The Starboard is a Dewey Beach institution. Ive been going for 27 years and it successfully caters to folks of all ages. I started hanging out as a single guy. Now I take the family. The main change is what time I leave. These summers we stop in for dinner and thats about all. But its a hopping joint with good food year round. The burgers are huge and delicious. The jerk chicken cobb salad is amazing. They have a solid kids menu. And the peel and eat shrimp are great. Great selection of draft beers and every cocktail you can imagine. If you go with the family and kids on a busy summer weekend, be sure to ask for inside seating. Less noise. If you only visit Dewey one time, be sure to stop in. If youre a regular, well you already know the drill.

Head bouncer (overweight man with beard) was extremely disrespectful. Other bouncers confirmed our identification. After the disrespectful bouncer, we spoke to police officials and they confirmed our identification was legitimate. The bouncer wouldnt allow us on the property and refused to admit he was wrong about his initial reactions despite being told by police officials that they were real. I told him I had no issues with him not letting us in for other reasons but to admit his false accusation of false identification and he wouldnt. Beware of the bouncers here. While some of them are reasonable, there are a select few who expect to get their ass kissed to be allowed in, even if you are well above the legal age.

Awful!! We were informed that there was a 20 minute wait for tables. We entered our name, and stood by waiting for our turn. After 30 minutes we inquired to the hostess (the one running the electronic seating device) when we may be seated. She assured us we were next. In the meantime, as more time elapsed we watched 3 more groups be seated ahead of us. We inquire to girl another time, and notice on the electronic chart they have us listed as a no show. We were standing with in five feet of the hostess stand over 1 hour and 10 minutes. Wont be back anytime soon....just not worth the time.

Food is always excellent and service is usually ok but today service was the worst. Our waitress ally never came to check on is and we asked another waitress for refills and was told she wasnt our server and walked away, then we asked for a manager and the manager never came, the manager probably wasnt told we wanted to see them. Our waitress was just standing around talking to other workers the whole time. Im very dissatisfied with your establishment and workers today

Simple service, nothing special there but nothing wrong with it either. The food was great though. Really interesting selection of burgers, sandwiches, and grilled cheeses. Was somewhat hard to choose honestly. The plate of fries was good, though I was expecting more for the price paid, $10 or $11. I pictured a big mountain of fries, but we got a tray that was worth more like $6 in my eyes. Still, the food was good and there wasnt any issues.

Famous for the bloody Maries, they are fantastic, perfect spice factor, I believe there was old bay in it, nice touch. Also had the old bay and butter wings, and a Buffalo shrimp wrap, everything was very tasty. Styled with pictures of visitors on the walls, they have live performances multiple days during the week, as well as drink and appetizer happy hours and specials. Great spot to go to.

If you like great bloody marys, awesome breakfasts--eggs delmarva specifically, and the best crab cake going in town, then you have to hit this place. A ton of events seem to go on including charitable benefits. Its definitely the locals hangout in the winter with the Shark Tank open all year! Great, fun staff! The new fireplace setting on the deck is quite the hangout!

The surroundings are cool but the food is very heavy. I selected what seemed like the lighter side from available choices of breakfasts. It came with a mountain of hash brown, a heavy sauce, and thick (quarter inch) beef strips. I left half of it, but even so it stayed on my stomach the whole day. Also the staff are too focused on moving you out as quickly as possible.

Awful. We were removed from the premises because a local sports announcer was present. We have been patrons for years but because a local "celebrity" was present we were removed and banned for the evening. This place clearly does not care about its patrons and should be ashamed of itself. In other words "The Starboard should jump up its own ass and f*!#k itself."

We stopped in at bike week... looked like a fun bar. Inside is really cool has three bars. It was quiet and mid day when we went. The wings were good... the burgers were AMAZING. Big suprise... expected seafood, but burgers are killer. Each served on a neat wooden pallet. Bottled beer only no draft. Bar atmosphere inside and out. Lots of tvs

this became my favorite Dewey Beach Restaurant / Sports Bar/ Club at first it was North Beach but I got to give credit where credit is due and if you want to have fun partying, meet out of towners weather from in or out of state this the spot. they also play all types of different genres of music drinks are good and the set up of the club dope

Good Food,A Little bit rowdy but thats fine with me.Good Brunch,I went on Sunday at around 11:00 with a group of friends.The Waitress was nice and she took our order very fast and she delivered our drinks within a minute.We were all satisfied with the Food and the service and we are definitely returning here sometime in the next month

The breakfast is outstanding, especially the eggs Benedict. The burgers have some good toppings but the beef patty needs some work. A little Worcestershire sauce, salt and pepper, anything to add some flavor and juices to the party would go a long way.

Food was good, employees great, entertainment good, only reason i didnt give them 5 stars was that they brag about how great their Bloody Marys are so i ordered one and was completely disappointed with it, any beer joint makes better Bloody Marys

There for dinner only with the family. Everyone liked what they had. The crabcake and the chicken breast sandwiches were standouts. Salads were good too. A good place for sandwiches, and they do it well.

Quintessential beach bar for day drinking and fun nights. Food is dynamite and the make your own Bloody Mary bar is legendary. No trip to Dewey Beach is complete without a trip to the Starboard.

Great breakfast, service was slow but I think they had just opened. The smell was pretty bad - all the booze and whatever else from the night before. Maybe sit outside if its not too hot
