Damn you Lorca - Youve changed my entire view on coffee. I have had a roaster, Mazzer Grinder and Cimbali espresso machine in my home for years. I pride myself on my Single Origin Espressos and generally worry about D&D, and Charbucks drinkers. I work in Stamford, far from the cool coffee shops in NYC, and I reluctantly went into Lorca to see if I could get a decent Macchiatto. I asked a simple question: Can I have an Ehtiopian Macchiatto? The answer was no.. Then I was told they only have one kind of bean for espresso drinks and I was shocked. I had done my research and was expecting a plethora of choices (though I know they would need a plethora of grinders). Then I was told they had a blend for the espresso drinks and I was appalled. I asked if it was a light roast, and was told it was kinda medium. I braced myself for the ashtray like flavors of old, over-roasted, coffee beans. Imagine my surprise when the drink I was served turned out to be in the top 5 best coffee drinks I have ever had in my life! I put a serious amount of effort into my coffee and to be rewarded with such a drink is amazing. I am now blending my beans furiously trying to duplicate the complexity of flavors found in that cup, and I love the fact that Lorca has pulled me out of my SO addiction. If you want to try espresso the way it was meant to be then GO TO LORCA. I also had a chocolate croissant that was good too. And yes, I know the purists say espresso should be milk-free, but sometimes I like a nice macchiatto. Im going back right now if I can get a break from work.

Lorca is undoubtedly the best coffee shop in Stamford. They are continually bringing in new flavorful roasts that perfectly compliment their variety of soups, sandwiches, and baked goods. The baristas are also extremely knowledgeable and take the time to make perfect espresso drinks. The shop is small enough to feel cozy if youre trying to relax but large enough to accommodate a group of people if youre having a casual business meeting or catching up with friends. They also offer special order full cakes, pies, and other desserts with several gluten free options.

The sweetest place. I love it, my wife love it, my kids love it, and what else can I ask for? Maybe few more Churros ;) Good coffee and good atmosphere. I consider Lorca unique. When the most you can find in Stamford in Starbucks (Which do offer good coffee, the problem is that it taste the same), it is nice to have something with different flavors. And when you add to that the friendly people who work here, you just found a great spot for coffee and fresh sweets.

Lorca is great. If you want to try a legitimate taste of what Spain has to offer come in for a few churros and dont hold back on the dipping sauce (chocolates in a variety of flavors). They also have an extensive sampling of fine coffees that are constantly changing and curated by a staff that knows their coffee and is excited to share it with the world. 10/10!

Very ambient place, friendly and efficient staff, coffee and desserts are legit! :) I love the Yogurt muffins, the almond croissant, ginger snap cookies, and the spinach ricotta turnover. And I am especially obsessed with their Cappuccino! If youre looking for a great coffee place in downtown Stamford to hang out and indulge in, Lorcas the place to be... ;)

Best coffee in Stamford hands down. I get the cappuccino and its consistently the right temperature and consistency. Stamford could use more of this, small, friendly and you can tell they care about the quality of all of their goodies as well as the coffee. Your definitely missing out if you havent been and the churros are off the hook.

On a street overrun with Italian-American restaurants, Lorca is refreshing addition to the Bedford St. scene. The coffee is of extremely high-quality and meticulously prepared with care. Order a sack of churros! They are made fresh to order – served crispy and hot. Need a place to chill and relax after work? This is it.

Good cappuccino and sandwich. I was surprised at how good the turkey sandwich was, I would recommend lunch here as well as picking up coffee. Expect to pay $3-5 dollars for a coffee and $6-9 for a sandwich. The pastries looked delicious as well, didnt get to try them though

Coffee is very good, not the best Ive ever had but by far the best in Stamford. Their breakfast sandwiches are incredible and their pastries are also quite good. I also really like the interior of thier shop, very nice to grab coffee and breakfast on a lazy morning.

Best coffee hands down! They use counter culture coffee and have various blends. My favorite is the Ethiopian pour over coffee. Their breakfast sandwiches are delicious too. Its a small place, theres always a small line of 3-4 people and the staff is really nice.

Their coffee and churros are amazing and they have excellent customer service! I wish this place was bigger, but its still a great place to grab lunch, do homework, or have a chat with an old friend. Their dulce de leche is perfect and home-made, who can beat that ?!

Im a little bit of an espresso snob, this place makes a very good cortado. I wouldnt call it award winning blow your mind espresso, but their drinks are consistent and very good. In comparison to every other coffee shop in Stamford, this is 5 stars hands down.

I ordered hot chocolate, a croissant, and a ginger cookie. They were all lovely. The hot chocolate wasnt too sweet, very earthy and light. The croissant was a simple and classic croissant, and the ginger cookie was soft, chewy, and sweet. Highly recommend.

Good coffee, excellent breakfast sandwich, hipster atmosphere yet not unpleasant. Very small inside so not comfortable if crowded. I would have given 5 stars but at $3 for a diner-sized mug of a single coffee (no refills) its a bit of a rip-off.

Beautiful little independent coffee shop! Had a delicious pour over, and loved the lack of snobbishness you usually find in a small coffee shop :) Staff was friendly and knowledgeable as well! Highly recommended if you are in the area.

Ample, flexible space. Room for everybody. Tables outside, side one top bar, regular tables and a communal table. Attention to detail. Personable. Nice atmosphere. Good food. A couple of outlets. What more is there to life?

The best little coffee shop in the greater Stamford area. While they definitely need to get a bigger location, the coffee + churros is a unique combo. Been here many times and always felt welcomed.

The best little cafe in stamford. I willingly spend money here because the staff is super friendly and their chais (iced or hot) are my absolute favorite. And its not badly priced either!

I really wish this place wasnt so pricy. This is the best coffee I have ever had. Make sure you try the fresh dulce de leche that they make in your coffee! And dont forget the churros.
