I do not like giving negative reviews, but I feel obligated to disclose the treatment my family received this evening. I brought my family of 5 children, my 2 senior citizen parents, and my wife and sister to Fins for dinner. As my sister helped my parents and middle children out of the car, I carried our toddler in with my wife. The hostess told me we could have a table right away, and then said we could not sit until the entire party was in the restaurant. I explained our impediments, and I carried our toddler out to help my parents and the other children into the restaurant. Two minutes later, she told me our table was taken and that we would have to wait at least 15 minutes. I told her that my two senior parents and 5 small children could not wait in the crowded bar for another table to open and that this was highly inconsiderate. We hiked back up the street to another restaurant that is not staffed by rude and insensitive children. We will never go back and never recommend this place to anyone. I will make sure yelp, trip advisor, and every other reputable site share this review, so no families with older grandparents or younger children are treated with this level of disrespect.

My husband and I got the crab melt, seafood fettuccine, and the clam chowder, although I thought that the clam chowder was alright my husband disliked it so much he couldnt eat it. We were very excited for crab since we dont get a lot of seafood where we are at, but the crab melt was smothered with a ton of cheese to disguise the fact that there wasnt a lot of crab at all, it also overpowered any crab flavor that may have been present at all, which for the price was completely unacceptable. The seafood fettuccine was by far the most excellent thing we ordered, the Alfredo sauce was excellent, but again there was only maybe two pieces of crab in the whole thing. Considering the price I would say there is better food for a more reasonable price in this same area.

I visited in a Monday night just before 5 with a party of 6. We were seated right away but Im sure there was a wait not shortly thereafter. The atmosphere is good; the restaurant busy but not too loud. Our party had drinks, the calamari appetizer, and platters of fried oysters, crab cakes, and a daily special fish preparation. Expect about $30 per plate. The calamari and oysters were good, the daily special seemed like the best choice, and the crab cakes were simply good. The drinks were strong. The sides were generally well done, though I thought the mashed potatoes were just OK. We had kids in the party; their meals came with cake pops for dessert and frisbees to take home, which was a nice touch. Overall, a good experience.

We had wanted to get some local fish while in Dover on a leg of our vacation on the East coast and we stumbled accross it thru our maps search and driving around down in their area. We are so glad we found it! It exceeded our expectations. The service was wonderful, it was the kind of atmosphere we were looking for, serves drinks but not a loud bar, for a Monday night, but not stuffy either. We shared a few different things, a stemer combo DELISH, the crab cake AMAZEBALLS, and the local Rockfish so fresh and perfect. We came in wanting the restaurant to satisfy in specific ways and it certainly did that and then some!

This place is outstanding! We showed up at prime dinner time on a Saturday with a party of 7 and got seated immediately. Great atmosphere. Downstairs has more of a pub feel, while upstairs has more of a restaurant feel. We were seated upstairs. The staff was very nice. Our food arrived in a timely manner - especially considering our large order - and everyone said the same thing, "Wow, this is awesome!" The food is excellent. The seafood entrees are great with big portions of crab, scallops, shrimp, clams, etc. The beer and wine selection is great. We will definitely be back next time we are in the area.

We have been to Fins several times over the years. The last two have been below par for us. First off the place is an icebox. Way too cold. Most people around us felt the same so it just wasnt us. The table next to us, someone ordered a hot tea. It was that cold. And then it dawned on us that it was the same deal last year. For the prices they charge, the food could be much better. I had a grilled tuna which was ok. My friend had the grilled bass and it was way over cooked. The best meal was my kids, fish & chips. With some many restaurant in the area, well be skipping Fins next year.

Never thought Id give 5 Stars to a place that serves Tater Tots, but here it is. We shared steamed shrimp and crab dip appetizers. Both were excellent. The shrimp were cooked perfectly and well seasoned but not so spicy that the kids wouldnt eat them. My wife said her seafood pasta was lacking flavor but my crab cakes were some of the best Ive had anywhere. We had to wait 45 mins for a table but after that the service with good. Well be adding this place to our favorites for when were at the beach.

Went to Rehoboth DE to the Dogfish Head Brew Pub and stumbled on the best bar that I’ve been to in a long time .. FINS .. Screaming fresh raw bar along with a screaming fresh micro draft selection & monstrous bottle collection along with the best bartenders on the main drag .. We instantly felt like regulars .. Or maybe that’s because we were there 3 times in 2 days.. Can’t wait to return! (Sorry Sam)

Ive enjoyed this place every year I go down to the beach. But my most recent visit was not the good. I ordered half a dozen oysters and soft shelled crab tacos. The tacos were very small for the price and didnt come with a side. I also ended up sick for the rest of the day due to the oysters and never finished my meal. Much better places to go in the area I wouldnt suggest Fins

Great seafood. I had the local mahi with dill cream sauce with tator tots and Mac and cheese as sides. Everything was fantastic and the service was great. We visited off season in November and there was no cried. Great happy hour to 6 pm at bar only. I recommend the super cheap oysters and peel and eat shrimp. Best dining experience I have had in a long time.
