American and British comfort foods, great waffles and egg dishes. This is an unusual restaurant - a favorite of locals, motorcyclists, and Appalachian Trail hikers. Excellent tea served in proper British tea pots. Every meal is prepared one at a time, so if it is crowded the wait can be long, but you are bound to fall into conversation with the varied and friendly crowd. Outdoor and front porch seating available too. Prices are modest. One of my favorite stops when I am in Falls Village.

Greg and Annie do a great job. Its just Greg in the kitchen so it can be up to an hour for food. Its well worth it, their food is amazing and so is their coffee. While waiting grab a cup of coffee or a drink and a book and relax. Toymakers is a hidden gem in Northwest Connecticut. Must try items are the waffles and the burgers.

Very good food and an incredibly warm staff. I can happily recommend the sandwiches, smoothies, muffins, and salads. Theres a cool mix of bikers, hikers, and everyone else. (FYI theyre very hiker friendly, you can camp for free)

my "special" omelet took 45 mins to make and turned out to be microwaved in an omelet container. the bacon was literally bacon bits poured into the microwaveable container prior to cooking...and cost $10.

I hate to be one of those people that says we waited an hour + for our food (busy Sunday morning) and they got 2 out of 3 meals wrong... So I wont say it :-) Nice hang out for biker-lites though.

Two of the warmest hearts in Connecticut here running this Cafe the 2nd smallest town in the state. Worth driving to give them a visit for some coffee, breakfast, and small town warmth.

Banger platter and the cinnamon waffle is usual superb. The wait can be a bit long depending when you arrive. If they accepted credit cards Id give them a 5 star.
