We went there last week to take our young son out for something different and we wanted him to experience the "wow" of hibatchi. So we gave this place a try. It was terrible. Service was awful. We had like 4 different servers that we had to go and fetch. And the worst part was the hibatchi chef experience. He looked annoyed and rushed through it. Its not like we were just us 3, there were other famlies at the table - which even if it was just us, i think is inexcusable to rush through and do it sloppy and poorly. There was like maybe one other table in there so they should of been happy for the business. So this dude is like dragging a** and cracking the eggs like a jerk getting shells in everything. I tried to turn it around by saying cheerfully; "whats your favorite trick?" He just nodded. After nothing I asked " can you show us something cool?" thinking of my son, and he said "yes" and did nothing. So i tried to gesture because ok maybe he doesnt know english. and still nothing. he totally understood me. but he wanted it over with. When he was done and started to serve, wwhen he served me he dripped everying into my water and coke. Not only once. Had my husband go find someone to get refills. Then the hibatchi dude left, everything done within 12-15 mins. real awesome. My chicken was undercooked. Never ever will we return.

I must say I used to like this restaurant in the past, but recently all has gone wrong. There were 8 of us to celebrate my sons birthday in the end of Feb 2010. They must be having financial difficulty since their wait staff has been cut substantially and I they only had one hibachi chef on a busy weekend night. Having to ask for hot tea and sake 4 times and receiving 25 minutes after you are seated is unacceptable. Having a Hibachi chef with an attitude is no fun. We ordered three avocado salads that we wanted before the main meal. Not only were they brought out too late to eat, but also they were literally uneatable. They were disgustingly awful; I kept thinking they mixed soap with the dressing. We sent them back and explained they did not taste good. When we got the check, we were still billed for the salads ($26) and they refused to adjust the bill. They also charged us a gratuity without giving us an option to leave what we wanted. We were not the only customers upset that night either. Go to another Hibachi restaurant, there is a great one in Westport, CT. Avoid this one like the plague. The Manager was belligerent and did not care at all. What a shame.

Expensive, unimpressive, and unattentive. I went in for sushi and found the place nearly deserted, yet it took a long time for waitstaff to seat me, take a drink order, bring it out, take a dinner order, and then get the check. Each time I was left waiting for ages. A simple Coke was an exercise in rip-offs - over $2 for a small glass, and despite the lack of other patrons the waiter never bothered to offer a water refill (but did offer a Coke refill - at full price for the second glass, which he neglected to mention). The sushi was decent but nothing special and the spicy tuna came nowhere near to living up to its name. Then the bill hit. Ive had bigger and better sushi dinners in the middle of Manhattan that cost less. There are plenty of other sushi options within a few miles. Try Sakura a few miles down route 1 instead, or Janis over on the Wilton side of Norwalk, by the Wal-Mart. Either one has better sushi, better service, and cheaper prices.

For a Bond Grill lover, this was an amazing experience. My friend and I came here for a spur of the moment night out (after I had a bad day) and we went balls to the wall in terms of ordering. We started with sake and an appetizer of spiced salmon roe and uni. We then got a platter of nigiri and Hashim. The sushi chef let us know that the owner ships everything in fresh from Japan everything was incredibly fresh and they obviously have very talented sushi chefs there. We sat at the sushi bar and felt like we were the only ones in the restaurant in terms of service.

I absolutely love the hibachi... I have been there several times but this last experience was the WORST!!! I was out with my family enjoying our food everything went well until the bill comes out. I pay & left a tip as usual but as we are walking out we are surrounded by employs, stopped & told our tip is not enough. I have never in my life experience that type of treatment. I understand times are hard but that was ridiculous, I will never go back to this place again. I advise you not to either... Nagoya it is

We went there recently and menu looks like everything costly $25-$30 per head just for the food. and drinks extra. food is not even worth for $15.00 but they are charging $25-$30. Also I noticed a worse thing two waiters are standing left and right of the table and looking to the customers from beginning to end. So customers cannot eat peacefully. and the another thing I noticed when they bring the bill I saw they added 20% gratuity charge without customers permission.

After only ordering drinks (pink lemonade, non alcoholic), I asked for my partys bill, and after paying it (and leaving a tip), was told I owed a $26 tip!! For pink lemonade?! I was told no matter what, if I sit, I owe that tip. I reminded the waitress that I had already paid a tip, however, she felt she deserved a bigger one. For pink lemonade!! I doubt Ill be going back to Bond Grill!

Excellent service. Phenomenal chef. Everything prepared to perfection. Only downside was the hibachi table next to us full of obnoxiously loud "Gen-exers"! Were they my children, now the same age I would have said something, wait, my now adult children know how to behave in public and would not have behaved in such an inappropriate manner!

The food was not good. The sauces tasted bland, almost like they bought a huge container of cheap teriyaki from Costco. It didnt taste fresh. Overall was not a good experience. Dont waste your time or money. We would have been better off ordering Chinese take out.

Staff was rude, unattentive. Prices where high for the amount of food a drinks dispursed and the Filet Mignon had me sick for two days straight. Missed work because of it and when I called to complain the manager, a man, could care less. Great Service, yeah right
