Just left here a few minutes ago . I used to come to this place all of the time because their Ackee & Salt fish is good and they used to always have it at any time of day . Today when I went I asked for a medium Ackee and salt fish and only boiled dumplings and sweet plantain , like I always do . She put two boiled dumplings in a medium pan and said "do you want fried dumpling because we dont have anymore boiled " I said no Ill have plantain with it . Then she goes "Im going to make it a small and put it in a small container " then proceeded to give me the last little bit of Ackee and salt fish they had left . Instead of saying she will charge me less she kept asking if I wanted more sides . If I wanted more sides than my actual meal then I wouldve ordered dumplings , plantains , banana & yam with a side of Ackee ! My friend also always orders his oxtails with jerk sauce / gravy on the rice . He literally asked twice & of course he opened his container when he got home to find dry rice ! This is the second time his food was dry from this place . Their service is terrible and food is not that good Rootsman Jamaican restaurant is much better !

I cant find the words to tell you how AMAZING the food is here and the jerk pork OMFG. This place is a must i live 35 min away and at one point I was going here twice a day everyday breakfast and dinner, the line could have been down the block and around the corner nothing would have stop me from getting my food. Im from NYC and its better than home, if you dont love the food then something is so very wrong with you and you dont know great food.

Like most places, they start out good then they either rush the food or water it down, the oxtail is HORRIBLE, Ill never buy it there again. Some of the food is also prepared the night before, you can taste it... for the people who are claiming this is the best, you just dont know what real good jamaican food taste like. Try Ochi Rios Jerk center, the food is fresh and chicken is Jerk out back on the grill everyday. You wont be disappointed.

I absolutely love this place!! I started going here probably about two months ago, and I have not stopped going since! The food quality is forever consistant and affordable (you get a lot for buck), the staff is super nice, and the food overall is absolutely delicious! I go here for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, and have managed to get my co-workers and family members hooked on this place! Best jamaican restaurant in town hands down!!!

I had the oxtail and rice. I thoroughly enjoyed it. I hadnt the chance to sit down and enjoy the food but I felt a great vibe with the music and the physical layout of the restaurant. In addition theres a shop which sells jewelry and clothing. I hadnt decided to buy anything because they were closing but this was a very unique spot to me unlike any other Caribbean restaurant that Ive been to before.

Ive eaten here several times and felt compelled to take the time to give them a well deserved review. First and foremost the food is consistently good. My favorite is the jerk pork which is full of flavor without the extreme heat-yummy. The oxtails and curry chicken were also good. If you want a great alternative to the norm- pizza, chinese etc, give Kingston Kafe a try, you wont be disappointed.

The Employees at Kingston Kafe are so warm and nice, great place to take out or eat in, I just love the food so much, and it also helps when you love the staff, hands down this is the BEST Jamaican Restaurant in the whole state of Ct., keep doing your thing Kingston Kafe, I am a loyal customer for life, five star for sure

Food was absolutely scrumptious!! The staff was really courteous and the plates were plentiful. Go there with a good appetite and you will not be disappointed. I had the Escovitched Snapper and my wife and kids had the Oxtail and the Jerk Chicken. Delicious food and great service!

I have been to a lot of Caribbean/jamaican restaurants but none compare to quality of food that is produced by this restaurant....excellent...the only reason why i didnt give it a five star was the service sometimes can be a little tedious because of differences....

These people are dishonest. I ordered oxtail with no rice, they closed the box with a lot of other stuffs that I did not order. I realized the tricked me until I got to my house. The oxtail was bad and the service was poor and dishonest. Do not go there.

I was told about this restaurant by a coworker who spoke highly about the food so I decided to give it a try. I must say I was not disappointed. The ladies who served were just phenomenal, A+ for customer service. A second and third visit is in order.

Really great food and nice staff. The only reason it gets 4 stars instead of 5 is that very often theyre out of the jerk pork and jerk chicken! I know that theyre popular items, but they should buy their inventory accordingly.

Very disappointed that its not wheelchair accessible. A small ramp up a 4" step is all that would be needed. Im sure the food is delicious but we had to go elsewhere.
