

Simply Amazing! My friends (from Puerto Rico) and I (New Jersey) went to Tarrytown for a wedding and we wanted to explore the town and find a nice place to eat. We stumbled upon Pik Nik and it was the best stumble ever!!!!! The owner of the restaurant was amazing, customer service was unbelievably good! Now, the food... WOW!!!!! Honestly, I would travel from NJ to NY to eat at PIK NIK again!!! I definitely recommend it to all my family and friends. You will not regret it. PS: The Mac and Cheese and Pork was soooooo goood!!!!!!!!

Huge menu of BBQ meats and sides both classics and some new stuff. Went late on Friday, pretty much sold out of everything, ended up ordering the sausage which was delicious, great balance of spice. Corn bread and collard greens were great, the greens were probably half meat. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Slightly pricier but can see a lot of effort goes into their food. Will definitely come back to try their other meats, will probably have to go as soon as it opens.

Great atmosphere and great food! We will be going again in the very near future!

Fantastic BBQ. There real treat here is the huge selection of delicious side items. Not only is there traditional favorites like baked beans, coleslaw, and collard greens, but interesting twists like pineapple solar, gigantic beans, Brussels sprouts, and more. Not sure if youll like a side? Not only will you be granted a sample on asking, but you might just get a sample while you wait.

Yuck!! The short rib special was a glob of fat on a bone. When I told the manager, she was like, "oh, you just happened to get a bad order." Like they couldnt see they were offering a globby mass of fat for dinner?? She offered us some brisket instead, but by then we were too queasy for more. And the collard greens werent so great either. Dont get fooled by ambience!!

This place is small but super popular, and for good reason! Lots of meat options, side options, and drink options, and even though they were crazy busy the staff and waiters were more than happy to take time to explain everything to us first time visitors. In our group we had the 3-meat plate, multiple sides, and two different sandwiches. Highly recommend everything!

Awesome BBQ! I had a massive craving for BBQ, and went on Friday night at 8pm, however they were out of basically everything! This time we went on Sunday right when they opened, I got the brisket platter with Mac and cheese, and cornbread. It was awesome! My girlfriend got the pork tacos, which were really good too! Definitely a do over!

Big belly cuban sandwich (belly pork and mozzarella) with sweet potato fries and st louis ribs and fries. Out of this world food lost a star because the staff could have been more attentive and efficient but well worth visiting for the food. First visit to the USA for us so first place we ate in the USA and it was a great choice

From South Carolina, from a BBQ fanatic family. Visited on a Sunday evening and they were out of most everything on the menu at 7 PM. John Browns in LIC (Kansas City Style) is the best Ive yet to find in this area.
