Food is consistently good and reasonably priced. The Pork Lo Mein goes great with their homemade chili sauce because it gives it a nice kick. The Chicken and Broccoli goes good with both the brown sauce or the garlic sauce, and they always leave the broccoli a little crunchy which is the only way to do it in my opinion! The General Tsos Chicken is very good, but not spicy enough for my taste so I have them make it extra spicy and its perfect. The Sweet and Sour Chicken is definitely my favorite meal here, probably because it has a nice crunch to it, and I find the sauce to be better than any other Chinese food place in the areat. Same goes for the Sesame Chicken, Lemon Chicken and Orange Chicken. The chicken is always cooked right and Ive never had it come out really chewy like some other places Ive been too. The Spring Rolls, Egg Rolls, and Crab Rangoon are all very good as well. If you like to put duck sauce on those things like I do, you definitely want to ask them for their homemade duck sauce. It is head and shoulders above the pre-packaged stuff when it comes to flavor. The sushi is always good and tastes fresh, although I would say its pretty standard other than that. Also, if youre really into specialty rolls, they unfortunately dont have as large of a selection as a Japanese place or sushi bar. The portions are all pretty big, as I can usually eat half, have a full belly and still have plenty left over for lunch the next day. My orders never take over 20 minutes to complete and I get there 5-10 minutes early sometimes and it will be ready for me a couple minutes earlier. Mr.Lee at the front counter is a super nice guy and is never stingy when you ask for extras such as the homemade sauces, chopsticks, etc... If you have not tried Oriental Gourmet yet, you need to.

Been going here since before I could walk, long time family friends. Wait staff is always good, prices very fair, especially for the quality of the food. Tea is amazing(still trying to figure out what kind they use and how they brew it)and I dont think Ive ever tried anything I didnt either really like, or love. Also, try the mai tai, you wont regret it, just dont drink and drive ;p Have YET to find another Chinese restaurant that that even comes half as good, and Ive had good Chinese food experiences, so take that for what its worth. Just go and try it! You wont be disappointed =) Also, I think they won 8th best in all the U.S.A. So yeah, Gǎnxiè nín! Xīwàng kàn dào nín de dàolái!

Ive only had the Chinese food, but let me say, coming from someone who is Chinese, I was pleasantly surprised. My favorite is the Crispy Duck; its a little greasy, but really flavorful and authentic. Ive been here a couple of times and most of the dishes have been plenty tasty. Not everything is perfect. Some of the dishes lean on the sweet side and can be a little greasy, and the Hot and Sour Soup was a little too spicy for me, but overall, the food is pretty impressive for a CT Chinese restaurant. The quality of service depends on the waitress you have, and throughout our meal, we had three different waitresses serving us.

Meh... Service was terrible, they didnt even offer if we wanted a soda but did bring us water. The guy at the door greeted us nicely, the food was so so. The waitress was almost non existent, unattentive and not friendly. She didnt bring us any side plates to serve ourselves or dishes for the soy sauce, entree... I saw them seating people with fried wontons which they did not bring us until we were almost done eating. It was a little over priced for what it was. We were passing through the area and stopped in for dinner but I wouldnt recommend this place.

$50 tab for 3 people to eat there is unacceptable... I have been there before, but the tab didnt exceed $20 for 2 patrons. We only had 3 meals and 2 sodas this time. The staff was rude and disrespectful. They were rushing us the whole time we were there. They were abrupt and didnt want us to linger and enjoy the cuisine nor the company. The bill was in Chinese and chicken scratch. We couldnt make head nor tails of it. I will never eat there again. The hospitality was horrendous. I would recommend dining elsewhere.

I dont care what anyone says, the food was absolutely awesome. Im from New York and we have 3 billion chinese restaurants. I know good chinese food. I am also a chef so I know what Im tasting about! TRUST ME its good. Orange beef----homerun!!! One last thing, the service was over the top. Jasmine who Im guessing is the owner pretty much bent over backwards for me and my brother. So not sure where these other reviewers ate but this place rocks!!!!!

They do not prepare Thai food properly. International food is labeled but not prepared correctly. We went into this restaurant with 2 people who had celiacs disease and an msg allergy. We were contaminated with gluten after we clearly told them it would make us sick and then they yelled at us when we complained and made us pay for it anyway. Do not eat here!!!!! They Also use msg in everything. We wish we knew we were traveling and didnt know better

The food lacks any flavor. Egg rolls were raw inside. Ribs were hard just like boiled and not seasoned. The white rice was still hard. Hunan Style Beef had no salt or any kind of spices. Bland , Bland ,Bland! I was going here for years it was excellent but now during these past 6 months its really awful. I gave 2 tries & same thing no change - I threw out the food. They most have a new chef who is terrible! Not going there again.

Done been going there for three years and its my top pick for Chinese food in the area. Its quality. They dont cut corners or try to stretch the meat like a lot of other places. The sushis great too. Just figured its about time I give them recognition.

Our family goes here 1-2x. The food is consistently good, some times very good. Most importantly Oriental Gourmet has never let us down with a bad meal. The service is also consistently good. Even the sushi is not extraordinary but solid and fresh.

I have been going there for years now. Very consistent and delicious! In my taste, the best Chinese restaurant in the Western half of CT. I can only say that because I tried many places out here and Oriental Gormet is the tastiest.

Ive been there twice and I think the food sucks! Its way overpriced for what it is! I just thought the first time maybe it was a bad night gave them a second chance it wasnt worth it!

Best Chinese food around! Theyve been rated #7 of the top 100 Chinese restaurants in the country for many years counting now and the quality of the food remains top notch!

The staff was very attentive, keeping our hot tea flowing. I enjoyed their Pad Thai. It was quiet when we arrived on a Sunday afternoon, but soon filled up.
