I had emailed to see if they could do a birthday cake for my son. I added a picture with the email. I got a call back the next day saying they could do it. The picture was a light blue butter cream cake that had ombred to a darker blue. With a sponge bob fondant figure on top. It was going to be $30 each figure so I said I will put my own topping on, but I wanted it to look exactly like the picture. I asked if she could do seaweed and coral on the sidesin fondant. She said yes but it would be extra. So I said just do seaweed and in buttercream. She asked what flavor I wanted and I said vanilla. It took me a min to figure which flavor cake I wanted and she seemed agitated. Like figure it out. So when going over the cake I said so its going to look like the picture with seaweed on the sides? She said well not the same color. So I was confused. She said its going to be coral. I told her that when I said coral it was like coral reef. I never said color. Which is an easy confusion, but she seemed annoyed like it was my fault. So I went over every detail , she never told me where to pick up. Just to pickup before 2. Which the party was at 2. So the day before the party I went to the website to call to make sure I could pick it up in the morning. I called and this lady answered. I asked about my order, she said she doesnt see it call the other bakery to make sure they had my order. I called the other number on the website. This lady answered and I I told her what the other lady said. She was very rude. She said I cant see any of the orders youll have to call the other place. She didnt want to listen. I told her I called the other place first. I kept trying to ask her if she could check to see if she has my cake. Everytime I would start talking and cut me off and try to hang up on me. So rude!! I was just annoyed. So finally I went into my call log on my phone, to make sure I called the right bakery. I did,called the number on my phone. This man answers, finally someone asked me my name and saw that my cake was there and I could pick it up when I needed the next day. I picked it up the next day and it was just so so. It wasnt a hard cake to make and it wasnt right. It was just a light blue cake wit a darker blue thin strips at the bottom. A far cry from the picture. So after all of that very frustrating. The cake tastes very good but after the customer service. I will be choosing a different bakery next time. I never right reviews but you cant fix it if no one says anything.

After speaking on the phone about 2 cakes I needed for a birthday party (one plain cake with a runway for planes on it, and one cake shaped like a plane), they asked that I come in so I get "exactly what I want". When I went in for a consultation, the girl who helped was very nice, assuring me that they can do the cakes how I want. We discussed design, toppings, fillings, etc., and I was given an estimate of $30 for the plain cake and $50 for the shaped cake. I left a few toy planes for the plain cake and was on my way (after giving a $50 deposit), being told I will get a call the next day to confirm the price. I did not receive a call the next day, so I called back. Patty goes on to tell me that the price has gone up to $70 for the plain cake (to feed about 20 people), and $150 for the shaped cake (to feed 15). I told her no way and that is ridiculous, so I had to go back there to retrieve my deposit and my sons toy planes. When asked if it is their normal business practice to give an estimate, take money as a deposit, then increase the price 2-3 times, Patty had no response except, "Youre design is intricate. Fondant is expensive." I asked for NOT fondant, and asked her why she has people working and taking orders and giving estimates to customers who apparently have no clue what they are talking about, and she just goes back to the "intricate design". I wonder if I would have gotten my deposit back if I was the one to change my mind (DOUBT IT!!) She offered nothing as a peace offering. A rectangle with a runway on it? A cake shaped like a plane? If these are difficult for her, she better get out of the cake business. I would call a wedding cake intricate, not a cake for a 5 year olds birthday. Stop and shop will be making my rectangular cake with the same design Patti was going to do for about $40 (and will feed more people). I will be making the plane shaped cake for a grand total of $7. Look online for design ideas and templates, but STAY AWAY FROM PATTY CAKES!!!!!!! Dont waste your time or money here.

OMG!!! The services here was friendly and efficient. They offer a nice variety of flavored coffee, or regular coffee with flavored cream. The cookies are incredible! Full of flavor and soft in the center. A must try. The only reason this is a four and not a five, is that I also ordered a cinnamon stick which was not as flavorful as I would have liked. The dough was a little sour and it overpowered the cinnamon. It wasnt bad, but took a little getting use to. However, it was a nice compliment to the coffee that I over sweetened.

Best bagels in the Hartford area. They are not tough. They are SO soft and tastey. They freeze well. And their fresh cream cheeses are super creamy like spreading clouds on your bagel. I love the French Toast bagel. Their walnut raisin and their chive cream cheeses are my favorite. Because the cream cheese is the real deal, it does not last long, unless you freeze it. I freeze it in serving portions, so you only thaw what you need. They also have lots of taste pastries and cupcakes.

On the day before Mardi Gras, I was so stressed that I could not find a single bakery to bake me a king cake. I must have called a dozen bakeries before Patty Cakes said they would bake me not one, but two king cakes. And better yet, they could do it in less than 24 hours. Their cake was delicious and it made my Mardi Gras day so much better. Thank you Patty Cakes!

The food is good but the service is always awful. No one can remember a simple order and Ive had to repeat myself five times. The first time I thought it was just a fluke but its happened on three occasions. Not to mention my order wasnt correct one time even after repeating myself. I want to look for this place but they def dont make it easy.

Watched the owner/ cook answer her cell phone, store phone and play with her hair while.making my egg sandwich...(wearing gloves touching my food in between) Gross! If they are dirty enough to work like this in front of the customers, I can only imagine what goes.on when they arent watching. Lost all my business.
