Last afternoon, my wife and I were driving on West Main and as we crossed the Greenwich Ave intersection, the word "Teff" caught my eye as we drove across a new facade where a deli used to be. I looked to my wife and said "I bet thats a new Ethiopian place". Later that night, we stopped by for dinner and we absolutely loved it! Teff is a family run restaurant (our server is a daughter of the owners and we also met the owners son) that serves their food with warmth, proudness and love. The food is fresh, flavorful and fun to eat. My order of Dorho Tibs was excellent and my wife loved her vegan tasting. The quality of their food was discernible from all fronts, excellent meal! They also roast their own Ethiopian coffee beans and the coffee was delicious. With the West Side of Stamford lacking good sit down dinner options, Teff is an excellent and fairly priced addition to the neighborhood. We loved it and will go back again and again. So glad Teff is so close to home! Check it out, itll be your new favorite!

I happen to take my family to try Ethiopian and one of the worst food I ever had, I did tried in Indianapolis Major restaurant which was amazing and here the Teff is cold and sour very sour I felt like it is spoiled or may be stored for days and all the curry is smell bad and when I comlianed she justices saying it was organic and gluten free. I also tried Gluten free food which wont be sour or smell bad. Never again this crap food and she did not even consider to talk to us. I doubt how ppl gave good rating to this crap, people planning to go to try ethiopian please ask them if the Teff will be hot or cold or please visit Major Restuarant in Indianapolis, IN which is the best food. They serve you the real Ethipoian Food.

I was previously introduced to Ethiopian food from a Co-worker, who happens to be a fantastic cook in her own right...I love Everything about their cuisine, since being spoiled, the moment you taste all the array of favorable spicy spices and your taste buds explode...The atmosphre sets the stage with the art, relaxing music, cleaniness and the staff are very knowable, warm & courteous, family oriented....Only downside is they arent open for lunch, & more often...hours are 5:00 PM TO 10:00 PM Wed - Sun...a little pricy....BUT you will definitely CRAVE, if you love to explore something outta this world...A wonderful time each time I need a real treat...Great 2 know they deliver.

Teff is a fantastic Ethiopian restaurant in Stamford. The staff is friendly, the food is wonderful and nutritious, and the whole experience is one of a kind. Theres plenty of veggie friendly options as well; if you dont try the portobello mushrooms you are missing out on the best thing on the menu. Elsa, our server, did a great job creating a dinner that hit every taste bud with spice and flavor. I fully recommend this place to anyone trying to expand their palette and those who arent scared to get some spice in their lives. P.S. if you dont eat with your hands, youre doing it wrong!

Probably by far one of the best, authentic Ethiopian/Eritrean restaurants in the Northeast Coast of the US. It is operated by members of the same family - the chef in the kitchen, the welcoming maitre d, most of the serving personnel and the owner/manager. They have a great deal of pride in sharing the succulent Ethiopian food. Their injera is simply superb. You experience attentive and personalized service. Highly recommended and not to be missed!

Sparsely decorated restaurant, with an easy access ramp in case of strollers or wheelchair. First time trying Ethiopian food (aside from a food cart in New Haven), and though the food was very delicious. Great combination of vegetarian dishes with meats. Definitely worth a try. Tips: closed on Monday and Tuesday, street parking can be a challenge. According to restaurant website, you can (and I did) park in the AutoTech parking lot down the street.

If youre looking for a different dining experience, this is your place! Food was extremely tasty and flavorful. It was pretty busy on a Wednesday evening, but we were seated quickly. Very attentive service, these guys are hustling! I appreciated the family business aspect and the food was delicious. If you like mushrooms, spend the extra money for that vegan dish, it was fuego. Definitely will be back

Amazing food and friendly, helpful staff. I wasnt sure what veggie dishes to order as sides with my Siga tibs so one of the employees recommended some of his favorites and, man, everything was so good! Some of Stamfords finest cuisine right here! Do yourself a favor and dont miss out on this place!

Phenomenal food, family owned. Great experience. We take our guests and family friends from out of town here. Just added a nice wine list, too. Very comparable to other African and Ethiopian restaurants. Highly recommend for those looking to make the great meal a part of the conversation.

I went to Capital Grille on a Saturday evening. It was very crowded so I would recommend making a reservation. My date and I opted to eat in the bar area where Adam was an excellent bar tender. I had the Sliced Filet Oscar with Lump Crab and Béarnaise? Delicious is and understatement.

Possibly the best Ethiopian restaurant outside Ethiopia. The food is superb, the servers are most attentive and well informed, pricing is right, and the husband and wife owners are a delight to visit with. Stamford, CT is lucky to have such an authentic restaurant. Must try!

One of the best restaurants in Stamford. Ethiopian food is delicious and fun – not only because you eat with your hands. Friendly service. Good wine. Theres free parking up Mill River Road at the Auto Tech.

Amazing steaks and seafood. Fine dining in an upscale setting. Attentive high quality service. But be prepared to pay for it, the restaurant is at the top end in terms of prices too.
